Certified surgical technologists are responsible for preparing the operating room, including but not limited to, the sterile field, setting up surgical equipment, supplies, etc. During surgery, the certified surgical technologists contribute to patientcare by assisting the surgeon with instrumentation, supplies, specimens, and control of the sterile, surgical field. They are instrumental in preventing foreign retained objects. (Association of Surgical Technologists, 2022).
Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for scrubbing on all major and minor surgical procedures as assigned.

Assist the Occupational Therapist in performing all delegated treatment procedures, patientcare activities, research, education and training to implement the programs established by the department. QUALIFICATIONS
• Graduate of an AOTA accredited school for Occupational Therapist Assistants
• Licensed by the Ohio OT, PT, AT board as an Occupational Therapist Assistant
• Certified through the National Board for the Certification of Occupational Therapists
• Current BLS certification
• Basic computer skills
WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Hours of operation with shifts as assigned including occasional overtime, on-call or off-shifts (evenings and/or weekends) scheduled as necessary.
• Lunch and break periods must be coordinated with other staff members to ensure patient receive appropriate interventions.
• Subject to frequent interruptions and changes in priority of duties throughout the day.
• Subject to emergency and other crisis situations.
