This includes leading development of NEPA documentation, overseeing QA, supporting permitting and agency coordination, assisting with schedules, developing public outreach plans, supporting process improvement, and rewriting documents as needed.
This opportunity also entails providing technical support to marketing pursuits, providing training and mentorship to staff and supporting NEPA delivery for transportation projects across the firm in markets beyond South Carolina.
**What You'll Do:**
+ Under minimal direction, performs a variety of more highly complex professional planning, environmental planning, landscape architecture and urban design project responsibilities, and leads technical tasks.
+ Writes and/or reviews major sections of and leads production of plans, studies, reports, and environmental documents for projects. Coordinates and synthesizes the contributions of others.
+ Leads, prepares, and reviews graphics, technical reports, work plans, scopes of work, fee proposals, and responses to Request for Proposals for projects. Prepares and reviews budgets, invoicing, and billing.
+ Leads public and stakeholder engagement and presents information to the community.
+ Provides guidance and mentors staff.
+ Leads coordination with clients, sub-consultants, and in-house personnel on a regular basis to complete assigned tasks.
+ Recommends process and system improvements that result in greater efficiencies, enhanced capacities, and improved service delivery.
+ Supports department managers and office leadership with strategic planning, staffing/training, and other special projects.
+ May serve as project manager or task lead.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.

The Infrastructure FHWA Account Manager (AM) is an integral member of Infrastructure's leadership team and US Federal Programs, overseeing all aspects of FHWA market growth and development. HDR is looking for Senior Construction Inspectors to join our South Carolina Transportation Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) team in any of the following locations: Charleston, Columbia, Greenville, or Beaufort, SC. They will be inspecting asphalt and concrete for acceptable materials and mix, and pavement for proper spreading, rolling, depth, alignment, and compaction. They will also inspect roadway and structures for conformance to plans, and specifications; structural materials and members; placement of culverts; structural operations such as foundation excavation; placement of piling, reinforcing and structural steel, concrete and backfill; traffic control and erosion control devices. They will perform complex calculations and computations, as well as contract documentation duties, which may include field measurements of pay items as well as other required documentation. Night and / or weekend work may be required as dictated by client project needs.
Preferred Qualifications
* Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction inspection for transportation projects required
* Must have considerable knowledge of materials, methods, and equipment used in highway and bridge construction

HDR Engineering is looking for a BIM/CAD Specialist to join our SC Bridge and Structures Team in any of our four SC Offices (Charleston, Columbia, Greenville, and Fort Mill). In the role of Bridge BIM/CAD Specialist, we'll count on you to:
* Prepare detailed drawings, layouts and sketches for concrete and steel bridges, retaining walls and miscellaneous structures using computer-aided design software
* Develop details for complex concrete and steel bridges which may include: prestressed concrete, cast-in-place concrete, steel plate girder, segmental and cable-stayed, and box culvert
* Demonstrate ability to work independently with direction from supervisor and engineers
* Attention to detail is highly desirable
* Support Development of 3D Bridge Models
Specific duties are:
* Prepares engineering drawings of plans, elevations, cross sections and details of bridge structures from rough sketches and/or from general engineering design information according to established standards and procedures.
* Should be able to work under minimal supervision and be able to organize and perform tasks necessary to complete assigned projects successfully.
* Work within MicroStation and ProjectWise following internal or client driven CAD standards.
* Verify current client standard drawings are being used and current detailing and plan preparation manuals are utilized.
* Prepare bridge layout and bridge details with minimal supervision or as directed by the project engineers and designers.
* Detail plan sheets for retaining walls, sound walls, culverts, bridges, and other facilities for highway transportation projects.
* Set up project border files, reference (base) files, etc.
* Actively promotes and contributes to the successful completion of projects from initial concept, through the planning process to implementation.
* Compiles data and performs dimensional and routine calculations required for the preparation of drawings.
* Complete redlines for modification of existing plans and notes or preparation of new details or design elements with minimal direction from engineers.

About the Role:
As a Senior Roadway Engineer, you will take on a key role providing high-level technical expertise for roadway and highway design projects across South Carolina. Key Responsibilities:
Lead roadway and highway design efforts, including geometric design, alignments, typical sections, roadside safety, and maintenance of traffic (MOT) plans.
