The Kirby Risk Distribution Trainee Program is a comprehensive 12 to 18-month program, which will include a combination of the following:
Coaching and Mentoring
On-the-Job Training (OJT)
Online Learning
Exposure to critical aspects of the Business and Industry: Branch Operations, Distribution Services, Corporate Functions, Sales, and Manufacturer Training and Products
Project and Customer Site Visits
Upon completing the KR Distribution Trainee program, you will fill a role in Branch Operations, Project Management, or Sales.
What will I be doing as a Distribution Trainee?
Acquiring methods of maximizing branch profitability through the budget process and management of P&L statements
Developing and maintaining relationships at all levels of the Kirby Risk Supply and Distribution Business
Cultivating a strategy to provide customer service excellence internally and externally, embodying the Kirby Risk Values and Principles
Participating in project-based work assignments
Developing a methodology to complete product training and manufacturing training
Facilitating an environment of continuous process improvement
Acquiring knowledge to review and resolve complex internal and external customer problems
A Capstone Project will be required to complete the Distribution Trainee Program.

College degree or equivalent work experience
Solid analytical capabilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as presentation skills
Demonstrated interpersonal communication, customer contact skills, and the ability to interact with people at all levels of the organization
Ability to handle multiple tasks/priorities and successfully meet several deadlines at once while maintaining attention to detail and organization
Notable computer skills and aptitude; Microsoft Office Suite preferred
Be goal-oriented, credible, a responsive team player who is forward-thinking
Be collaborative, consultative, self-directed, empathetic, and can work independently
Possess the ability to perform and retain various skill-related tasks, training, and operations

8 to 5, Monday through Friday, with occasional travel, overnight travel limited
