Full-time Description
Reporting into the Sr. Regional Sales Manager, this position is responsible for managing the sales activities at some of the most high-profile Hirose accounts within Illinois and Wisconsin to drive pipeline, increase sales, implement strategic corporate directives, and develop a junior account manager. This position is a hybrid position reporting to our Downers Grove, IL office.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Core duties and responsibilities include the following.

Sales
Exceed yearly sales goals with high visibility Hirose accounts.
2. Grow the sales pipeline and increase conversion dollars surpassing year over year targets.
3. Identify, build, and expand relationships within a targeted list of accounts.
Develop strategies, implement meeting plans, and focus sales activities at these accounts.
Utilize selling strategies based upon key value-add categories such as technology, risk, service, investment, timing, and pricing to achieve successful design wins.
6. Collaborate and work together with Hirose's customer support roles to optimize our service to our customers (Regional Sales Engineer/FAE, Regional Distribution Manager, Segment Managers, Customer Service Specialists, Technical Support Engineering, Quality Engineering).
7. Create and deliver customized and targeted product presentations.
Provide support to customers throughout development and production, keeping both our customers and the organization informed of progress.
Actively manage and prioritize opportunities at all targeted accounts.
10. Become the foremost Hirose expert on your customers and their industries guiding Engineering, Product Management, and Marketing to meet customer and industry needs for the future.
11. Develop and implement strategic account plans to maximize Hirose revenue and profitability, account penetration, and customer satisfaction.
12. Position Hirose as a key supplier for current and future business opportunities.
13. Establish executive relationships for the given focus accounts.
14. Act as the customer interface for two-way communication between Hirose and our customers.
15. Create, coordinate, and execute a global strategy for international accounts.
16. Comply with Hirose sales policies, pricing guidelines, and best practices.
Leadership, Teamwork, and Management
Manage, educate, and develop a junior level Account Manager within the region.
Jointly set goals and expectations, metric, evaluate, provide feedback and open dialogue to the employee regularly throughout the year and in semi-yearly and yearly reviews.
Instill best sales strategy and professional practices ensuring that the employee meets sales and organization deliverables and responsibilities.
Demonstrate Hirose's philosophy of “connecting wisdom;” take the lead, pursue the cutting edge, achieve differentiation, and be the first to obtain consumer approval.
Build close relationships with Hirose Japan personnel; assist with periodic customer visits by Japanese engineers and other Hirose personnel.
Create, encourage, and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Work closely and regularly with the Segment Teams and Product Management to knowledge-share, determining product fits and opportunity targets.
8. Continually strive for and have conversations with management and team members on self-improvement and professional development.
Product Development
Identify, evaluate, and coordinate the development of potential product lines with key accounts and (potential) customers.
Provide direction and closed loop feedback to implement New Product Introduction (NPIs) plans with Marketing, including target account identification, promotion schedule, samples and pricing.
Monitor the product development process driving the Hirose team to meet customer commitments and milestones.
Maintain awareness and develop a point of view on industry trends to anticipate customer needs.
Interface with industry groups and standards committees, as necessary.
Administration
1. Responsible for recording and maintaining current and accurate data for customer meetings, projects, and opportunities within Salesforce.
2. Complete all required report outs (ex. monthly forecasting), reports, and presentations within their respective deadlines.
3. Interact with and support Hirose management for a multitude of organizational initiatives and deliverables.
4. Provide input and participate in discussions to establish yearly sales goals
5. When applicable complete tasks per ISO9001-2008 requirements.

Work with Manufacturing AQP or QE to conduct Safe Launch exercise. Perform process and product Quality audits to qualify new production processes, and to ensure compliance to documented control plans for new products.
Facilitate the development of measurement plans / methods and lead the disposition of new products at FOT (First Off Tool) and Qualification. Ownership of necessary gauges & inspection fixtures. Perform Measurement System Analysis, Capability Studies & any necessary statistical analysis with goal of Tool / Process Qualification.
Facilitation during front-end product / tool / assembly design. Conduct process flow reviews, design & process FMEA while providing inputs on internal and external quality history, lessons learned while using active & critical thinking / questioning. Reviews and approved reliability test plan.

