This opportunity entails supporting the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) to increase rail system operational efficiency. HNTB has been tasked with the review of existing processes, procedures, workflows, tools, templates, and systems associated with rail system access and coordination to identify opportunities for improvement, and then supporting the customer in implementing those opportunities.
This position will be based at HNTB and WMATA offices in Washington, D.C. and Alexandria, Virginia.
What You'll Do:
Inspects, observes, documents, and verifies work in progress by the construction contractor to ensure compliance with project schedule, contract documents. and plans. Confirms procedures are followed and material used conforms to specifications.
Advises Contractor superintendent or Project Manager of necessary actions to ensure conformance with plan, specs, and contract. Reviews and resolves quantity disputes with contractor.
Utilizes engineering inspection practices to perform sophisticated and complicated mathematical calculations, constructability and biddability reviews, and measurements of completed work to date.
Reviews and check calculations for Inspector's daily report of assigned work activities, contractor labor and equipment, quantity of material received and verified.
Performs on-site material testing and produces as-constructed sketches.
Leverage relationships with peers for project discovery and talent acquisition.
Maintains as-built record drawings.
Performs contract close-out documentation.
Performs construction schedule reviews, contractor pay estimate reviews, and change order management.
Prepares and leads project progress meetings.
Serves as field technical subject matter expert.
May lead daily assignments, mentor, and train employees.
Partners with client and acts as liaison between the field and the office.
Performs other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need:
Associates degree in Engineering, Construction Services, or related field and 12 years relevant experience, or
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Services or related field and 10 years of relevant experience, or
In lieu of degree, 14 years of relevant experience
What You'll Bring:
Interprets contract plans and specifications, providing solutions for discrepancies within plans.
Brings solutions to the contractor to maintain the schedule.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to make sound decisions based on site field conditions.
Experience in working on railroad right of way and test train environment.
Roadway Worker Protection (RWP) qualified or capable of receiving training.
Coordinates the project for one field site.

In lieu of degree, 16 years of relevant experience.
Completion of Track Inspection Standards training program from an accredited university or successful completion of Rail Transit Agency Inspection course
Track Geometry specialists with Tamper experience is desirable

AECOM are seeking a qualified and experienced Transportation Asset Manager to support the development and implementation of Transportation Asset Management Plans (TAMPs) for State Departments of Transportation. This role requires a strong engineering background, deep knowledge of transportation infrastructure, and familiarity with federal asset management requirements under MAP-21 and the FAST Act.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:

Professional Engineer (PE) license
Certification in asset management (e.g., IAM, ISO 55000, CAMA).

The AECOM Hunt Valley office looking for a Traffic Engineer. The employee will be assigned to Traffic Group at Maryland SHA District 5 Office in Annapolis, MD. Job Description
AECOM is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to support a nationwide capital construction program for a U.S. Federal client. Serving as the Owner's Representative, this role is responsible for providing comprehensive oversight of project execution, contract administration, cost and schedule control, and compliance across all phases of delivery-from preconstruction through commissioning and closeout. The Senior Project Manager will act as a trusted partner to the client, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in full alignment with contractual, financial, and regulatory requirements.

Attend and represent owner preconstruction meetings.

Manage project budgets and financial performance by tracking costs, forecasting expenses, and ensuring profitability.
Review all Value Engineering (VE) Proposals, supporting documentation, technical evaluations, and recommend acceptance or rejection of the proposal.
Review cost estimates.
Review project budget.
Resolve disputes and contractual issues by working with legal, claims, and project control teams.

