Highlands Residential Mortgage CEO and leadership

Ken Hickman serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Highlands Residential Mortgage, LTD. Mr. Hickman identified and negotiated the purchase of Mortex Lending, LTD., a privately owned mortgage finance company, in March 2010. Mortex Lending, LTD was renamed Highlands Residential Mortgage, LTD during September 2010. Under Mr. Hickman’s leadership, the company has grown from a small brokerage operation to a full service mortgage banker with 12 production offices and over 180 employees (in six months). Prior to serving as the Company's Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Hickman’s career included CFO of AccuBanc Mortgage Corporation from 1983 until it was sold in early 2000, CFO of AmPro Mortgage Corporation from 2002 until it was sold in 2006 and he managed a mortgage banking consulting firm Mortgage Support Group from 2006 until 2009. Mr. Hickman earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Stephen F. Austin in 1979 and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Mr. Hickman serves as the Chairman of the THEMBA Foundation, a foundation he established after traveling to South Africa in 2006 and witnessing first hand the HIV/AIDS crisis in Sub-Saharan Africa. The foundation has already provided over $250,000.00 in financial assistance to those impacted by HIV/AIDS.

Patty Campbell is an EVP Chief Compliance Officer/QC at Highlands Residential Mortgage Ltd. and is based in 12001 N Central Expy, Dallas, Texas. She has worked as Sr. Manager, Compliance and Quality Control Departments at North American Mortgage Company an NTFN Company NMLS #75333; Operations Manager/Sr. Underwriter at SunTrust Mortgage Inc; and Vice President - National Underwriting Manager at ALLIED MORTGAGE GROUP INC. Patty studied at Berkeley College between 2017 and 2020 and Phillips School of Business between 1991 and 1993.
