The TRIO Talent Search (TS) Advisor/Recruiter is responsible for recruiting eligible students to TRIO TS and providing academic, personal, financial, and career counseling to accepted TRIO participants (low-income, first-generation middle school students, high school students, and adult learners) that supports completion of a secondary school diploma, enrollment in postsecondary education, and completion of a postsecondary credential.This is a full-time, 12-month exempt position funded by a 5-year U.S. Department of Education TRIO Talent Search grant. The continuance of this position is contingent upon continued grant funding.
The majority of the TRIO TS Advisor/Recruiter's time is spent working independently at their assigned target schools: Pacific Middle School and Mount Rainier High School (Highline School District). On occasion, the TRIO TS Advisor may be asked to support participants at other TRIO TS target schools: Showalter Middle School and Foster High School (Tukwila School District) and Why Not You Academy. This position reports to the Director of TRIO Programs. Some evening, overnight, and weekend responsibilities are required.
Essential Tasks
Position Responsibilities
Recruitment
* Works closely with the Director of TRIO Programs and TRIO TS Program Manager/Advisor to develop a comprehensive recruitment plan to ensure the project serves 500 eligible participants annually;
* Facilitates recruitment activities (e.g., classroom presentations, info sessions, family nights, tabling, email campaigns, newsletters) to eligible participants, families, school staff, and community members outlining program eligibility requirements, goals, and services;
* Collaborates with target school and Highline College administrators, teachers, counselors, and partners to identify eligible participants;
* Receives confidential program application materials and updates participant files.
Academic Counseling & Participant Support
* Manages a minimum caseload of 275 students and completes individual needs assessments to develop customized individual Student Success Plans (SSPs) used to assess and monitor participant progress towards graduation;
* Executes comprehensive programming to promote secondary school persistence and graduation; postsecondary education enrollment or re-enrollment; and postsecondary degree attainment (e.g., academic success workshops, college exploration activities, cultural events);
* Provides academic counseling services to participants through structured individual and group meetings both in and out of the classroom to enhance development and learning;
* Utilizes a student-centered approach and advises participants for academic success, grade promotion, and college readiness;
* Reviews and interprets grades, transcripts, test scores, and other participant records to inform service delivery;
* Meets with participants and families to discuss academic and non-academic opportunities, challenges, and milestones as they relate to participant progress, involvement, and program satisfaction;
* Assists students and families with completing the necessary steps for college readiness and enrollment (e.g., college entrance exam preparation, college applications and admissions essays, financial aid applications);
* Maintains and regularly updates detailed records of all aspects of participants' progress including academic, social, and personal that would aid or impede participants' overall success;
* Conducts appropriate referrals for participants as necessary.
Collaboration & Coordination of Services
* Works directly with the Director of TRIO Programs and TRIO TS Program Manager/Advisor to ensure the goals and objectives of the TRIO TS project are met;
* Collaborates with school sites, Highline College departments, and community partners for effective and collaborative delivery of project services;
* Participates in target school meetings to review timelines, discuss objectives and services, refine implementation plans, and address challenges.
Assessment & Continuous Improvement
* Assists the Director of TRIO Programs with completing the TRIO TS Annual Performance Report;
* Assists with all aspects of program review and participant retention such as assessments, surveys, focus groups, orientations, workshops, interventions, and program evaluation;
* Participates in professional development activities appropriate to the functions of the position including meetings, trainings, and conferences sponsored by target schools; state, regional, and national TRIO organizations; Highline College; and the Department of Education;
* Supports the mission, vision, and values of Highline College, Highline School District, Tukwila School District, Why Not You Academy, and Federal TRIO Programs;
* Performs other duties as assigned for the success of program participants consistent with the role and required functions of the position, especially as required by the TRIO TS grant.
Skills & Abilities
* Ability to work independently with limited oversight;
* Adept to using software applications including Microsoft Office, student management systems, and case management systems.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution in education, administration, counseling or a related field; AND
* 1-2 years of experience counseling/advising youth.
Preferred Qualifications
* Work experience with Federal TRIO Programs or programs funded by the U.S. Department of Education;
* Work experience with college access programming;
* Work experience in a college setting;
* Work experience with individuals who are low-income and/or first-generation;
* Multilingual;
* Knowledge of college and university admissions and enrollment procedures;
* Knowledge of federal and state financial aid procedures;
* Personally overcome obstacles similar to those experienced by TRIO TS program participants.

Priority consideration for applications received by December 7, 2025 The Program Specialist 2 is the primary staff responsible for ensuring the promotion, availability and networking of career and transfer related resources and information for students, faculty and staff. Career and Transfer services are integrated within the Advising Center, providing support to all phases of Highline's advising model (Entry Advising, Pathway Advising and Faculty Advising). The Program Specialist 2 works in close coordination with various campus stakeholders. The Program Specialist 2 is expected to participate fully as a member of the work unit, supporting other functional areas to facilitate the coordination and distribution of career and transfer services to Highline College students.
This position is a classified full-time position, which is eligible for overtime.
Schedule: Mon-Fri 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and occasional evening hours.

