Bachelor's degree in marine engineering or electrical engineering.
Professional Engineering (PE) Licensure in a relevant discipline is expected. Applicants without PE license who would be eligible to take the licensing exam in their first year may be considered.
Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, Rhino3D or SolidWorks) and Microsoft Office software packages.
Proficiency with power systems analysis software packages (SKM (preferred), EDSA, eTAP, or EasyPower).
Strong communication, technical writing, teamwork abilities, and excellent problem solving skills.

Job Summary:
The Senior Electrical Engineer is a position within FORTNA's Electrical Engineering team responsible for directing the design and documentation of electrical controls deliverables of FORTNA's Material Handling Systems. The ideal candidate has significant experience and background in Electrical Engineering / design and is experienced and/or capable of providing leadership and direction to the Electrical Engineering project team during project implementation. Leadership tasks shall be aligned with FORTNA's Integrated Design Methodology to ensure successful project implementation. This role requires design tasks direction utilizing standard design tools to provide high quality electrical designs in support of Clients' needs.
Responsibilities:
Leading, directing, delivering, and supporting multiple projects through the detail design and implementation phase.
Directing project teams and support resources during development of RFP/Supplier Selection, detailed electrical design packages, equipment procurement activities, installation drawing packages, and support of installation contractors, Project Manager, and Site Manager with installation efforts
Providing input and influencing Description of Operation (DOO) & Functional Specification Documentation (FSD) to ensure documents align with Electrical Engineering implementation plans
Contributing electrical drawings, BOMs, and design content that meet the project requirements and customer expectations.
Identifying project meetings cadence and resource requirements:
Developing Electrical Engineering work plan and resource requirements to ensure successful project milestone achievements
Ensuring deliverables meets Drawing Quality Control (DQC) requirements:

The Electrical Systems Engineer is responsible for generating a working design concept and costs for material handling systems based on AutoCAD layouts and equipment lists. They will receive guidance from experienced Systems Engineers and managers. The majority of the design work will take place in a brownfield environment requiring attention detail with respect to product flow around existing conveyance and structures.
Responsibilities:
Utilize the existing FORTNA costing toolset to generate mechanical equipment costs for new material handling systems, modifications to existing systems and change orders.
Collaborate with internal departments as required to estimate costs for electrical/controls engineering, electrical installation, project management, etc.
Estimating other project costs such as freight, permits, etc.
Evaluate customer Request for Quote (โRFQโ) documents and ensure that our costing is inclusive of their requirements and specifications.
Generate RFQ documentation for external material and labor suppliers.
Generate proposal documentation in Microsoft Word and Excel formats.
Lead customer design review meetings.
Lead executive level meetings to review project scope and costing with both internal stake holders and customers.
Develop and maintain and enhance a working knowledge of customer specifications.
Develop and maintain a working knowledge of various conveyor components such as conveyor drives, belting, sorters, etc.
Analyze system layouts and flow rates as required to ensure proper system operation.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Ability to analyze and modify AutoCAD 2D drawings.
Ability to create electrical equipment lists, bill of materials, etc.
Ability to analyze and evaluate existing control panels that will require modifications to support potential enhancements.
Ability to analyze existing electrical systems (physical obstructions, conduit, etc.) in order to create viable working solutions for customers.

SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE: The Intern role is an introduction into the world of forensic and consulting engineering. The Intern will experience all facets of forensic engineering consulting including, but not limited to, technical research, report writing, site inspections and test projects. The role will receive coaching and mentorship provided by the Team Leads as well as access to all engineering and core functions of the company.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Apply technical discipline to conduct in-depth technical research concerning pricing, specifications and equipment repair options and replacements.
Contribute to the investigation of an incident including but not limited to collection of evidence, documentation of site and associate equipment and photograph all equipment and areas related to the claim.
Work with the Team Lead to write reports based on investigative findings.
Travel to required location(s) for either site inspection, trial witness requirements, or client meetings.
Setup and run test projects. Collect the requisite data and distill the data into usable information.
Assist consultants with marketing efforts and matter related work on an as needed basis.
Required Skills/Abilities:

The appropriate PPE will be for these inspections. At times, artifacts from the site inspection will be secured which will involve the lifting, protecting and manipulating items up to 60 lbs.

