Candidates must be competent in setting up survey control and performing data collection of monitoring points in support of excavation and adjacent construction as well as performing construction stakeout and data collection surveys. The field crew works on projects primarily located in Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. Qualifications: * Candidate must be able to operate Robotic Total Stations, Field Data Collectors, Digital Levels, and GPS units. Experience with Leica field equipment, Leica and Carlson field data collectors preferred. * Competent in Coordinate Geometry and Excel Spreadsheets. * Experience with Leica Captivate and Infinity software and AutoCAD with Carlson Survey office software is a plus. * Calibrate and care for tribrachs, prism rods, total stations, and all field equipment. * Able to work independently, solve problems, be organized, and accountable. * Must have excellent oral communication skills, able to communicate via email, and organize Survey data on the company server. * Must have excellent work habits and attendance. * Candidates must be able to carry 50 lbs over 800 ft of uneven terrain and work outdoors in extreme weather conditions. * Minimum of 1-year experience working on a survey field crew. * Two or four-year surveying degree is preferred; CST or LSIT certification a plus.     Pennoni is looking for a Project Municipal Engineer to contribute to our Municipal projects on a full-time, direct basis at our office in Columbia, MD. Primary Responsibilities: Experience in water and wastewater infrastructure planning, design, permitting, inspection and construction administration including pump stations, distribution, collection and conveyance, storage tanks, and treatment. Experience coordinating water and wastewater infrastructure design with other design disciplines (e.g. traffic, geotechnical, environmental, mechanical/electrical, and survey) also preferred. Project management experience a plus. Strong leadership skills. Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision. Be a self-motivated individual, possessing strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, along with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Strong ability to plan and manage preparation of construction drawings and specifications. Basic Requirements: Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required; working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D is strongly preferred. Experience with MS Project, Microstation, Revit, ArcGIS, WaterGEMS, and/or SewerGEMS is a plus. Professional Engineer Certification Preferred Qualifications: NASSCO certifications. Experience working on cross-functional teams to support infrastructure / utility projects, especially with wet utilities. Experience working on design and permitting activities. Proficiency on all standard Microsoft Office software applications (especially Word, Excel, and Outlook). Proven ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision while displaying a positive attitude. Strong leadership skills; project management experience is preferred. Excellent organizational skills, especially with a proven ability to work in a self-motivated manner while effectively multi-tasking and prioritizing multiple assignments. Excellent communication skills (verbal & written). (HCEA) is seeking multiple Land Surveying Field Crew staff positions, including a Party Chief and Instrument Operator, to join our Surveying, Monitoring, and Instrumentation Group in Annapolis Junction, Maryland. Candidates must be competent in setting up survey control and performing data collection of monitoring points in support of excavation and adjacent construction as well as performing construction stakeout and data collection surveys. The field crew works on projects primarily located in Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. Qualifications: * Candidate must be able to operate Robotic Total Stations, Field Data Collectors, Digital Levels, and GPS units. Experience with Leica field equipment, Leica and Carlson field data collectors preferred. * Competent in Coordinate Geometry and Excel Spreadsheets. * Experience with Leica Captivate and Infinity software and AutoCAD with Carlson Survey office software is a plus. * Calibrate and care for tribrachs, prism rods, total stations, and all field equipment. * Able to work independently, solve problems, be organized, and accountable. * Must have excellent oral communication skills, able to communicate via email, and organize Survey data on the company server. * Must have excellent work habits and attendance. * Candidates must be able to carry 50 lbs over 800 ft of uneven terrain and work outdoors in extreme weather conditions. * Minimum of 1-year experience working on a survey field crew. * Two or four-year surveying degree is preferred; CST or LSIT certification a plus.
