POSTION OVERVIEW: Under general supervision of the Director of IT, this position maintains the information technology environment for AOM. The Systems Engineer's role is to ensure the stability, integrity and efficient operation of the in-house and cloud information systems that support core organizational functions. This is achieved by designing, implementing, monitoring, maintaining, supporting and optimizing all networked software and associated operating systems. The Systems Engineer will apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve issues to maximize the benefits of IT systems investments. Requirements Education and Experience: A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Safety Engineering or a related field 8-10 years of experience in HSE and/or IT related work. Experience working on large-scale IT projects and teams. Proven experience working across multiple operations, influencing various levels of both HSE and IT teams. Skills and Competencies: Strong understanding of IT systems and solutions, including data analytics, reporting tools, and information management systems. Knowledge of HSE regulations and standards, and experience in implementing IT solutions that support compliance. Proficiency in SQL Server, Power BI, and other data analytics tools. Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in IT and HSE. Desired Qualifications: Experience in implementing and managing broad-based HSE IT programs. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong written and oral communication skills. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
