The High Point University OIT Safety Services Server Administrator manages and supports the university's core IT infrastructure, including physical and virtual servers, storage systems, and data backups across campus and extension sites. As part of the Infrastructure Services team, the role aligns IT operations with OIT goals while being housed within Campus Police & Security and reporting secondarily to the Chief of Police. The position also requires maintaining a Drone Pilot certification to operate unmanned aircraft systems for campus monitoring, event support, and security-related photography and video, communicating relevant information to on-duty personnel.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Microsoft certification in Windows Server, Active Directory, or MS Exchange (MCTS, MCITP, MCSE, MCSA) is highly preferred.
VMware certification (VCP) is highly preferred.
Experience:
2-5 years of progressive experience with:
Data center management, including enterprise-level hardware, design, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Windows Server and Linux operating systems
Active Directory management
Server Virtualization
SAN Administration
VMware administration experience preferred.
Cisco UCS experience preferred.
Remote Pilot Certificate from the FAA (UAS Part 107 certification).

Security Services Management/Support
Manage Axis Camera A/V services
Camera moves, adds, changes, and deletes
Axis servers to ensure the application is up to date
Validate server security/anti-virus software is up to date
Ensure the Security force has full access to stored video
Manage CCure server services
Entry points move, add, change, and delete
Works with the Safety team to ensure services are correctly configured
Ensures the CCure application is up to date
Ensures the CCure server security/anti-virus is up to date
Drone Operations
Maintains automated and/or manual flight logs, records, and files using computer and flight management software.
Maintains situational awareness regarding law enforcement and other security issues, remain current on emerging topics, trends, and technologies as it relates to electronic surveillance, attend related seminars, lectures, and other training and development activities.
Ensures compliance with all FAA Regulations & Rules governing unmanned flight operations.
Responsible for utilization of pre-flight and post-flight checklist for all UAS operations.
Proactively assesses and monitors weather conditions and airspace you are operating in utilizing third-party UAS applications.
Other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the University Security/Police teams.
Data Center Management/Support
Configures and manages campus Data Center infrastructure to achieve target uptime and reliability of 99.9%.
Monitor, analyze, and shapes server loads and system resources.
Develop and maintains server and system documentation in accordance with defined OIT standards within three business days of any approved changes.
Monitors security threats and deploy appropriate security measures in accordance with the OIT change management process.
Configure and tests data backup and disaster recovery measures to ensure 100% data reliability and recoverability.
Performs regular (at least quarterly) restoration from backup.
Provides level 3 technical support for enterprise systems.
Consultancy
Works with OIT teams, project teams, and institutional leadership teams in problem analysis, solution identification, implementation, and delivery activities.
Works closely with OIT teams and campus customers to understand project requirements and recommend sustainable solutions that meet defined business and academic needs.
Serves as technical contact for cloud and external vendor technical analysis.
Provides leadership and guidance to Associate Server Administrators as directed by the Manager of Infrastructure Services.
Responds to assigned user support requests within one business day.
Diagnose and resolves at least 90% of assigned Help Desk tickets within three business days.
Achieves and maintains a 99.9% user satisfaction rating on follow-up surveys.
Information Processing & Decision Making
Prioritizes the allocation of time and resources in accordance with the defined priorities communicated by the Infrastructure Services Manager.
Actively looks to maximize existing university investments and leverage existing systems to solve identified business problems.
Works with OIT teams and customers to identify and understand the functional requirements of the network and the data center.
Actively looks to automate repetitive manual processes.
Identifies potential impacts of new systems/processes or changes to existing systems/processes and provide technical expertise to ensure operational reliability.
Coordinates with other OIT staff, functional users, and appropriate vendors to account for security (physical and logical), sustainability, disaster recovery, and business continuity measures in all solutions.
Communication
Interprets the meaning and importance of information. Determine appropriate needs and methods for keeping team members, customers/stakeholders, and management informed.
Utilizes plain language in all verbal and written communication.
Document systems and processes in accordance with defined standards within three business days of approved changes.