Assist in enforcing labor standards at the Project site.
Assist with instituting corrective actions if labor violations are found.
Confirm that the construction contractor has posted the effective wage rate decision at the site.
Submit a written report summarizing Subcontractor activity, compliance with the Subcontracting Plan, and adherence to goals contained within the Subcontracting Plan.
Verify that the approved Subcontracting Plan is followed once each quarter (four times per year).
Verify that workers designated as apprentices are enrolled in a certified apprenticeship program.
Review payrolls to verify payment of any required minimum wage rates.
Immediately notify the construction contractor, the COR, or other project officials if a potentially life-threatening safety conditions are observed.
Inspect the construction contractors' workmanship, materials, and equipment for conformity with requirements of the construction contracts.
Lead safety and quality control initiatives to maintain a safe work environment and deliver high-quality outcomes.
Maintain a list of all defects and omissions.
Maintain Non-Conformance Notice and Open Issues Log Reconciliation
Monitor project progress and prepare reports for executive leadership, clients, and stakeholders.

Experience with managing US Federal Government projects within the past 5 years.
Relevant experience leading contacts, managing people, budgets, schedules, overseeing subcontractor performance, and working with stakeholders and governing agencies on behalf of a public-works owner.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Master's degree in construction management, engineering, or architecture.
Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture professional certifications (CCM/PMP) and/or license (RA/PE).
OSHA 10 Certification.
Experience and understanding of all contract documents and in field problem solving skills and the interpretation of drawings and specifications

**Pay Range:**
- Locations in WA, DC & Various CA, MA areas-$71,600.00 - $100,300.00 Annually

What You'll Be Doing:
Advise and support the NDOC staff on OSINT policies, communication and engagements to advance DIA's joint, interagency, intergovernmental, and multinational (JIIM) coordination, strategy, policy, and doctrinal development collaborating with the Intelligence Community (IC), Department of War/Department of Defense (DoD/DoW), Combatant Commands (CCMD), and military service branches.

The role of a Project Engineer with our Water Team is a dynamic position well suited to an individual who is good at managing multiple tasks and deadlines and working with multi-disciplinary teams. Your Key Responsibilities
* Manages project technical tasks including completing design work, calculations, writing specifications and technical reports on a wide range of civil infrastructure projects generally involving sanitary & storm sewer, water main design, pump stations, wastewater resource recovery facilities, water treatment facilities, and stormwater management/drainage plans.
* Coordinates design and report deliverable packages for submission to clients and/or approval authorities.
* Coordinate with the Project Manager and attend meetings with the client, team members and sub-consultants.
* Understands and implements industry standards and manuals as well as client and regulatory agencies standards and requirements.
* Assist in the preparation of engineering project documents, client presentations, client contact and communication pertaining to specific project deliverables.
* Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure compatibility with the design intent.
* Prepare engineering documents and contract documents by developing construction specifications, plans and schedules.
* Evaluates, selects, specifies, and engineers process mechanical systems or products for a project.
* Conducts quality assurance and quality control on own projects.
* Assist in the review of shop drawings and submittals, responds to request for information, prepares site observation reports, and performs other contract administration tasks.
* Participate in basic cost estimating under the direction of technical leaders to support engineering projects.
* Perform other duties as assigned by senior engineering staff.
* Involvement in regional industry professional associations.

Your Capabilities and Credentials
* Demonstrated efficient task management and technical execution of assigned tasks on multiple concurrent projects.
* Broad, general understanding of many relevant areas of municipal engineering, hydraulics, and process mechanical systems design with respect to materials as well as industry standards.
* General understanding of various construction means and methods and their disturbance impacts on the project site.
* Requisite knowledge, interpretation, and application of design and construction codes.
* Strong understanding of all phases of project document production and the relationship between drawings and specifications.
* Proficient with of Microsoft Office Suite. Basic understanding of Revit is a plus.

Your Opportunity
As a Mechanical Engineer, your role in our professional consulting services team is to work independently on multidisciplinary projects of various complexity as a discipline leader, through all phases of a project lifecycle. **Pay Range:**
- Locations in MN, OH, VT, & Various CA, NY Areas-$107,100.00 - $160,700.00 Annually
- Locations in CO, HI, IL, MD & Various CA, NJ Areas-$117,800.00 - $176,800.00 Annually
- Locations in WA, DC & Various CA, MA areas-$126,400.00 - $189,600.00 Annually
**Pay Transparency:** In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
