Civil/Structural Engineer
Lead site/civil and structural packages for new fab construction and major buildouts-from basis-of-design through commissioning/turnover. Scope includes grading/drainage, utilities, paving, and foundations; steel and concrete superstructures, pipe racks/trestles, mezzanines/platforms, cleanroom support framing, equipment pads, and seismic/wind/vibration performance.
Day-to-Day
Develop/own site plans, grading, drainage, roadway, and underground utility layouts (Civil 3D). Design deep/mat foundations, pile/caisson systems, slabs-on-grade, embeds/anchors, and equipment pads (heavy tools, tanks, chillers, scrubbers). Engineer structural steel and reinforced concrete: frames, mezzanines, pipe racks, supports, hoist/crane loads; detail connections and anchorage (Hilti PROFIS or equivalent). Perform structural analysis & load calcs (ETABS/RAM STAAD/RISA/SAP2000); check seismic (ASCE 7), wind, blast (as req.), drift, and vibration criteria (VC curves for cleanrooms). Coordinate BIM/VDC models in Revit/Navisworks; resolve clashes with MEP/tool hook-ups and set FF/FL and flatness tolerances for cleanroom slabs. Drive construction admin: RFIs, submittals, change orders, redlines; conduct field walks, inspections, and punch/turnover documentation. Interface daily with GC/EPC, trades, geotech, MEP, tool OEMs, facilities ops, and AHJs; support permitting.
Must-Have Skills
5-10+ years civil/structural design & construction for semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, or data center projects.
Proficiency with Civil 3D (site), Revit (structures), and Navisworks (clash); structural analysis in ETABS/RAM/STAAD/RISA/SAP2000.
Strong knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC 360/AISC Seismic, AWS D1.1, and local codes; anchorage & connection design.
Proven field execution: foundations/slab tolerances, steel erection, anchor setting, inspections, and contractor coordination.

This position will include the evaluation, planning, design and construction administration of water and wastewater projects in the central Texas area. Experience in the design of water and wastewater facilities including, water transmission systems, wastewater collection systems, water storage tanks, force mains, rehabilitation of water and sewer pipelines, pumping stations and treatment plants is required.
Requirements:
* Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or other relevant discipline from an ABET accredited program

Our client is a rapidly expanding and highly respected engineering firm in Southwest Austin seeking talented Civil Engineers at both EIT and PE levels with expertise in municipal water and wastewater design. Whether youre an early-career Engineer-in-Training or an experienced Professional Engineer, youll work on impactful infrastructure projects that serve local communitiesdesigning and improving water treatment plants, wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, storage facilities, and distribution systems.
Key Responsibilities
For Civil EIT:
Assist in developing project deliverables, including engineering plans, specifications, and reports for municipal water/wastewater systems.
Support the design of treatment plants, pump stations, pipelines, and related infrastructure.
Utilize software tools (Civil 3D, AutoCAD, WaterCAD, ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, etc.) to produce high-quality engineering designs.
For Civil PE:
Lead and oversee project scheduling, budgeting, and progress reporting.
Manage construction administration tasks, including submittals, contracts, bidding, and pay applications.
Supervise and mentor junior engineers (EITs) and coordinate with subcontractors, inspectors, and stakeholders.
Ensure projects meet technical, budgetary, and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
For Both Roles:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Masters preferred).
Civil EIT: EIT certification and 1+ years of experience in municipal water/wastewater design.
Civil PE: Active Texas PE license and 5+ years of experience in municipal water/wastewater design.
Proficiency with engineering design software such as Civil 3D, AutoCAD, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, WaterCAD, ArcGIS, or similar hydraulic modeling tools.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in drainage design and permitting.
Previous work with Texas municipalities or Municipal Utility Districts (MUDs).
Project management experience in public infrastructure projects.

Requirements:
You have a P.E. license.
You have a B.S. in Civil Engineering
You have 15+ years of hands-on experience in construction management, including commercial.
Your experience in single-family, high-rise, industrial, land development, and/or heavy/highway construction is a plus.
You have experience with quality control and safety issues on construction sites.
You have thorough working knowledge of contracts, means & methods, scheduling, estimating, and subcontractor management.
You can work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
You have excellent technical, analytical, writing, and communication skills.
You are willing to travel about 20% on average.
You have a valid driver's license and the ability to drive.
Prior forensic experience is
not