Electrical Engineering Co-op Program
The Electrical Engineering Co-op Program with nVent's Electrical Connections Business is a structured experiential learning program that gives students the opportunity to couple their academic knowledge with practical situations in the work place, and simultaneously allows nVent to evaluate students as potential direct-hire talent. The program is rotational between various departments, including Product Engineering, Product Development, Manufacturing, Labs and Compliance, and Digital Media Development. It is designed to engage students in the entire engineering process from development, through testing and applications, and to production. Students are assigned rotations and projects based on their academic levels and engineering capabilities and are given opportunities to champion these projects to completion and make significant contributions to existing processes. Applications Engineering: Co-ops work within a team of engineers who design and implement new products within existing product lines. Responsibilities may include:

Assisting with capital equipment purchases, maintenance improvements, and tooling improvements.
Supporting process improvements projects including tooling design, working with outside vendors, assisting personnel on the manufacturing floor, and conducting time studies geared towards improving cost, efficiency, and safety.
Engaging with the Quality department, including correcting and updating technical information on product drawings, designing gauges to be used for inspection and testing of product, and updating or creating documentation used for collection of inspection data.
Supporting and understanding nVent's Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles. As part of their manufacturing experience, co-ops will be immersed in Lean Manufacturing processes, improvements, events, evaluations, and projects. These include Kaizen events, Gemba walks, 5S events, TPM implementation, SMED Projects for set-up reduction, and CCF & MMF events.
Labs and Compliance: Co-ops build and support test programs for EFS products. Responsibilities may include:
Developing test plans to verify product design intent

JOB SUMMARY
As an Automation Engineer at CPP, you will be responsible for designing, programming, maintaining, and troubleshooting PLC control systems in an aerospace investment casting manufacturing environment. A strong background in ladder logic programming is required, and experience with robotics (specifically Fanuc and Kawasaki) and ignition programming is highly beneficial but not mandatory. The ideal candidate will contribute to the efficient operation, optimization, and continuous improvement of automated manufacturing systems. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Design, develop, implement, and maintain automation systems to improve efficiency and consistency in the investment casting process.
* Program, configure, troubleshoot, and improve robotic systems, PLCs, and other automated equipment to ensure efficient and reliable operations.
* Diagnose and resolve issues related to PLC-controlled systems, sensors, motors, actuators, and other automated machinery.
* Identify and implement improvements to automation systems to enhance efficiency, reduce downtime, and optimize production processes. Work closely with production teams to implement upgrades and process enhancements.
* Collaborate with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to ensure seamless integration of automated systems.
* Develop and maintain documentation, including system designs, programming files, and operating procedures.
* Provide training and technical support to maintenance teams and operators on PLC programming, control system troubleshooting, and automation systems as needed.
* Stay current with advancements in automation technologies and apply innovative solutions to CPP processes.
* Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to resolve production challenges.

* Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians.

QUALIFICATIONS
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Automation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
* Experience: 3+ years of experience in automation engineering, preferably in investment casting or a similar manufacturing environment
* PLC Programming: Strong experience in PLC programming with an emphasis on ladder logic. Hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley or similar PLC platforms is required.
* Automation Systems Experience: Solid experience with automation systems, including sensors, actuators, motors, drives, and other equipment used in systems. Experience with SCADA systems and HMI programming.
* Problem-Solving Skills: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues in automation systems, PLCs, and robotics.
* Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide training to operators and maintenance personnel.
* Safety Focus: Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in manufacturing environments, especially related to electrical systems and automation.

Job Purpose
Controls Engineer responsible for planning and implementation to upgrade existing and install new building controls utilizing self, team, and contractor abilities. Design Mechanical systems, develop schedules, budgets and forecasts, select materials, equipment, project staff and contractors. Estimate costs, resources and time required to complete. Ensures controls architecture consistency between sites and analyzes technology trends. Includes focus on development and sustainability of the mechanical infrastructure (HVAC, Chillers, Air compressors, Utilities). Direct site building control related activities, through team members and contractors, to meet site needs (e.g. controls upgrade and replacements, programming optimization, standardization, and operations enhancements). Focus is to maximize cost efficiency and usability while minimizing risk to production and maintenance downtime. Job requires constant interaction with department's engineering and maintenance teams along with external customers and contractors.
This position will be joining the Facilities department in Honda Development & Manufacturing of America, LLC's (HDMA). The Facilities department is responsible for the building which includes new construction, remodels, utility management (electric, compressed air, natural gas, water), building maintenance, end-of-life equipment replacements and upgrades. The goal of the department is to create a facility that we are proud of and to serve our customers.
Key Accountabilities
* Manage BMS/BAS(Building Management System/Building Automation Systems) specification, design, and operation. Develop and implement multiyear strategy to complete BMS migration. Collaborate with HDMA Facilities controls leaders to standardize a unified approach. Manage and oversee programming and work with IT networking team.
* Support operation of Facilities mechanical and electrical systems including but not limited to centrifugal fans, burners, cooling/heating coils, pumps, centrifugal air compressors, centrifugal chillers, heat exchangers, utilities, metering, communications. Manage and maintain documentation for the site Mechanical Systems. Communicate critical updates to site system operators.
* Implement new engineering strategies and technologies to replace facilities equipment and systems at their end of life (EOL)
* Lead meetings and negotiate with customers and contractors of all levels and capabilities. Build mutually beneficial relationships with customers and contractors.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
Minimum Educational Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (in Mechanical, Controls or Electrical) or equivalent related controls experience
Minimum Experience
2+ years of relevant working experience in a Controls/Project Management/Facilities Capacity preferred
2+ years working experience with control systems architecture and programming preferred
