The size of the school allows for staff to get to know all students by name.
Contracts at HM are at-will and administration is notorious for using that to get rid of teachers/staff who they don’t personally like, who challenge unreasonable policies, or who are in a position that administration would like filled by a friend/family member. When unfortunate events happen (accidents, injuries, illnesses, etc.), admin blames teachers rather than looking at policies that could use updates.
Days off for state hockey tournaments.