Your Job Molex is seeking a Product Specialist to join our Optical Connectivity Group, supporting Datacom and Medical products for global customers. In this role, you'll collaborate with Product Line Managers and Product Managers to execute strategic marketing, commercialization, and promotional plans that drive customer engagement and product adoption. You'll contribute to product training, web initiatives, sales releases, and marketing activities that help achieve divisional revenue goals. Additional responsibilities include coordinating sample shipments, supporting tradeshows, creating customer-facing collateral, and partnering with manufacturing teams on strategic initiatives, all while helping deliver innovative connectors and cable solutions that power today's data centers and prepare them for the future.

What You Will Do
Create & update product marketing collateral to promote products via website and other marketing channels
Collaborate with engineering teams to create unified and standardized formatting for technical documents for each product family for a seamless customer experience
Support Product Managers and New Product Development Managers with execution tasks such as order tracking, sample shipments, and prototype builds among other things
Engage with PMs as needed to create/fine-tune product messaging for improved internal and external promotion, including but not limited to roadmaps, presentations, and brochures
Work closely with the Molex MarCom team on product release documents taking new products to market through the standard process
Review and execute strategies for various products pertaining to distribution partnerships, stocking packages, registrations, and other strategic distribution initiatives
Learn necessary SAP functions/screens, BW reporting, and RPM Systems to support OCG PLMs by running various reports and analysis as needed
Develop a knowledge of the Datacom & Medical industries, customers, and applicable Molex products through proactive investigation and customer engagement; expected to eventually lead product trainings

What You Will Do
Be responsible for leading, executing, and documenting results of innovative solutions
Explore new materials & manufacturing technologies to enable the next generation of ultra-high-speed interconnect solutions
Trial and optimize quick-turn design & analysis tools, disseminating knowledge and developing best practices to support data-driven product development
Utilize rapid prototyping methods to create Proof of Concept (POC) prototypes
Clearly document POC results for sharing to internal teams and for presentation to customers
Collaborate with the manufacturing and signal integrity teams to develop cost-competitive and creative concepts. Ensure designs are efficient to manufacture while meeting our high-performance market requirements
Interface with cross functional team members in signal integrity, manufacturing integration, product management, sales, state of the art test laboratories, on-premise model shop, and leadership teams
Facilitate knowledge sharing within and between cross functional teams via digital tools and interpersonal relationships
Create relationships with senior leadership, cross functional team members and peers through team building activities and growth opportunities operating as One Molex Team
Engage with external customers to develop next generation solutions that meets their needs
Provide advanced application and technical support to strategic customers
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
10+ years experience in electro-mechanical product design and development with proven technical leadership
Experience with advanced parametric 3D CAD systems (NX, Creo, Solidworks, CATIA, etc.)
Expert in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and concepts within industry
Experience defining, executing, and interpreting design validation plans & reports (DVP&R)
Familiarity with defining and interpreting Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
Demonstrated utilization of statistical Tolerance Analyses
Design experience with high-volume products manufactured using a subset of the following processes: progressive die stamping, injection molding, die casting, insert molding, automated assembly
Proven track record of developing innovative solutions
Desire to learn, be challenged and interact in a cross functional team environment
A demonstrated ability to learn quickly and make logical, data-based decisions when presented with novel tasks and requirements
What Will Put You Ahead
Master's degree or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or other related engineering field
15+ years experience in electro-mechanical product design and development with proven technical leadership
Design experience with high speed (112Gb/s+), high density connectors, cable assemblies, and interconnect products
Experience with Siemens NX and Teamcenter
Familiarity with correlating simulated results to measured test results
Knowledge of regulatory agency testing requirements (UL, CSA, EIA, etc.)
Good understanding and practical knowledge of Six Sigma quality development tools and principles (DOE, FMEA, etc.)
Experience with design & analysis of compliant mechanisms
Understanding and application of sound project management techniques managing projects to timelines, due dates and deadlines
History of working within an international organization and/or working with international suppliers & team members
Familiarity with data analysis tools such as Minitab
For this role, we anticipate paying $125,000 - $170,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.

What You Will Do
