We are looking for a full-time Physical Therapist to join our team at our Cascade Physical Therapy clinic. Our Physical Therapists are responsible for rehabilitating people with physical disabilities and/or injuries. Patients include post surgical, accident victims and individuals with disabling conditions such as back pain, arthritis, heart disease, fractures, head injuries, and neurological conditions such as multiple sclerosis and post surgical patients. The ideal candidate may specialize in pediatrics, geriatrics, orthopedics, sports medicine, neurology, or cardiopulmonary physical therapy. The candidate will also possess excellent interpersonal skills, a superior commitment to patient care, and the ability to work closely with patients and physicians.

Responsibilities:

Help to restore physical function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent permanent disability. Assist in restoring, maintaining, and promoting overall fitness and health.
Examine patient medical histories. Test and measure patients' strength, range of motion, balance and coordination, posture, muscle performance, respiration, and motor function.
Determine patients' ability to be independent and reintegrate into the workplace or community after injury or illness.
Develop plans describing a treatment strategy, its purposes, and its anticipated outcome. Plan often includes exercise regimens at the clinic and at home to increase flexibility, strength, or endurance. May use electrical stimulation, hot packs, cold compresses, and ultrasound to relieve pain and reduce swelling.
Teach patients how to use assistive and adaptive devices such as crutches, prostheses, and wheelchairs.
Document patient progress, conduct periodic examinations, and modify treatments with emphasis on identification of areas requiring more/less attention.
May participate in supervising physical therapy students, assistants and aides.
Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and abide by all HIPAA rules and regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required:
Bachelor's degree in physical therapy from accredited program; successful completion of clinical internship. Master's or Doctorate degree in physical therapy preferred.
Current state physical therapist license.
Current BLS certificate.
Must have previous outpatient orthopedics experience, clinical internships considered.
Knowledge of basic science including biology, chemistry, and physics as well as biomechanics, neuroanatomy, and disease manifestations.
Knowledge of medical practice policies/procedures, regulations, safety/injection control, and quality assurance requirements.
Knowledge of examination techniques and therapeutic procedures.
Skill in appropriate evaluation and treatment of patients including hands-on procedures such as deep-tissue massage.
Skill in using physical therapy equipment by consistently using devices appropriately to improve patient health status. Skill in effectively maintaining equipment; successful completion of related
competency testing.
Ability to effectively communicate interpersonally in order to educate patients about their physical therapy treatments.
Ability to demonstrate compassion and desire to help patients.
Ability to analyze data and modify treatment plans as appropriate.

What You Bring:

The counselor is required to maintain this status and complete continuing education requirements throughout their employment. The Counselor must also provide the agency with ongoing documentation of their current Washington Department of Health C.D.P. license credential throughout their employment.
Minimum Two years of experience in the social service field and in chemical dependency treatment is required in accordance with the qualifications for a Department of Health licensed Chemical Dependency Professional as stipulated in the WAC.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct psychological evaluations for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Perform eligibility reviews in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
Administer, score, and interpret standardized assessments, including:
Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS), (Wechsler)
Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales
Bayley Scales of Infant and Toddler Development
Provide clinical consultation and support to case management staff.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care.
Prepare comprehensive psychological reports and documentation.
Participate in training, committees, and occasional court testimony regarding eligibility determinations.
Requirements
PhD or PsyD in Psychology required.
Active California license as a psychologist required.
Required experience in:
Testing for developmental disabilities.

Strong analytical, clinical formulation, and report-writing skills.

Job Description:

Utilize best practices when conducting FBA and developing IBSPs.
Use objectives to plan, implement and evaluate the effectiveness of the interventions.
