Job Description
As Head of Strategy, Coach Networking you will be responsible for the following duties:
Oversee the strategic direction of the blex Coach networking program that manages ongoing interactions with the coaches to keep them engaged, inspired and appreciated
Brainstorm, plan, and execute all programming initiatives, including but not limited to developing events, meet-ups, marketing and social media related to the program
Work closely with Blex Technologies Advisory Board members to gain their feedback and perspectives on the proposed programming
Work with external vendors and agencies (e.g. meeting coordinators, freelance writers) to create programmatic content
Set and meet or exceed desired KPIs and metrics to help determine ROI and success on programming efforts
Serve as primary liaison for coaches to facilitate collaboration and ongoing support
Attend bi-weekly team calls, on an as-needed basis
$150 monthly stipend
Qualifications

Coaches must work closely with their student athletes in areas of sportsmanship, teamwork, and leadership ensuring that their athletes are disciplined, balanced, caring, risk-takers. Coaches must also know about sports equipment, physical fitness, and safety.
Stipend: The coaches stipend will vary depending on position and number of days per week of activity. Stipends for Head Coaches will range from $1,950 per season to $3,750 per season. Stipends will be paid in one lump sum 30 days after the conclusion of the season. Non-DCI employees will be paid their stipend as contract employees and taxes will not be withheld. DCI staff members will receive their stipends with taxes taken out.

Building Bridges Across the River (Building Bridges) provides residents east of the Anacostia River in Washington D.C. access to the best-in-class facilities, programs, and partnerships in arts and culture, economic opportunity, education, recreation, health and well-being. Founded in 1997, Building Bridges operates and leads collaboration at the Town Hall Education Arts Recreation Campus (THEARC), a hub for community organizations serving residents of Ward 8.
About Late Night League:In response to overwhelming feedback from a 2023 town hall meeting attended by over 100 Ward 8 residents, Building Bridges launched Late Night League at THEARC in early 2024 as a violence interruption strategy. The need for safe, positive, and engaging late-night activities for youth was clear. Late Night League was launched to promote wellness and provide a space for safe recreation within Washington, D.C.s Ward 8 community. Building Bridges hosts two eight-week seasons per year with 8-12 teams. The youth division engages ages 14-17 and the young adult division engages 18-24.
Coach Role and Responsibilities
This Coach Across America AmeriCorps coach will support Building Bridges Late Night League with an emphasis on growing girls participation in basketball. The coach will also support related programs outside of Late Night League including collaboration with on-site partners at THEARC such as the Washington School for Girls (WSG) and their basketball team. WSG engages girls from 3rd -8th grade.
Responsibilities will include:
Creating strategies and materials to promote and engage local girls in basketball
Engagement and recruitment at local schools and recreation centers
Facilitating basketball clinics and workshops (schedule to be determined in coordination with coach)
Supporting Late Night League games with attendance, registration, and day-of program support
Growing girls sports participation at THEARC with a goal of coaching a girls team in Late Night League
Collaborating with THEARC partners such as Washington School for Girls and the Boys & Girls Club
Developing and administering surveys and other methods of evaluation to gauge participant experience
Additionally, the Coach will:
Encourage participants to gain and develop life skills, knowledge, and techniques through sport, using lessons learned at Coach Across Americas best-in-class training events
Perform data collection activities as directed by the Coach Across America Program Lead
Act as a role model, gaining the respect and trust of the community and youth served

Our athletics department is seeking an enthusiastic, energetic and experienced eSports coach to supervise all aspects of our school eSports program, including instruction, coaching, and managing teams. Our games currently offered are (but not limited to) Rocket League, League of Legends, Super Smash Brothers, Madden and 2K.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Organize and coordinate team schedules for the eSports season
• Conduct player tryouts at the beginning of the season
• Plan and facilitate multiple practices per week
• Make sure all players fulfill the eligibility requirements of the District of Columbia State Athletic Association
• Provide in-game strategies
• Video editing for practice and match performance review
Qualifications:
• Prior coaching experience
• Extensive knowledge of eSports, including but not limited general strategies, team building, skill building, and competition strategies
• Extensive experience and credentials in the aforementioned eSports games
• Knowledge of highschool level eSports rules and regulations

Plan and conduct practice sessions that develop skills and foster team spirit.
Provide individual coaching and mentoring for student-athletes to maximize their performance.
Prepare the team for competitions, ensuring they are competitive and well-prepared.
Encourage sportsmanship, team unity, and adhere to all league and school rules and regulations.
Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and school administration.
Play an active role in the recruitment and selection of students for the team.
Help manage the logistics for meets and events, including transportation and equipment.
Support athletes in their academic endeavors and encourage balance between academics and athletics.
Attend required coaches' meetings and clinics to stay updated on best practices in coaching.
Promote a positive and inclusive team culture that values diversity and individual growth.
Requirements
Qualifications
Experience coaching track and field at the highschool or collegiate level is preferred.
Strong understanding of track and field techniques and training methodologies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to motivate and inspire athletes to achieve their personal best.
Willingness to work cooperatively within a team environment.
