This is the eighth year in a row that Hiway has earned the distinction of being one of the state’s best employers. Hiway takes great pride in creating a culture where our associates feel rewarded, needed and challenged. Over the past several years, Hiway has made several moves to provide more for their associates, including adding 12 weeks of paid parental/medical leave and raising the minimum wage to $15 per hour for all positions. An active member of the St. Paul community, Hiway also encourages volunteerism by providing associates 12 hours of paid time per year to support causes important to them. During this past year’s pandemic, Hiway rewarded its member-facing associates with 20 percent bonus pay for several weeks in recognition of their hard work during the coronavirus pandemic.

  Hiway's foundation is based on making a difference in our members' lives and fostering strong, long-lasting relationships within our community. Part of that means donating our time and resources to numerous non-profit organizations and community events. We build lifelong partnerships with our members. We do this by listening to, educating and empowering our members to help them reach their financial goals. We participate with credit union for kids, volunteer income tax assistance, towards zero deaths initiative, united heroes league, spare key, best prep & junior achievement, beyond the yellow ribbon, and more. We also have four school branches within the twin cities and provide financial education and internships to the students.
