Starting Pay: $22 an hour + shift differentials Key Responsibilities Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), assists in the evaluation of the physical and mental health of incarcerated patients both in the medical department and in the housing units Collaborates with security, mental health, and other medical staff in all aspects of patient care Must be able to remain focused and perform duties in a fast-paced, often stressful environment Uses Standard Precautions to always administer medical care with respect and dignity under the direction of a Registered Nurse and/or medical practitioner in accordance with established MedTrust Policies and Procedures Responds to medical and mental health emergencies throughout the facility using approved protocols Documents all patient encounters using the appropriate MAR or SOAPE form of charting (paper and/or EMR) as required by MedTrust policy and procedure Administers medications according to all medication administration rights and in accordance with MedTrust Policies and Procedures and any specific practitioner directions.
