**What We're Looking For** The time is right to join HNTB's growing Design-Build (DB) Organization! We are seeking a Senior Drainage Design Manager. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience leading teams on fast-paced transportation projects and have subject matter expertise in hydrology, hydraulics, and stormwater management.
This individual is a key team member, responsible for producing high-quality drainage deliverables on projects and pursuits and leading teams to achieve HNTB's 4 for 4 performance goals: delivering quality work on time, on budget, and to the client's satisfaction on every project.
This successful candidate will proactively manage the budget, schedule, technical requirements, contractual obligations, and client communications to support each project's objectives. Also, providing high-level technical direction while managing and reviewing design-related specifications, calculations, reports, and plans. Coordinates with internal and external partners to address and solve design-related problems and issues. The candidate will typically manage the drainage component for several mega ($5M to < $25M) or super mega (> $25M) projects.

**What You'll Do:**
+ Responsible for development of the project scope and fee quotation and assists in the preparation of technical proposals and contracts in accordance with HNTB's Sophisticated Contracting Approach (SCA).
+ Serves as the primary client liaison and manages the project team to deliver the scope, schedule, and budgets to completion and to the client's satisfaction. Leads client contract scoping and negotiations.
+ Performs technical discipline tasks including analysis, reports, design, specification, and production for assigned projects.
+ Implements the firm's project delivery plan using HNTB's Sophisticated Delivery Approach (SDA) on each project. Leads the development and the execution of the project management plan. Supervises and mentors team to overall project objectives.
+ Responsible for/oversees project staffing, including, but not limited to; recruitment, development, retention and succession of project staff; development of plan for project staff reporting; and support for performance and compensation reviews.
+ Partners with Client Service Leaders and pursuit champions to assist with business development, building client relationships, and pursuit efforts for mega and super mega projects in accordance with HNTB's Sophisticated Sales Approach (SSA). Works with the project team and marketing resources to prepare appropriate proposal and presentation materials. Leads proposal development and interview presentations for strategic, mini-mega or mega projects to the client as well as general presentations within the industry and community.
+ May be responsible for the recruitment, hiring, development and retention of staff, including development of plan for staff reporting, performance and compensation reviews, and succession.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.

+ Leading a drainage team for the delivery of design plans on complex transportation infrastructure projects
+ Leads project teams in the development of design modeling, calculations, plans, specs, and quality control.
+ Works with other disciplines to assure a fully integrated design.
+ Works with the project management team and contracting partners to ensure an efficient, constructable design.
+ Works with project managers, other discipline leads, and contracting partners to provide engineering to develop cost estimates and identify risks for job pursuits.
+ Develops scopes, fees, and work plans to execute projects on aggressive schedules.
+ Assigns tasks and directs the design to provide quality deliverables and meet project schedules.
+ Acts as a subject matter expert and provides senior review of designs, proposals, fee estimates, and scopes of work for projects nationwide.
+ Hydrology and hydraulics design of surface water runoff collection and conveyance systems, stormwater management design, open channel modeling, scour analysis, and mitigation measures.
+ Proficient with standard industry software (Microstation, InRoads Drainage, GEOPAK Drainage, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Storm CAD, HEC-RAS 1D & 2D, SWMM, PondPack, Culvert Master, Flow Master, etc.)
**What We Prefer:**
+ Master's degree in Engineering
+ 15+ years of relevant experience in the design of hydrology, hydraulics, and stormwater management on fast-paced transportation infrastructure projects, including progression to task and project management.
+ Professional Engineer (PE) certification, and the ability to obtain PE in multiple states
+ Excellent communication skills
+ Familiarity with construction methods and the ability to optimize designs accordingly.
+ Familiarity with permitting on the federal, state, and local levels.
+ CA PE preferred

