The Executive Assistant is a permanent full-time exempt position reporting to the Vice President for Student Services. The Executive Assistant provides a full range of administrative support for the Vice President for Student Services and the Student Services Division. This position requires teamwork, initiative, friendliness, use of good judgment, the ability to work independently, discreet handling of confidential information, and problem resolution skills.
This position is a salaried overtime eligible, at-will, full-time position.
Essential Tasks
Reporting to the Vice President of Student Services, this position will:
Provide direct confidential, administrative and strategic support to the Vice President for Student Services;
Schedule meetings and maintain the calendar for the Vice President;
As delegated, act on behalf of the Vice President in their absence;
Serve as a resource, liaison and facilitator for Student Services staff, faculty and students and assist with policies, problem solving, information, procedures, complaints, security and safety issues;
Maintain correspondence, reports, meeting minutes, policies, procedures and marketing materials for the Student Services Division;
Coordinate travel, lodging and conference registrations for the Vice President and other Student Services administrators;
Coordinate with facilities for building-related issues;
Coordinate division budget development;
Track and maintain up-to-date reports on all student services budgets;
Monitor, sign or obtain Vice President signature, and process materials and services requests and requests for payments;
Serve on various campus committees (e.g. Commencement Committee, Budget Advisory Committee);
Attend training sessions and conferences in consultation with and at the direction of the VP;
Post notifications from Student Services departments to SCALA media screens as requested;
Maintain and update Student Services webpages;
Manage expenses via p-card purchases, reconciliation, travel authorizations, and expense reports.
Ability to:
Proficiently use Microsoft Office, Google G Suite and PeopleSoft or basic CRM;
Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing;
Accurately manage and track budgets;
Work collaboratively with the Student Services Leadership team to problem-solve and mediate conflict and complaints;
Serve and interact with diverse populations;
Certify documentation for related student service programs (ex. Running Start, Conduct, Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC), etc.).
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Associates Degree; And
Four years of experience providing direct administrative support to an executive or senior leader;
OR
Equivalent education and/or experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in higher education or a community college setting;
Ability to speak languages other than English.

