Summary of the position:
The Assembler position requires an individual to perform several duties as defined within the Assembly family.
This position is located at Hitachi Global Air Power in Michigan City, Indiana, and reports to the Production Supervisor.
Duties and responsibilities:
Assemble compressors in assigned area using Work Center Instructions (WCI), Piping & Instrumentation instructions (P&I), Wiring Diagram (WD) and Bill of Material (BOM) and assembly drawings.
Apply decals to machines, as needed.
Utilize Andon signals per guidelines.
Measure, cut, bend, fit small tubing to machine. Install tubing and fittings using hyferset.
Install foam insulation on tubing and controls.
Install heat trace tape to tubing and controls AND/OR bend large tubing with power bender per print or custom fit (Industrial).
Assemble frames in assigned area, per BOM, or WCI.
Assemble separator tanks in assigned area, using BOM, P&I or WCI.
Assemble components to engines in assigned area, per BOM or WCI.
Connect motor leads and connectors to power source per WD and BOM.
Wire machines or packages, terminating wire harnesses or basic wiring in assigned area, per WD.
Assemble couplings on engines/motors and air ends in assigned area, per WCI, BOM.
Inspect finished machines at the end of process in assigned area, and receive them into finished goods.
Align motor, air end and coupling in assigned area, using calipers, dial indicators and straight edge.
Assemble and insulate enclosures and install on machine in assigned area, per BOM, WCI.
Assemble mounted or remote cooler packs in assigned area, per BOM, WCI, WD and P&I.
Terminate wiring for controls, basic panels, fan motors, etc. in assigned area, per WD and P&I.
Test electrical controls/components per WCI, WD and P&I.
Assemble and/or rework compressor packages and equipment.
Requisition and stock materials and supplies.
Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly.
Qualifications:
Education:
High School education or equivalent and a minimum of two years year post high school training/experience.
Professional experience:
Minimum of 2 years' previous manufacturing assembly required.
Basic computer skills required.
Basic reading skills necessary to perform the functions of the job.
Mechanical assembly ability, ability to read simple blueprints, wiring diagrams/drawings preferred.
Prior forklift experience or completion of forklift training preferred.
Working with various hand and pneumatic tools and various measuring tools.
Ability to read blueprints.
Knowledge of basic electricity and wiring diagrams/drawings.
Key behaviors:
Lifting up to 35 lbs.
Lifting over 35 lbs. requires a lifting device, crane/hoist, or assistance from another associate.
Physically able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reaching, kneeling and working in awkward positions.
Work involves considerable stooping, bending, and kneeling.
Working with cranes, presses, cleaning solvents, sharp edges on parts, hot materials, electrical components, and moving parts by carts.
Working with high air pressure equipment, and at times extreme noise.

Participate in EHS quarterly audits, if required.
Required to wear the proper PPE equipment for the work area.
Required to attend scheduled toolbox and safety meetings.

Design, documentation, and programming of building automation systems (BASs) in compliance with project plans and specifications. Proactive communication with project stakeholders including requests for information and technical risks and opportunities. Mentorship of less experienced Application Engineers in all areas of their development.

Summary of the Position
Provide technical phone support for Hitachi Global Air Power (HGAP) C&I/Industrial Stationary products. Responsible for answering technical questions about HGAP products including installations, maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting. Work with various departments at HGAP to address concerns from the field to drive issues to a timely closure. Document service visits and generate reports with action items. Support HGAP Training Department through content development and product updates for customers, distributors, and employees.
Please note, this position is posted for several levels of technical support, from entry to senior level.
Location: Remote OR On-site, Michigan City, IN