Your Key Responsibilities
The Entry Level Hydrogeologist will be responsible for analyzing and communicating hydrologic and geologic data to provide insight into critical groundwater flow processes.
- Follow safe work practices and adhere to company and client guidelines and policies for planning and executing work in a safe manner.
- Develop conceptual and analytical hydrogeologic models.
- Support the development of numerical groundwater and unsaturated flow models.
- Develop new well designs for groundwater monitoring and groundwater production.
- Perform field investigations in support of hydrogeology studies including drilling, well construction, and testing oversight; groundwater sampling; and water level monitoring.
- Interpret aquifer tests, characterize aquifers based on maps and other spatial data, and perform spatial analysis using GIS tools.
- Prepare technical reports documenting field investigations and analytical results.
- Prepare and deliver presentations of hydrogeologic investigations to internal and external clients.
- Assist project managers with developing project budgets, determining project scope, and establishing project schedules

**Pay Range:**

As a Senior Electrical Estimator at Stantec, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and coordinating large electrical cost estimates. You will collaborate with a dynamic team of cost estimators, schedulers, and construction engineers in Stantec's construction engineering group. As a member of the ESR group, the individual will help identify and incorporate sustainability measures and approaches to make our projects more resilient to the ever-changing conditions with which our client's infrastructure must function. This senior-level consultant position mentor mid- and junior-level consultants, will provide direct support for activities related to ESR, project pursuits and project delivery to the practice firmwide.
The ideal candidate will have strong writing skills and an interest in providing a broad array of sustainability and resilience planning and implementation services. Demonstrated knowledge and experience implementing sustainability through the Institute of Sustainable Infrastructure's (ISI's) ENVISION rating system is important. Broad background knowledge and interests in energy, electrification, water, stormwater, wetlands, spill management, emerging, hazardous and non-hazardous materials and waste management, environmental compliance management systems and auditing programs is a plus. Interest or prior experience in developing proactive environmental programs, including operational sustainability, environmental restoration, and long-term adaptation and resiliency planning, is desired.
To be successful in this role, you must:
Have a bachelor's degree from an accredited program.
Minimum 15 years of applicable consulting experience.
Ability to mentor and help guide junior consultants.
Requires an accredited bachelor's or master's degree in environmental sciences / natural resources, environmental engineering, planning or related field.
Strong verbal, written and presentation skills.
Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Access, Excel and PowerPoint) and ESRI ArcGIS software is essential for use in completing assignments.
Ability to work in an independent but collaborative team environment and be highly responsive to client deadlines.

ENVISION Sustainability Professional (ENV SP)
Certification or certification-tracked by a professional society or a state regulatory board in the discipline of practice, if applicable. Certifications or registrations may include but are not limited to Certified Environmental Professional (C.E.P.), Certified Ecologist (C.E.), or registered Professional Engineer (PE - Civil/Environmental) or Professional Geologists (PG).

* Demonstrated experience with geologic logging of borings, monitoring well installations, and soil, surface water and groundwater sampling.
* Experience supporting remedial investigations, feasibility studies, and design activities.
* Strong technical writing skills.
* Self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team.
* Ability and willingness to travel. May require field work in remote areas.
* Prior experience with Colorado and Federal environmental regulations.
* Prior geological/hydrogeological experience around Colorado is a plus.
* OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER, First Aid/CPR and/or MSHA Certifications.
* Prior experience with environmental compliance including development of monitoring plans, data analysis, and reporting.
* Experience with working on CERLA Superfund Sites, abandoned/active mines, coordinating with State and Federal agencies.
* Familiarity with groundwater contouring software (e.g., Surfer)
* Experience sampling for contaminants such as PFAS, heavy metals, volatile organic compounds.
* Familiarity with Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments

In the role of Senior Engineer Sanitary, we'll count on you to:
* Independently create detailed designs, plans, specifications and estimates for pipelines, pump stations, treatment plants, tanks and other water and wastewater storage and conveyance systems
* Take responsibility for engineering/process design, project coordination, determining and writing engineering specifications, planning work, establishing appropriate design methods, report preparation and coordination, equipment sizing and selection, and working directly with the owner
* Establish new quality standards and value engineering solutions
* Conduct quality control reviews of completed designs
* Serve as a technical expert with recognized authority in area of water and wastewater systems
* Serve as a project manager on water/wastewater projects as needed
* Perform other duties as needed

Required Qualifications

* A minimum of 10 years experience with Municipal Water and Wastewater Systems Planning and Design
* Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.

* Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, MicroStation and hydraulic modeling software
