Qualifications:
GL-9: You qualify for the GL-9 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as:
Performing physical searches of detained individuals, their vehicles, and their immediate surroundings for weapons, contraband, currency, and other evidence.
Apprehending, physically restraining, or working with law enforcement officials to identify or apprehend violators of state, federal, or immigration laws.
Proficient in the use of firearms, preparing investigative reports, serving court orders (e.g., warrants, subpoenas, etc.), and gathering evidence for criminal cases prosecuted through the court system.
If you have previous or current law enforcement or military law enforcement experience, you may qualify at the GS-11 grade level.
GS-11: You qualify for the GS-11 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, with the authority granted by the state or government to enforce laws, make arrests, and investigate crimes, performing primary duties in an official law enforcement capacity such as:
Utilizing intelligence information to track illegal operations, criminal activity, threats to our nation, and/or contraband while serving as a state, federal, or military law enforcement official.
Leading investigations of fraud, contraband, criminal activity, threats to our nation, and/or illegal operations to determine sources and patterns while serving as a state, federal, or military law enforcement official.
Apprehending violators of state, federal, or immigration laws by utilizing various forms of complex technology that include surveillance, detection, situation awareness systems, and/or communications equipment.
The above experience will be applied in connection with the following: Make arrests and exercise sound judgment in the use of firearms; deal effectively with people in a courteous manner in connection with law enforcement matters; analyze information rapidly and make prompt decisions; or develop and maintain contact with a network of informants.
There are no education substitutions for the GL-9 or GS-11 grade-level Border Patrol Agent opportunities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides debit card support to members and staff while following guidelines established by the organization. Ensure that all interactions with cardholders and credit union staff are handled professionally, accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring optimal member service, integrity, and profitability.
Provide project support; assist with the research, evaluation, testing, installation, and monitoring of selected new vendors/systems
Perform member service responsibilities involving Debit card disputes and fraud claims in accordance with Visa's Operating Guidelines and Federal Regulations.
Work with external vendors to resolve member problems and inquiries
Originate and follow-up on charged back items (ATM/Debit/Credit)
Complete all annual regulatory reporting (e.g., Abandoned Property, IRA Tax, and IRS).
Generate and submit monthly reports for executive review.
Administer the process for abandoned property.
Responsible for the administration of IRA accounts, including follow-up with account opening, reporting errors, member inquiries, and compliance with Required Minimum Distribution guidelines.
Serve as backup to Deposit Support Analysts I and II as needed.
Implement the set up and maintain the operations of our business products (e.g., Positive Pay, ACH Manager, Business Online Wires etc.)
Provide support for internal and external members on complex daily online banking services (bill pay, external transfers, e-Statements, online banking etc.).
Resolve complex service needs, respond to e-requests, research and resolve escalated member issues within the documented SLA.
Keep abreast of new technologies that focus on the development and enhancement of banking services and make appropriate recommendations to Credit Union leadership. This includes reviewing and improving processes, procedures and forms used for banking services, to ensure the best user experience and greater efficiency.
Perform electronic product maintenance and member support including Debit Card program, IRA accounts, Returned Checks, ACH, ATM inquiries, and Wire Transfers.
Perform other accounting related work; cash letter preparation, certificate maintenance, overdrawn accounts, legal restraints, IRS and NYS tax levies, filing, regulatory reporting, etc.
Create and maintain procedures related to responsible tasks.
Self-schedule and attend bi-weekly webinars/e-learning trainings for growth and development.
Perform responsibilities of the position in accordance with federal and state regulations, credit union policies and procedures.
Assist in on-boarding and training of new employees.
Maintain well-developed product knowledge to ensure an advanced understanding of the features and functionality of the Credit Union's products and services.
Provide regular evaluation of process and procedure to improve workflow efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's degree in Business or Accounting (preferred) plus five to seven years' experience within a financial institution; or a comparable combination of education and experience.

Annual Base Salary for newly appointed CBPOs varies as follows:
GS-9: $61,111 - $124,443 per year

Facilitate and direct the nursing care in the unit/department. Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care. Utilize the nursing process as the means of care delivery.
Works with interdisciplinary teams.
Develops the nursing care to achieve optimal patient outcomes in collaboration with the Director.
Monitors departmental compliance with regulatory standards DOH and DNV accreditation standards.
Utilizes patient satisfaction data to improve care and service.
Collaborates with the ED Director in developing and implementing unit specific goals while adhering to hospital wide goals, ED objectives, values and mission.
Demonstrates positive leadership within the department/unit and the hospital.
Promotes teamwork and team building to promote and implement effective nursing standards and care.
Develops and revises nursing policies and procedures as needed.
Acts as a change agent to continuously improve nursing services to meet the needs of HealthAlliance Hospital patients.
Acts as a role model and clinical resource to all the nursing staff.
Works with the medical staff and other departments to solve ED problems and achieve goals.
Demonstrates teamwork philosophy through interaction with all HealthAlliance Hospital managers, employees.
Provides effective communication throughout the department.
Verbal and written communication is clear and well developed.
Ensures that lines of communication between staff, management, and physicians are open; relay appropriate information in a timely fashion.
Holds staff meetings with the ED Director to discuss departmental issues and relay information.
Participates in hospital committees as appropriate.
Assists and encourages staff to reach optimum potential.
Interviews and hires competent staff in collaboration with the Director.
Develops staffing plans to assure adequate, competent staff is scheduled to meet patient care needs.
Assigns personnel; delegates specific ED job duties and tasks.
Assures employee performance reviews are consistent with ED job expectation, employee communication and completed within an appropriate time period in collaboration with the Director.
Identifies and coordinates cost effective and timely education and training programs/conferences for the nursing staff which meet the goals of the hospital and/or department.
Maintains positive employee relations by identification and resolution of issues and effective conflict resolution skills.
Ensures completion of staff training and development programs on a timely basis, including unit based orientation and a competency program.
Promotes staff development by providing educational programs as needed.
In collaboration with the Director, performance improvement activities are developed for the unit and the department.
Identifies PI needs as appropriate; actively contributes to PI data collection and process.
Consistently models attitude of continuous improvement to others.
Documents unusual occurrences appropriately; tracks and analyzes all incidents.
Demonstrates knowledge of information management principles.
Adheres to all policies and practices regarding confidentiality of electronic communications, including but not limited to: e-mail, telephone, voice mail, fax and Internet usage.
Keeps current on updates to computer system where applicable.
Uses data and information to assist in decision making
In collaboration with the Director the unit budget is prepared operational and capital.
Continuously monitors the budget to meet financial goals.
Effectively uses resources as evidenced by inventory control and pursue more efficient staffing/scheduling, yet assuring appropriate quality care.
Performs any other duties as assigned.
Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN or actively enrolled in a BSN program preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 yrs. E.D. hospital nursing and experience as charge
Training/License:
Certification in clinical area preferred; Current NYS licensed Registered Nurse
BLS, ACLS and PALS Certifications required. TNCC , ENPC and CEN preferred
Other:
Has demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development, a standard of excellence as a nursing practitioner with leadership qualities. 2-4 yrs. experience in specialty area. Excellence in clinical competence in all aspects of assigned unit.
