You'll be a core technical hire designing and building multi-agent AI systems, secure backends, long-context planning engines, and the orchestration logic that enables agents to interact safely with enterprise systems. You'll work closely with the founders to shape product direction, prototype rapidly, and define the agentic and AI infrastructure at the heart of the platform.
This is a hands-on, high-ownership role at the frontier of AI-native security.
Here's what you'll be doing:
Build multi-agent systems using secure agent-to-agent communication protocols
Integrate standards like MCP to give agents safe access to tools, APIs, and structured memory
Develop backend infrastructure for agent orchestration, state management, and autonomous workflows
Build and fine-tune LLM-powered systems for identity defense, anomaly detection, and security automation
Create RAG pipelines, vector search, and context-aware reasoning engines
Develop secure APIs and microservices enabling agents to operate across enterprise environments
Prototype quickly, work directly with founders and early customers, and ship iteratively
And what you need to have:
5+ years in software/backend engineering, including 2+ years in AI/ML or agentic systems
Strong Python engineering skills (FastAPI, Flask, gRPC)
Experience with agentic AI frameworks (LangChain, AutoGen, LangGraph, etc.)
Familiarity with A2A protocols and agent collaboration patterns
Experience building LLMs, RAG systems, embeddings, and vector search
Cloud-native experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or serverless
Ability to operate independently and own end-to-end outcomes

Primary Functions
Lead design and development of back-end services in C#, Docker, Kubernetes, and SQL Server and front-end applications in React, Next.js and Node.js.

Mentor Senior Software Engineers and more junior members on the team in best practices and technologies fostering their growth and development.

Knowledge & Skills
Bachelor's degree in computer science (preferred) or related field.
8+ years of relevant work experience, demonstrating a deep understanding of software engineering principles and practices.
Proficiency in front-end technologies including React, Next.js and Node.js.
Proficiency in API design and development and with cloud engineering, Azure services preferred.
Proven track record in building distributed microservices at scale, coupled with expertise in relational databases, preferably SQL Server.
Experience mentoring and coaching junior engineers.
Strong understanding of software development best practices (e.g., version control, testing, continuous integration/continuous delivery).
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Self-starter with a bias for action, a passion for innovation and continuous learning.
Experience in the travel industry preferred.

Requirements:
Be able to manage time effectively, complete required tasks on time
Strong understand of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook) required
Need to be a team player - if you like to work on an island by yourself, this won't be a good fit for you!
Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary
Must be effective at listening to, understanding, clarifying and resolving the concerns and issues raised by coworkers and guests
Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions
Education & Experience:
At least 2 years of experience in a hotel environment at the Engineer level required
HVAC certified, Pool certified, Technician certified and/or combination preferred
Stable work history required
Responsibilities
Ensure guest and employee safety through proper maintenance of building systems and facilities
Respond promptly to maintenance requests related to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural issues
Develop and manage a preventive maintenance program for all building systems and guest rooms
Perform basic carpentry, painting, renovation, and furniture adjustments as needed
Monitor and implement energy conservation measures, tracking usage via meter readings
Oversee maintenance of all fire safety equipment and ensure compliance
Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized workspace
Supervise and assign tasks to maintenance technicians, managing work orders and keeping accurate records
Maintain pool equipment and grounds, including cleaning, chemical balance, and logs
Conduct daily facility inspections to identify and address potential issues in public areas and meeting spaces
Maintain inventory of all keys and equipment
Coordinate with General Manager for projects requiring outside vendors or contractors
Support other departments and perform additional duties as requested