Relays pertinent information regarding all camera, BWC and drone operations to appropriate personnel with Police & Security.
As necessary, prepares oral and written briefings and provides testimony in court on the processing and examination of surveillance evidence.
Planning and Organizing
Develops data center design diagrams.
Collaborates with OIT Management and teams to establish realistic project timelines that deliver sustainable solutions within approved time and budget parameters.
Independently manages assigned tasks and project components.
Plan and accounts for physical and logical security/integrity in all projects.
Demonstrates attention to detail.
Problem Solving
Establishes working partnerships with OIT teams and external partners to coordinate problem resolution for operational issues and analyze root cause issues to address underlying data center problems.
Works with the OIT User Support Services team to identify common issues and develop appropriate documentation, training, and/or tip sheets for campus users.
Develops “As Is” and “To Be” diagrams to visually represent challenges, risks, and opportunities for data center improvements.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Vision sufficient to read a computer screen and the UAS telemetry screen as well as fine print in documents.
Hearing sufficiently to hear conversations and directions in-person, over the radio, by telephone as well as hearing other potential manned and unmanned aircraft in your flight area.
Dexterity and mobility are sufficient to work in the office and field locations.
Strength sufficient to lift and carry equipment at a medium strength level.

Summary
The Program and Events Coordinator is a conscientious, creative, enthusiastic, and organized events professional. Under general supervision, the Program and Event Coordinator assists with planning, logistics, and execution of external conferences, convenings, and professional development offerings for which the ECI and the Program for Leadership and Character have primary responsibility. Essential Functions:
Uses independent judgment to lead the planning and coordination of sponsored special events and programs from beginning to end (i.e. communication with participants and audiences, menu planning, site selection and reservation, compiling information for event materials, coordinating audio and visual needs, ensuring adequate staffing, security, and coordination of event set-up and break down with vendors).

Job Duties
* The primary objective is the mowing of the campus grounds and other related property that has to be maintained by our staff. * The operation and maintenance of the equipment is essential to our success as a department. Summary
This position is responsible for analyzing, configuring, maintaining, and training for systems and applications (Adaptive Planning and Workday Finance) within the Finance Division. Position partners with supported units to analyze business and user needs, document requirements, design and implement application features, develop reporting, define best practice business processes and maintain strong security controls. Essential Functions:
Configures and administers Adaptive Planning and Workday Finance to meet campus stakeholder requirements. Maintains all Adaptive Planning configurations, including planning models and dimensions. Analyzes and documents business processes and needs, understands the scope of modifications, creates effective design specifications, and participates in the development and testing/evaluation of system design, integration and reporting efforts.
Provides project management expertise for supported units for system implementations and business process enhancements. Develops detailed plans, ensures targets are being met and communicates with customers on a routine basis. Maintains a continuous Adaptive Planning / Workday-related improvement roadmap that is scheduled and executed.
Manages the integrations between Adaptive Planning and Workday (as well as other external systems) to ensure that data is flowing efficiently and correctly between the systems. Performs data clean-up activities when data becomes out of sync.
Evaluates system impact as a result of available upgrades, including patches/fixes, and business change requests. Leads discussions with users to assist them with understanding impacts and how to appropriately perform user acceptance testing for upgrades. Performs testing in collaboration with users, Information Systems, and third parties for supported application upgrades and any business process enhancements.
Leads the investigation and resolution of application issues encountered by users. Logs support incidents to software vendor and coordinates timely problem resolution with user and/or Information Systems staff as needed. Acts as a Workday Named Support Contact.
Develops user documentation and trains users on supported applications for both the initial rollout and new features and enhancements implemented during upgrades. Provides advanced end user system support and troubleshooting.
Develops, maintains and reviews application security access for departmental and campus users to ensure internal controls are maintained systematically and data is protected from unauthorized access. Accountable for executing and getting approval for Adaptive Planning security reviews on a rolling basis (e.g. weekly, quarterly and annual reviews). Participates in Audit Services reviews.
Participates in all appropriate governance groups, including the Workday Finance Workstream. Meets regularly with the Controller's Office, Human Resources (particularly HRIS) and Information Systems to ensure that a strong relationship exists with these important partners.

Bachelor's degree preferably in a business, accounting or computer science-related major and at least ten years of experience implementing and/or maintaining ERP systems and related applications or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
