Cleans, sanitizes, and maintains all flooring according to facility cleaning schedules, which may include tiled, carpeted, polished concrete, wood and other flooring types. Cleans and sanitizes linens according to organizational protocol and keep a separation of dirty and clean linens within the laundry storage area. Distributes clean linens and paper goods according to facility schedule. Restocks cleaning and paper supplies according to organizational guidelines. Follows safety guidelines when using cleaning chemicals, appliances, and other commercial housekeeping equipment. Removes trash, boxes or other soiled materials to appropriate containers in a timeframe that ensures patient/visitor and staff safety and infection control in addition to following regulatory guidelines. Inspects housekeeping equipment to ensure safety prior to use. Use housekeeping equipment according to manufacturer and facility direction. Promptly notify business manager of any concerns. Maintains clean laundry, housekeeping and storage rooms that are free from fire and other hazards. Observes and reports any maintenance issues according to business manager guideline. Adheres to health and safety regulations pertinent to facility, organization, state or other regulatory body to promote and increase infection control. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Residential treatment facility setting; requires walking throughout the facility and may require moving between buildings/rooms in temperature extremes. Able to push, pull, pull up, bend at the knees and waist, twist body at the waist, raise and hold arms overhead, kneel, squat, crawl, turn head-neck-shoulders as needed, grasp other items with hands, for either extended periods of time or many times throughout the workday. Reaching · Reaching is performed continuously; up, down and forward. · Workers reach above 72" occasionally to turn on/off oven controls, change prices on sign, and lift and lower objects to and from shelves. · Workers reaching down to perform such tasks as scooping cornmeal from a plastic barrel, or washing dishes. · Workers reach forward when obtaining topping ingredients, cleaning work surfaces, or answering phones. Hand Tasks · Eye-hand coordination is essential. Use of hands is continuous during the day. · Frequently activities require use of one or both hands. Title: Detention Deputy I Pay Grade: 65 Department: County Sheriff - Jail FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Reports To: Detention Shift Sergeant Revision Date: 6/10/24 POSITION SUMMARY This position is responsible for supervising inmates of the Harvey County Jail while assuring a safe, secure, and sanitary environment in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS The following duties are normal for this position. However, they are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Position Overview: The primary responsibility of the Certified Medication Aide (CMA) is to administer oral and topical medications, excluding hypodermic injections, and provide direct resident nursing care under the direction and supervision of the Charge Nurse or Neighborhood Nurse. The CMA will function as a member of a team and assists in delivering resident care as outlined in residents Plan of Care. Essential Job Functions: Administer medications and simple treatments as ordered by the resident's physician in accordance with Policy and Procedure. Set up and administer oral PRN medications ordered by the physician; psychotropic prn's are only given after checking with Charge Nurse. Clean medication trays and treatment cart, and room at the end of each shift. Chart all medications and treatments given in the resident's electronic Medication Administration Record immediately after administration. Record and check in non-controlled medications received from the pharmacy. Controlled medications (schedule II, III, IV medications) require two licensed nurses to check/sign in. Report any medication errors to the Charge Nurse immediately. Insure adequate stocked supplies for medication and treatment administration for oncoming shift. Inform Charge Nurse of any problems/unusual happenings needing physician notification. Assist in implementing resident Plan of Care. As time allows following medication and treatment administration and taking of vital signs, assume responsibility for functions described in the plan of care. Assist residents to and from activities and hairdresser. Assist with other tasks, such as QA monitors as assigned by Charge Nurse. Participate in shift change reports. Attend Plan of Care meetings when appropriate. Initiate activities with residents in groups or one-on-one. Qualifications Qualifications and Experience: Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age or older. Must be Certified Medication Aide in Kansas. Physical Requirements: Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly.

DEPARTMENTAL MISSION: The goals of the Food Service Department are to prepare and serve nutritional, appealing meals to patients, staff, visitors, and guests in a sanitary and safe environment.