Salary Information:
The salary range stated above reflects the starting step of Range 42 (Step A) and ending step (Step M) salary for this classified position and includes a 5% King County compensation provision. Based on salary placement of Step A, it will take 5.5 years to reach Step L on the salary schedule, 11.5 years to reach step M on the salary schedule. Essential Tasks
Reporting to the Program Manager of Career and Transfer Services, this position will:
Direct Student Support (50%)
* Respond to inquiries via email, phone, zoom, in-person and through career platforms;
* Introduce students to resources available throughout the college;
* Works collaboratively with other staff to assist students in academic pathways;
* Develops, facilitates, and delivers workshop content on various topics related to career and transfer;
* Aid students on obtaining career research and internships opportunities;
* Aid students on university transfer exploration;
* Deliver resume, cover letter, and mock interview services;
* Deliver personal statement and transfer application services;
* Navigate students through job search;
* Provide support services as it relates to career and university transfer;
* Develops a working knowledge of campus resources to triage and assist students;
* Serve as point of contact for students regarding career and transfer information and services.
Coordination, programming and event planning (35%)
* Work collaboratively to create brochures, orientation materials, forms, and documents for distribution and/or presentation;
* Supports coordination of activities/events on career development and student employee resources;
* Supports plans events and trainings;
* Collaborate with college partners to develop and present career and transfer sessions;
* Independently research and stay updated on employment trends;
* Develop and maintain official communication to constituents on and off campus;
* Be an active member or representative of appropriate state councils;
* Provide specialized workshops and trainings related to resume writing, interview skills and other topics as assigned;
* Help students learn how to conduct online career searches and job searches;
* Maintain and respond to inquiries and issues through Highline's career support platform, Handshake;
* Maintain tracking log of delivery of workshops and services and providing a monthly outcome report;
* Develop and deliver career related event surveys to track outcomes.
Administration (10%):
* Support the Program Manager with administrative tasks as needed;
* Provide routine administrative tasks, such as but not limited to answering Career and Transfer Services phone line and email;
* Function as the office front-line contact;
* Support Program Manager with office website maintenance as assigned;
* Help create and maintain career and transfer resources and preparedness tools;
* Direct and supervise student workers as needed;
* Support the functions of the Advising Center on an as needed basis;
* Other related duties as assigned.
Faculty and staff support (5%)
* Works collaboratively with other departments to facilitate and address student and program needs;
* Coordinate with faculty and staff on campus to keep transfer information and resources up to date.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
* Effectively communicate orally and in written form;

As a Customer Service Assistant, you are an integral part of how smoothly TCC's Campus Safety operates. You're most important responsible is receiving and prioritizing emergency and non-emergency requests and for dispatching Campus Safety Officers. We serve international ESL college students with a wide variety of personal, vocational, and academic goals. Position Summary:
This position provides expert-level supervision, consultation, design, development, lifecycle management, maintenance, and problem-solving activities related to computing endpoints, classroom technology, and the help desk at Tacoma Community College. This position is the campus IT Accessibility coordinator and will develop and lead compliance, training, and verification processes. This position manages and supports a variety of enterprise systems across TCC. * Develop project plans, schedules, reports, and manage activities. Provide multiple alternatives and scenarios to be considered in decision-making.
* As the campus IT Accessibility Coordinator this position will be the leader responsible for reviewing all VPAT and HECVAT documents to ensure software and services are accessible.
* This position leads and serves on IT and other Accessibility committees. It will ensure compliance at the federal, state, and local level and develop/implement related activities at an expert level.
* Provide training and/or training materials and knowledge transfer to customers and team members.
* Hire, direct, supervise, and evaluate staff who provide support for instructional and administrative technology services. Participate in the hiring process for appropriate staff, including identification of need and related qualifications.
* Leads planning, design, and implementation for new technology initiatives and projects. Collaborate with campus employees, departments, and divisions to identify and support technology needs.

