Position Objective
The Data Specialist plays a critical role in managing, maintaining, and analyzing data across District systems. This position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and security of District data systems, generating reports, and performance tuning of Student Information System and production databases while ensuring high levels of data availability. The Data Specialist collaborates with various stakeholders to streamline data collection processes, maintain compliance with state and federal reporting requirements, and support the district's strategic goals.
QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE - KNOWLEDGE:
Degree in computer science, information technology or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
Knowledge of SQL and experience in developing and maintaining applications that use Microsoft SQL Server databases.
Knowledge of reporting and query tools and practices.
Strong understanding of standard relational database structures, theories, principles, and practices.
Experience with Tableau or other visualization tools preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Perform routine cleaning of the school grounds during regular school hours and after athletic events

Line, prepare and maintain all athletic fields and school activities for competitions

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit and see, talk and hear. The employee must be able to be on his/her feet for the full shift. The employee is required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must be able to lift a minimum of fifty (50) pounds on occasion and 35 pounds regularly. The employee must be able to push/pull items of a variety of weights, shapes, and sizes. The employee must be able to climb stairs and be on ladders up to six feet. The employee must be able to work with a variety of cleaning chemicals and other substances. The employee may be required to use computers and other office equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, such as to read type or hand written material.
The noise level in the work environment is generally quiet but can also be that of a high school and can be loud when in places like gyms and cafeterias. The employee may need to work outside in a variety of weather situations including extreme cold and heat for extended periods of time. The employee must be able to operate grounds related equipment (snow removal, mowers, etc) and have a valid driver's license. The employee is continuously interacting with students and staff.

Identify persons on the campus who have legitimate business and escort them to the security desk for sign-in procedures.
During the lunch hour, monitor appropriate corridors and exits, and supervise students.
Work cooperatively with the Deans' Office to assist students and teachers.
Between 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. monitor the building for unsupervised students.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Active Law Enforcement in good standing OR holding current IROCC credentials
Previous experience working with high school students in a supervision capacity
Good written and oral communication skills, including deescalating situations
Available on nights and weekends periodically
Enjoys working with young adults