Minimum Requirements
1 to 10+ years of technical troubleshooting of electrical and/or mechanical systems.
Exposure to industrial product manufacturing and processes.
Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally.
Understanding of Microsoft outlook and office.
Ability to read and interpret schematics.
Ability to work independently or on a team.
Preferred Qualifications
Technical Trade School
Technical troubleshooting Electric Rotary Screw Compressor experience
Experience installing and troubleshooting refrigerated and desiccant compressed air dryer systems.
Experience with Oil Free Compressor start-up and support.
Experience with Centrifugal compressor commissioning and support.
Demonstrated success in technical training of compressed air systems.
Experience with industrial product manufacturing and processes.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical assistance related to HGAP Industrial products via phone and email queues.
Travel to field jobsites to troubleshoot and assist in repair of HGAP Industrial compressors, dryers, and related components.
Follow standard work for pre and post service preparation (Submit expense reports, develop service reports, making travel arrangements).
Follow all Environmental Health and Safety policies procedures.
Communicate distributor feedback to HGAP management as VOC.
Drive field concerns to closure in a timely manner.
Support goal of service within the Service department of 95%.
Assist in writing technical service bulletins.
On time to all meetings / appointments / and scheduled engagements.
Diligent to work habits.
Dedicated to completion of responsibilities.
Willing to accept responsibilities within a team environment.

Summary of the position:
The Materials Team Lead is a highly visible front-line role on the Team, which will require leadership skills and relationship management responsibilities.
This position is located at Hitachi Global Air Power in Michigan City, Indiana, and reports to the Value Stream Leader - Rotor Shop.
Duties and responsibilities:
• Assist Supervisor in, and lead in Supervisor's absence, the day-to-day allocation of resources to achieve production targets.
• Identify, develop, and implement best practices in safety, quality, on-time delivery, and cost reduction.
• Understand and communicate work priorities based on customer needs and resource availability.
• Ensure the team has all necessary parts, tools, information, and instructions in their area.
• Report all barriers to production with a sense of urgency.
• Use problem-solving skills and root cause analysis to resolve and/or mitigate operational issues.
• Assist in training employees on the weekly safety topics and ensure compliance to all safety policies.
• Read, interpret, and follow basic engineering drawings, P&I, assembly drawings, WD drawings, specifications, work instructions, bills of materials, and other written instructions.
• Have the aptitude to learn, perform, and then ultimately train others to perform all production tasks in their assigned area.
• Understand quality specifications and inspection criteria in the work areas and train others to the same.
• Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified.
• Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and overhead cranes.
• Ensure use of proper material handling practices and maintain inventory control through accurate transactions.
• Promote a culture of inclusion and teamwork to ensure a high performing team.
• This position is required to perform production work at least 50% of their workday.
Qualifications:
Education:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Associate's degree or other post high school training (2 years duration) preferred
• Supply Chain Management certification, such as CLA and CLT, a plus
Professional experience:
• 3-5 years shop floor manufacturing experience
• 1-3 years of leadership experience preferred
• Ability to work as a team member and lead a team requiring minimal supervision
• Must possess good written and oral communication skills
• Ability to determine root causes of problems and prevent reoccurrences
• Willingness to cross-train and train others

Summary of the position:
The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for maintaining a professional and proactive relationship between the cross functional organization and the Quality Department. The Quality Assurance Technician performs inspections, tests, and audits to ensure compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements. Summary of the position:
The Logistics Specialist is responsible for coordinating all shipments from Hitachi Global Air Power (HGAP) to our customers or other partners. The Logistics Specialist works closely with the warehouse, production, sales support and other departments within HGAP to ensure timely shipping and excellent customer service.
This position is located in Michigan City, Indiana.
Duties and responsibilities:
Coordinate shipments from HGAP facilities to customers or other partners via various modes including LTL, Truckload, Flatbed, Parcel, Air, and Ocean.
Work directly with carriers, transportation partners, and freight forwarders as necessary to acquire rate quotes, book shipments, and arrange pickups/deliveries.
Prepare shipping documentation for all domestic and international shipments.
Work with the warehouse for shipment priority and general shipment preparation.
Arrange transportation for drop shipments from vendors to customers or any other shipment that HGAP is responsible for.
Process receipts for drop shipments.
Process freight claims for lost or damaged freight.
Perform other logistics functions including debit/credit requests for freight charges, approving freight charges, or any other logistics-related tasks as needed.
Overall duties will be based on HGAP location and primary role assignment.
Qualifications:
Education:
Associate degree or other post high school training/experience - 2 years minimum
Professional experience:
2+ years Logistics experience preferred

SAP knowledge preferred