Position Summary
The BEdA department includes a range of programs including Adult High School Completion options: High School Plus (HS+) & GED, Basic Skills, English Language Acquisition (ELA) and I-BEST (Integrated Basic Education and Skills Training). The role of the BEdA Navigators is to engage with and support current and prospective students by providing comprehensive services that encourage students to persist in reaching their educational goals. The effective candidates will be a vital part of the BEdA team and coordinate with other TCC department to ensure all students are welcomed into TCC programs. These positions have many functions in common (Essential Functions) while focusing on different student populations. Individual functions are listed separately. These positions report to the Associate Dean of Basic Education for Adults. These positions are primarily in-person with some hybrid options available.
Essential Functions
Advising Functions:
* Promote effective and inclusive onboarding of BEdA students by being a part of the intake and orientation team for BEdA.
* Collaborate with student services, staff, and faculty to place students into appropriate levels of study and monitor student progress and participation.
* Advise prospective participants regarding program-specific processes and potential academic and vocational options.
* Participate in program recruitment both internally and externally.
* Provide consistent, ongoing advising and support to students utilizing various modes of communication.
* Assist students with developing secondary and post-secondary educational plans.
* Work collaboratively to design and deliver group advising sessions and workshops including quarterly Educational Planning Day sessions.
* Utilize student engagement programs such as Civitas, Inspire, and early alerts to provide timely supports.
Navigating Functions:
* Promote student access, retention, and diversity by fostering a sense of community and belonging for BEdA participants and acting as a liaison to student support services.
* Initiate appropriate interventions for students who are experiencing academic or non-academic difficulties.
* Connect students with appropriate academic and funding resources when transitioning to college or career.
* Build relationships with students, college staff and community partners that foster self-efficacy to increase persistence and success for underrepresented populations.
* Evaluate incoming high school transcripts and placement scores for the HS+ program.
* Communicate individual student requirements to faculty and maintain and submit accurate records for state reporting.
* Coordinate class scheduling for students taking an ABE subject and a college-level subject.
* Demystify college processes including assessment scores, placement, basic financial aid processes and other funding options.
Programmatic Functions:
* Develop and maintain student records and reports as required by the college and other agencies, including tracking of I-BEST and career pathway program outcomes such as program completions, persistence data, GPA, employment and transition to further training/academic programs.
* Work with the associate dean and data consultant to prepare and report student records and program data via college and agency reporting systems.
* Participate in committees, taskforces, and events which build and promote the targeted initiatives and goals of the college.
* Keep current on changes to high school graduation requirements (credit and non-credit) and attend local and state HS+ trainings.
* Collaborate with other staff and faculty to develop student education plans.

This role administers and manages Student Disability Services across all campus locations and satellites by providing overall leadership, planning, assessing, budgeting, and supervision for the Student Disability Services function. Bellevue College Grounds Crew maintains landscapes and hardscapes. The Grounds Crew supports the College's mission and goals by carrying an awareness throughout their work with regards to safety, accessibility, inclusivity and sustainability. The Grounds Crew is a large contributor to ensuring the College campus is free of litter and debris, is accessible to pedestrian and vehicular traffic, and ensuring public gathering spaces are well kept and available to the College community. * Assisting with College sponsored events, participation in department events (Hayride, wreath making event and other events), assisting in traffic control for planned and unplanned events, and various tasks as needed to aid in normal campus operations.
Minimum Qualifications
* Valid Washington State driver's license at the time of the interview AND two years driving experience.
* Ability to work outside in ALL weather conditions.

Essential Tasks
Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, this position will:
* Repair and remodel buildings, frames walls, repair roofs, hangs/tape GWB, finishes and paints interior sheet rock walls, installs counter tops, hangs doors, paints interior and exterior and other carpentry related tasks;
* Install and maintain plumbing, electrical and mechanical fixture, installs, maintains and repairs pipes, valves, drains, basins, faucets, lavatories, air conditioning, laundry equipment, kitchen equipment, gates and hydrants;
* Perform preventative maintenance and repair on all types of mechanical equipment such as laundry, kitchen, hospital, laboratory and air-conditioning equipment, clean or change filters, change oil, grease, adjust drive belts, inspect sprockets, shafts and bearings to ensure proper operations;
* Trouble shoot and repair locks, door and access control hardware;
* Install power plant equipment, operate shop machines/vehicles, and repair campus mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems;
* Perform preventative maintenance and repair of ballasts, motors, compressors, pumps, fire systems, lighting, plant equipment and other campus infrastructure;
* May operate equipment in snow and ice conditions, including participating in snow removal activities;
* Perform the work of a Maintenance Mechanic 2 (MM2) and is assigned responsibility to lead the work of others, coordinate & schedule repairs with outside contractors;

Qualifications

Position Highlights
This recruitment is for an hourly position responsible for assisting students in EMS programs with the performance of laboratory skill stations and demonstration of skill competency as required by the Washington Department of Health, accreditation, and the National Registry of EMT's. Reports to EMS Program Director.
Essential Functions
* Set up and breakdown lab skill stations.
* Assist with keeping track of and maintaining lab equipment.
* Assist program faculty with student skill competency demonstration, assists faculty during instruction, and assists faculty with evaluation of student skill performance.
* Performs reality-based scenarios for EMS students through simulation and patient care scenarios similar to what students will encounter in their careers as EMS providers.
* Provide critical, real-time feedback to students and EMS Program Evaluators regarding their State/national-mandated skills performance.
* May tutor or mentor students to develop competencies and enhance skill performance.
* Assist students as they develop in competencies in WA DOH health and accreditation-required skills.
* Perform other related tasks as assigned by program faculty
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
* WA State or NREMT certification in EMS*
* High school graduation or equivalent
* Successfully complete a criminal background check
* Note - EMT-certified applicants can only work in the EMT program unless specifically authorized to work in the paramedic program by the Program Director. Paramedic-certified applicants may work in both the EMT and paramedic program

Terms of Employment

The current salary range per credit hour is $1,043.70 to $1,117.75. Essential Tasks
RESPONSIBILITIES OF PART-TIME FACULTY:
* To provide instruction to students and help promote effective learning;
* To ensure that course content is consistent with department guidelines;
