To support these transformational initiatives, we need experienced Sr. Project Managers that will be responsible for ensuring these efforts are delivered on-time and on-budget, while also ensuring that the business value from each project is fully realized. Each Sr. Project Manager is usually assigned one to two major projects to manage concurrently. These are typically complex, multi-year, multi-million-dollar projects that require coordination across several departments and that require collaboration with senior- and executive-level leaders.
This is a 100% remote position. However, due to the nature of the projects, the Sr. Project Manager will be required to live within a 60-mile radius of Orange County so that they can come on site as needed.
Education - Bachelor's degree and at least 6 years of experience in project management OR High School Diploma/GED and at least 10 years of experience in project management
Management of Large, Complex Projects - experience serving as the accountable Project Manager for the full lifecycle (initiation through closure) of at least one project with a duration of at least 18 months, a budget of at least $5M, and a project team size of at least 20 people; demonstrated success delivering such projects on-time, on-budget, and with achievement of targeted business benefits; application of waterfall project management principles to align with the structure and rigor needed for such projects
Project Management Tools - intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Project, including baselining, critical path analysis, dependency relationship options, actuals tracking, variance reporting, and timeline summaries; intermediate proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite in order to create documents that present content in a compelling and professional format
Analytical & Critical Thinking - systematically gather and evaluation information to solve complex problems and make informed recommendations or decisions; decompose problems into smaller, manageable parts to identify patterns, trends, and cause-and-effect relationships; evaluate information objectively, question assumptions, and identify biases in order to form a well-reasoned conclusion
Attention to Detail - focus on the minute, specific aspects of an assignment or task to ensure thoroughness, accuracy, consistency, and high-quality results; leverage active listening and observations to capture both subtle cues and critical instructions; utilize organizational skills to ensure defined plans are followed and no steps are missed; adopt an inherent reflex for reviewing work, identifying inconsistencies, and correcting errors before final delivery
Communications - translate complex information into clear, actionable insights or guidance; tailor communications mediums and content to meet the objectives of the forum and the needs of the audience (from executives to front-line staff); share difficult information with key stakeholders in a timely and accurate manner that leads to effective resolution
Time Management - manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring due dates associated with each assigned project are met and that all assigned projects are completed successfully (i.e., on-time, on-budget, and realization of targeted benefits); proactively manage personal schedule and tasks to ensure work products are completed with a high level of quality and accuracy, sharing any delivery risk concerns with your immediate manager as soon as possible

Experience managing facility activations, including identifying, planning, and implementing the work needed to fully operationalize a construction project (e.g., staffing, workflows, supplies, technologies, policies & procedures, etc.)

The specific duties of the Sr. Project Manager role include:
Utilizing Hoag's Project Management Methodology, which is based on PMI standards, to facilitate comprehensive and accurate project initiation, planning, execution, and closeout

What You Will Do