Maintenance Manager

Reporting directly to the Director of Facilities the Maintenance Manager will oversee the daily operations of Highline's buildings, machinery, team and safety. This position will provide leadership and operational direction to Facilities staff through training, performance management, assigning work/priorities, and project oversight. The Maintenance Manager serves as a leader within the Facilities Department, calculating costs, planning special projects, and executing plans safely and efficiently. The position requires a sound understanding of engineering principles to ensure safety and compliance in Highline's 600,000 square feet of building space and systems infrastructure.
This position is an exempt, at-will, full-time position.
Essential Tasks
Reporting to the Director of Facilities and Operations, this position will:
Supervision and Program Oversight (35%)
* Plan and organize the department's daily work and special campus projects:
* Determine the work methods to be employed;
* Assist in determining priorities and deadlines with Facilities Director and Facility Manager;
* Coordinate with customers, management, vendors, project contractor and mechanics;
* Meet with vendors, contractors for projects and/or inspections;
* During the planning process for capital and smaller-scale projects, make recommendation for the campus standards, material, labor, and time required for the project;
* Collaborate in organizational decision making;
* Provide onsite management of small-scale projects with multiple vendors from beginning to end;
* Keep mandatory inspections up to date and ensure that maintenance activities are in compliance with Local, State and Federal requirements;
* Maintain a friendly working relationship with customers, coworkers, outside contractors and management;
* Develop, maintain and implement Megamations (CMMS) to be able to be used:
* Constant creation of asset database;
* Administration of entire PM Program;
* Scheduling, issuing and ensuring mechanics follow through on work orders/pm;
* Develop/implement a complete safety program in accordance with current Codes:
* Conduct safety training/meetings, with documentation and reports;
* Conduct safety inspections and insure compliance;
* Maintain and administer College's ACM/Hazardous Materials database and records;
* Assist in the development of the departmental budget;
* Use professional discretion and independent judgement to develop standards, order materials and maintain as adequate inventory of required materials;
* Supervise preventative maintenance on buildings, facilities and equipment;
* Maintain records on work orders performed, as well as items purchased; write reports as required:
* Develop and implement a workflow management strategy:
* Conduct area walkthroughs;
* Provide on the spot feedback to team and identify any further work as necessary;
* Inspect buildings to determine maintenance needs and job assignment;
* Identify, report and take corrective action to resolve maintenance problems; report and act upon building security, maintenance and potential safety hazards;
* Provide leadership and direction to Maintenance staff:
* Identify areas for continued professional education and recommend education needed to keep up with changing technology;
* Provide on the job training to Maintenance staff or other Facilities workers;
* Lead or direct journey level trades workers engaged in repair and maintenance activities.
Building and Equipment Maintenance (65%)
* Inspect and initiate corrective action on a variety of mechanical, electrical and air-conditioning equipment; determine need to call in and coordinate other mechanics as necessary to resolve emergency conditions;
* Develop and conduct a preventative maintenance (PM) program for assigned machinery and equipment;
* Perform emergency maintenance, operation and repair of electrical, mechanical and structural systems of buildings and utility systems;
* Respond to and establish alternate operating modes for malfunctions of utility systems and personnel service systems, e.g., elevators, escalators, food service equipment;
* Coordinate as a primary response team member with Campus Safety during off-hour emergencies, e.g., during fires, campus closures, snow removal and disruptions of primary utility systems;
* Coordinate with campus operations personnel and initiate operating procedures to maintain building environmental systems and achieve optimal levels of energy consumption including initiating changes in campus operation through computerized Central Supervisory Control System;
* Operate energy management systems (DDC Controls); setting set points and run schedules for lights/HVAC equipment;
* Develop and participate in equipment identification program;
* Adhere to and enforce safety rules, regulations and precautions;
* Order supplies/materials to maintain an adequate inventory of required stock to carry on Shop or maintenance work;
* Respond to general maintenance clean-ups, requests and miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Position Summary
The main campus of Tacoma Community College is located on 150 acres upon which are located over 30 buildings with a total area exceeding 479,000 square feet. Located in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, just south of Seattle, uniquely nestled between the Olympic mountain range and Mount Rainier. This college occupies one 13,000 square foot satellite campus building in scenic Gig Harbor. Performs general duty security work including the enforcement of laws and ordinances, maintain order, prevent and investigate crime and protect the health and safety of the campus community. Essential Functions
* Provide exceptional customer service skills in all interactions with students, staff, faculty, and visitors of the college.
* Patrol campus buildings, grounds, and parking lots on foot, by bicycle, or by vehicle to identify unauthorized use of buildings, equipment, or facilities and/or criminal activity, atypical activities, or other irregularities.Take appropriate action to correct on-campus situations that could reasonably be considered detrimental or harmful to persons or property.
* Investigate complaints of disturbance, accidents, infractions, and criminal activity occurring on campus and undertake appropriate action or response.

Qualifications
Preferred Duties of the position require knowledge, skills and abilities:

Terms of Employment
These part-time hourly positions are bound by the WAC 357-04-045 provisions above. This position is scheduled to work varied hours up to 17 hours per week. Overview

This individual works directly with students and in close collaboration with our Imaging Sciences Team. About the Department
Bellevue College Grounds Crew maintains landscapes and hardscapes. The Grounds Crew supports the College's mission and goals by carrying an awareness throughout their work with regards to safety, accessibility, inclusivity and sustainability. The Grounds Crew is a large contributor to ensuring the College campus is free of litter and debris, is accessible to pedestrian and vehicular traffic, and ensuring public gathering spaces are well kept and available to the College community. In addition to maintaining an exceptional campus aesthetic the Grounds Crew is also responsible for renovating landscapes to better compliment the native environment and make them more sustainable in maintenance and future development. By collaborating with various groups on campus the Grounds Crew strives to involve multiple perspectives of those on campus and allow for group and interactive projects related to campus grounds; thus, incorporating all the knowledge and experience within the college community to ensure work being done is both transparent and in alignment with the College's goals.
Essential Functions

* Repairing damages to sprinklers/pipes/valves/, winterizing irrigation systems on campus upgrading/installing/or modifying irrigation systems to be appropriate for the plant areas being watered.
* Pressure washing hard surfaces at ground level and/or on buildings faces/structures, pressure washing moss/mold off of walking surfaces, removing/cleaning vandalism to College property, keeping drains clear.
* Assisting with College sponsored events, participation in department events (Hayride, wreath making event and other events), assisting in traffic control for planned and unplanned events, and various tasks as needed to aid in normal campus operations.
Minimum Qualifications
* Valid Washington State driver's license for two years or more OR two year experience driving in other state and can obtain WA State Driver's license within the next 30 days from the date of hire.

