Telecommunications Installer Level III/IV
The Telecommunications Installer Level III/IV is responsible for the overall development and implementation of various installation and maintenance services. The person in this position will provide these services in the field at customer sites as well as in the HM Cragg corporate facility.
Reporting Relationship: The Telecommunications Installer Level III/IV reports to the Director of Service
Responsibilities/Accountabilities
· Performs additions, removals, and modifications to working equipment and circuits
· Performs the following work activities without supervision or direction:
Addition or removal of common systems equipment and hardware
Addition or removal of wiring connections on non-working equipment
Lead verification and continuity testing
Analysis of job specifications, drawings, and documentation
Be able to provide work assignments to Skill Level 1 and 2 Installers
Be proficient in preparing General, Detailed, and Combined Method of Procedure's (MOP's)
Be proficient in preparing a Job Information Memorandum (JIM)
Resolve job specification and/or drawing problems without assistance
Mark and correct office record drawings
Be able to perform in-process and final quality inspections
Circuit modifications
Software additions or upgrades
Power transition work
Addition or removal of batteries
Addition or removal of circuits on working power distribution sources
Equipment testing and turn-up
· Has capability of being job site manager
· Adheres to the installation methods and standards per Telcordia GR-1275-CORE and/or customers' installation standards
· Demonstrates proper operation of basic tools and test equipment
· Supplies and organizes trucks with all equipment necessary to perform job functions at various sites.
· Proactively stays up to date on safety training, compliance and knowledge of HAZ MAT and DOT requirements
· Continually trains and develops to advance to the next levels of Installation and Field Technician
· Conforms to all safety standards
· Perform other assignments as assigned
Requirements:
Skills/Knowledge
· Must have a minimum of 6 years of experience or equivalent experience as determined by HMC management
· Ability to take direction, communication and supervision from Service Manager and assigned Project Manager

Job Description
Installation and Service Technician - Lvl I/II
The Installation and Service Technician - Level I/II is responsible for the overall development and implementation of various installation and maintenance services related to DC Power and Telecommunications equipment in Wireless and Landline environments. The person in this position will provide these services in the field at customer sites as well as in the HM Cragg corporate facility.
Reporting Relationship:
The Installation and Service Technician - Level I/II reports to the Service Manager
Responsibilities/Accountabilities
· Performs additions, removals, and modifications on working equipment and circuits under supervision of a Level III or IV:
DC Power Plant installations
VLA (Flooded) and VRLA Battery additions, removals and replacements
Secondary DC Power additions, removals and replacements
Run, Test and Terminate Alarms
Installation of common wireless equipment such as Fuse Panels, and other DC Power Equipment
· Performs the following work activities with supervision:
Addition or removal of common systems equipment and hardware
Addition or removal of wiring connections on non-working equipment
Lead verification and continuity testing
Analysis of job specifications, drawings, and documentation
Circuit modifications
Power transition work
Addition or removal of batteries
Addition or removal of circuits on working power distribution sources
· Adheres to the installation methods and standards per Telcordia GR-1275-CORE and/or customers' installation standards
· Demonstrates proper operation of basic tools and test equipment
· Supplies and organizes trucks with all equipment necessary to perform job functions at various sites.
· Continually trains and develops to advance to next levels of Installation and Service Technician
· Adheres to all company and industry safety policies and procedures
· Adheres to the applicable customer, industry and manufacturers maintenance/installation methods and standards
· Proactively stays up to date on safety training, compliance and knowledge of HAZ MAT and DOT requirements
· Perform other assignments as assigned
Note: This position SHALL NOT perform work operations or job activities on working equipment or live circuits without the direct supervision of a qualified Level IV Technician.

Qualifications:
· High school diploma
· Must have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience or equivalent experience as determined by HMC management
· Ability to work at various heights
· Ability to lift items greater than 25lbs (and up to 150 lbs.) repetitively on a regular basis
· Ability to maintain a valid driver's license
· Ability to obtain Class C Commercial Driver's License with Hazardous Material Endorsement
· Must pass a physical exam, background check and pre-employment drug screening
