With over 20 years of technology and healthcare experience, Merced is one of the founding members of Hospitalist Now and is responsible for HNI’s interfacing and connectivity model, successfully creating custom APIs to Hospital Information and Practice Management Systems across the country. Merced has also developed and created HNI’s proprietary HmVitalSigns™ (patented) Technology and is the chief architect of HNI’s Dashboards and KPIs. Before joining HNI, Merced held the VP of Technology position at Resolution, a leading Revenue Cycle company and held various leadership roles at Dell Computer in Round Rock, Texas. Merced is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and holds numerous Microsoft and Cisco certifications.

Reuben W. Tovar, MD, CMO, joined HNI after working exclusively as a hospitalist for the previous 14 years. Dr. Tovar served as the President of a 60-Hospitalist practice providing care over multiple hospitals in a large citywide hospital system. The primary focus of his leadership has been clinical integration, clinical documentation integrity, CPOE, utilization management, hospitalization status designation, and physician recruitment. Dr. Tovar has worked closely with hospital systems in bylaws development, in center of excellence designations, and with community outreach agendas. He has served in numerous hospital administrative roles including Chairman of Internal Medicine and Chief of Staff. Dr. Tovar has extensive experience in establishing new hospitalist practices requiring marketing initiatives and integration with the primary care base. He has developed large networks of sub-acute practices around acute facilities providing HNI with expertise in transitional care issues. Dr. Tovar graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with honors and earned his Medical Degree at the Baylor College of Medicine. His internship and residency were also completed at the BCM. He is boarded certified in Internal Medicine and in Palliative Care.

Scott Klosterman is a Member of the Board of Directors at DYNATRONICS CORP and Chief Of Staff at HNI Healthcare and is based in Utah. He has worked as Audit Senior at PwC; Member, Advisory Board at Biodex Medical Systems Inc; and Division Controller--Medical Division at STRYKER CORP.