Provide logistical support for the catalog process, including collaborating with other divisions of the college to verify and update relevant information in the catalog.

The Arts & Humanities division is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time tenure track faculty member for Fall 2025 in the Interior Design department. The Interior Design faculty will perform duties and functions under the general direction of the Provost and shall be responsible primarily to the Dean of Arts & Humanities.
The successful candidate should be prepared to teach students in contemporary studio practices, processes, and body of knowledge, and have experience teaching or directing others in professional practices, methodologies, skills, and content related to a variety of interior project types. The instructor will maintain current expertise in at least one area of interior design practice, and create an active learning, project-based curriculum for students in their assigned courses. Instruction will include industry standard technology and tools, interior building codes and systems, visual communication methods, design programming, project management, and various methods of design inquiry. Expertise in non-studio topic areas is desirable, including history, theory, contract and technical content, or digital design tools. Leadership and expertise in design sustainability is highly desirable. Candidates with NCIDQ, LEED, and other industry-specific credentials are strongly encouraged to apply.

Position Salary Range: $81,757.08/year - $114,664.94/year
Annual salary is based on a 176-day contract with a minimum of $81,757.08; beginning salary will be determined by the assessment of the candidate's education and related experience. New hires start no higher than $87,663.74 unless exceptional circumstances prevail. Certain positions may also be eligible for assignment/project-based additional compensation, including a High Demand Stipend up to $8,350 annually, prorated based on the discipline and duration of the assignment. All additional compensations are subject to change depending on funding and negotiated agreement.

About the Department
Bellevue College has one of the largest interior design programs in the state of Washington. The CIDA-accredited program provides students with a broad foundation in fine arts and design, skill-based practice, and critical thinking experiences. The curriculum offers rigorous and varied methods of design investigation, including exposure to a variety of interior project types and relevant design problems.
Our program currently enrolls over 300 full- and part-time students, historically graduating an average of 30 to 50 students per year. The program attracts students with diverse cultural and academic backgrounds, with half of our students employed while they are enrolled, and many returning students who are preparing for or reacting to career or life changes. Currently, we have 5 full-time faculty members and many talented adjunct instructors, all with diverse academic backgrounds and practice-based experience, and a dedication to student success.
Essential Functions
Teaching duties include:
* Conduct equitable teaching and promote learning excellence in the Interior Design department via grounded or hybrid course delivery.
* Foster a positive and caring learning community where diversity and pluralism are advanced.
* Promote creative and critical thinking through a variety of applied and project-based learning methods.
* Provide verbal and written assessment of student learning outcomes.
* Establish and maintain weekly office hours (5 hours/week) to assist students with academic advising, coursework, and classroom-related questions.
* Review and update assigned courses to ensure currency of information, appropriate pedagogy, and implementation of student learning outcomes that achieve CIDA accreditation standards.
* Maintain knowledge and skills in teaching, in the interior design discipline, and in cultural versatility.
* Participate in all College-required faculty training.
* Support the college's Pluralism and Diversity initiative and Student Success initiative by integrating related concepts into class activities and departmental programs.
* Provide culturally responsible departmental and degree pathway advising to prospective and currently enrolled program students on degree completion planning, transfer credit evaluation, and career preparation, including navigating obstacles that underrepresented, and historically marginalized student populations may experience in college (e.g. students with disabilities, students of color, first generation college students, LBGTQia students, Veterans, 2nd language learners, etc.).
Non-teaching duties include:
* Participate in program-level curriculum development and revision that is appropriate for a culturally diverse population.
* Contribute to college and departmental governance and activities (e.g. project leadership, program chair roles, college-wide effort to dismantle barriers that can impact underrepresented and historically marginalized student populations, etc.).
* Assist in the development, distribution, and collection of student learning outcome assessments.

* Build positive and professional relationships with students, colleagues, college administration, and the community.

Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) in interior design, architecture, interior architecture, environmental design, or industrial design.
* Professional experience in interior design, architecture, interior architecture, environmental design, or industrial design.
* Experience using industry-standard digital design media and emerging communication tools for virtual collaboration and online instruction.
* Experience in integrating diversity, pluralism, and inclusion into teaching and learning, or equivalent transferable skills to do so.
* Familiarity with Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA) standards, National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) certification, and their relevance to interior design education and practice.

Essential Functions
Grounds Maintenance and Operations Management
* Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive grounds maintenance program, ensuring campus landscapes, hardscapes, roads, parking lots, sidewalks, pathways, walkways, courtyards, stormwater and drainage systems, and outdoor spaces are well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing.
* Manage and support grounds staff, including assigning work, setting schedules, and ensuring completion of daily, monthly, and seasonal maintenance tasks.
* Oversee routine landscape maintenance, including mowing, trimming, pruning, weeding, soil amendments, planting, mulching, and irrigation system operation and repairs.

* Manage inventory, procurement, and maintenance of grounds equipment and materials, ensuring operational readiness and efficiency.

* Familiarity with sustainability practices, water conservation, and integrated pest management.

The Maintenance Mechanic 4 (MM4) is the mid-senior experienced specialist or lead worker level of the series. Positions at this level perform skilled work in more than one trade or craft. Incumbents typically specialize in one trade or craft but perform journey-level and semi-skilled work in a variety of disciplines. Incumbents perform construction, maintenance, repair and modification of buildings, facilities, mechanical equipment, machinery and specific apparatus and utilize a working knowledge of several related skill fields such as plumbing, electrical, welding, carpentry, and machinist work. Additionally this position requires knowledge and ability to work/manage the organizations Direct Digital (DDC) systems and pneumatic controls.
This position is a classified full-time position, which is eligible for overtime.

Salary Information:
The above salary range reflects the starting step of Range 53 (Step G) and ending step (Step M) salary for this classified position and includes a 5% King County compensation provision. Essential Tasks
Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, this position will:
Repair and remodel buildings, frames walls, repair roofs, hangs/tape GWB, finishes and paints interior sheet rock walls, installs counter tops, hangs doors, paints interior and exterior and other carpentry related tasks;
Install and maintain plumbing, electrical and mechanical fixture, installs, maintains and repairs pipes, valves, drains, basins, faucets, lavatories, air conditioning, laundry equipment, kitchen equipment, gates and hydrants;
Perform preventative maintenance and repair on all types of mechanical equipment such as laundry, kitchen, hospital, laboratory and air-conditioning equipment, clean or change filters, change oil, grease, adjust drive belts, inspect sprockets, shafts and bearings to ensure proper operations;
Trouble shoot and repair locks, door and access control hardware;
Install power plant equipment, operate shop machines/vehicles, and repair campus mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems;
Perform preventative maintenance and repair of ballasts, motors, compressors, pumps, fire systems, lighting, plant equipment and other campus infrastructure;
May operate equipment in snow and ice conditions, including participating in snow removal activities;
Perform the work of a Maintenance Mechanic 2 (MM2) and is assigned responsibility to lead the work of others, coordinate & schedule repairs with outside contractors;
Develop or obtain cost estimates of repairs, maintenance or alteration projects, and order parts;
Conduct checks and documents findings on multiple types of systems;
Assure adherence to safety rules and precautions by assigned personnel;
Develop solutions to repair and maintenance problems;
Develop methods and procedures to be followed by assigned personnel;
Read and interprets plans, blueprints and sketches as well as updating “As-Built“ drawings or other documentation;
Position may lead, supervise or instruct mechanics or provide direction to contractors;
Perform work on computers (work orders, Excel, Word and computerized HVAC Direct Digital Controls (DDC) front end);
Inspections and follow-up on MM2 employees work;
Scheduling and work resourcing (human and materials for project work);
Develops methods and procedures;
Provides on site management of small projects;
Making recommendations to departmental SOP;
Assists manager with priorities and deadlines;
Key individual for responding to emergencies for maintenance and campus need;
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Completion of a recognized apprenticeship in a skilled mechanic trade; AND
Two years of experience as a journey-level worker in electrical, mechanical, plumbing and carpentry; AND
Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license is required.
Desirable Qualifications:
Forklift Certification;
Boiler Certification;
Mechanical, electrical or refrigeration Certification.
Working Conditions:
Work inside and outside in all weather;
