**What You'll Do:**
+ Works in conjunction with each Office Design Leader to coordinate and produce a consistently high quality design product achieving HNTB's 4 for 4 standards (Consistent delivery of quality work, on time, on budget and to the client's satisfaction on every project).
+ Instills a design culture of excellence by conducting regular project design reviews within all offices to ensure project design performance.
+ Leads the development and implementation of the activities of the National Design Committee.
+ Provides HNTB an active link to academia through studio and advisory council participation.
+ Represents HNTB at the national level within professional and design societies.
+ Works closely with Officers by representing design with strategic planning framework.
+ Assists Office Leaders in the hiring, supervision, development and evaluation of the design staff throughout the organization.
+ Actively participates in the development and presentation of pursuit strategies across all market sectors within the firm.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
**What You'll Need:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Planning as appropriate to the specific core practice and 15 years of experience in progressively responsible positions, ideally with a large, multi-discipline firm
+ 10 years' experience in design of complex projects

AECOM has an opening for an entry level Geologist in our Long Beach, California office to assist with a variety of projects including data management, site investigations and remediation.
This position is expected to begin in Spring 2026.
The successful candidate will assist with gathering and analyzing geological, hydrogeological and geochemical data in both the field and office settings. The field activities will consist of soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, air and soil vapor sample collection, geological logging and interpretation, and the oversight of subcontractors including laboratories and excavation and drilling companies. This opportunity entails being responsible for assisting with assigned departments and/or project(s) by performing basic architectural calculations and other routine architecture-related tasks which may reflect elements of standard post-secondary architectural curriculum, usually on a part-time, temporary, or co-op basis. This is an entry level training position and functions are performed under close supervision.
**What You'll Do:**
+ Performs elementary architectural assignments and works from designs of others.
+ Compiles data, performs basic computations and prepares working drawings on projects of limited scope. Assists in compiling data for architectural plans, specifications, cost estimates, reports, business development, etc.
+ Assists in conducting preliminary studies to obtain information as to space and design requirements, obtaining measurements and making sketches preliminary to the preparation of contract drawings.
+ Researches, gathers, and records information for use in writing specifications.
+ Performs basic analyses of design, planning and occupancy studies and limited design layouts.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

Experience in preparing life safety, fire suppression, and fire alarm / detection drawings.

Our Ontario, CA office is seeking a New Grad Civil Engineer to support our Highway department.
HNTB's Orange County Highway Department plays a key role in delivering innovative transportation infrastructure across Southern California. The team partners with regional agencies to lead complex highway and transit projects that improve mobility, safety, and connectivity. Known for its collaborative approach and technical excellence, the department supports impactful work that shapes the future of transportation in the region.
This opportunity entails being responsible for assisting in the production and modification of design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans and specifications for assigned projects. This position performs research, development, calculations, design and delivery in partnership with the project team. Applies engineering techniques, procedures and design criteria for projects ranging in size and complexity. Leverages technical knowledge to assist in the execution and evaluation of project designs. Develops conceptual and detailed designs and calculations to support the project execution using current drawing and technical tools, programs and software. As a member of the team, you will contribute to the successful project delivery for a diverse range of projects for HNTB's clients.
What You'll Do:
Completes assigned work within the schedule and number of hours provided.
Supports the preparation and modification of project reports, plans, designs, and calculations.
Assists in the preparation of project quantity and cost estimates.
Assists engineering teams with organization and administrative support of design files.
Supports engineering teams with various tasks and duties including but not limited to research, data collection, field investigations, development, and design of projects.
Performs other duties as assigned
What You'll Need:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
What You'll Bring:
Exhibits an understanding of engineering principles relevant to the discipline.
Attains knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with MicroStation and/or AutoCad or other software.

Master's degree in Engineering
Engineer in Training (EIT) certification
Knowledgeable in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
Strong interest in transportation and infrastructure

This opportunity entails being responsible for providing planning support from concept development through project completion including researching, gathering, and analyzing data, preparing project materials, and applying environmental laws and regulations, to ensure compliance on behalf of the client. The primary focus will include:
- GIS map development
- Analysis of demographic and environmental data
- Environmental report preparation in accordance with CEQA and NEPA requirements
- Calculating environmental impacts related to transportation projects
- Technical report development with emphasis on environmental resource(s)
- Technical writing and summarizing technical reports for environmental documentation
