RESPONSIBILITIES:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Intermediate knowledge of Building Information Modeling or Computer Aided Drafting, with a focus in engineering, is preferred.
Candidates who have completed Revit Structural coursework and are familiar with most drawing aids and techniques (i.e., modeling, editing, and dimensioning) are preferred.

Partner with Design Managers to provide coordination and administrative support through project phases including Project Start-Up Tasks, Contract/Proposal Assistance, and Construction Administration.
Liaise between Design Managers, Project Accountants and In-House Counsel to incorporate comments into contracts, ensure contract fees are up to date, and project financials are accurate.
Utilize project management tools to increase efficiency for both Design Managers and the studio; this includes entering and updating staffing and revenue plans, creating project schedules, and using data management software to identify areas of improvement
Be a go to resource in your studio on how to understand, meet, and exceed project-related metrics (staffing and revenue plan completion, contract signage, resilience and sustainability metrics)
General project assistance such as supplementary project research, meeting notes, updating project profiles, and other miscellaneous tasks to improve the project quality and delivery process
Business Development Support
Interface and coordinate with Marketing on pursuits and collateral creation; proactively track milestones and deadlines for RFP submissions.
Provide rapid response to requests from clients; over-deliver on request to exceed client expectations.
Identify touch points to grow client relationships and execute on those ideas (i.e. quarterly client outreach via Salesforces; quarterly account reviews).
Provide marketing support to business development champions within the studio, which may include initiating a marketing budget, conducting research on target and prospective clients, entering data into Salesforce, supporting presentation creation, and coordinating project data updates on the Gensler Intranet working with Knowledge Management.
Administrative Support
Provide administrative support for Studio Leader, including calendar management, travel arrangements, and managing expenses.
When needed, assist Studio Leaders with targeted calendar management, booking travel, managing expenses, and tracking professional credentials.
Provide back-up to other Studio Coordinators and/or front desk reception; liaise with Office Services and IT Team.
Be a resource to studio members with questions about “how to _____.” Help network to the right people to find answers (IT, Atlanta Admin, and other shared services).

Your Qualifications

The Business Class Leader (BCL) is a professional that is well versed in all aspects of Business Class (BC) services for pump stations and pipeline projects and leads a group of business class professionals. Given the current backlog of conveyance work and upcoming opportunities for continued growth, we have an immediate need to fill this BC position.
The duties of the Pump Station and Pipelines BCL are to plan, direct and oversee all aspects of large-scale multi-discipline and multi-benefit projects with a high degree of technical complexity. The position will build and maintain client relations and participate in project development and contract document preparation. The person will work with senior, mid- and junior-level staff across a variety of disciplines. The position will participate in and provide oversight of a variety of project types including planning, design, inspection and construction management of pump station and pipelines and general site civil of major water, wastewater and reclaimed water infrastructure.

Primary Responsibilities

As a BE Designer III, you will:
Demonstrate advanced knowledge of project complexity to proactively contribute to the overall success of the team by adhering to firm and project goals and standards of excellence in design, execution, and living design.
Exhibit advanced understanding of branding concepts (including interior architecture, print graphics, environmental graphics, signage and way finding) and their integration in the built environment.
Provide design support to team members and supports the growth of others.
Execute design plans, design strategy, storytelling, color plans, and schedules.
Develop plan diagrams, sections, and elevations.
Influence and manipulates design elements and applies principles of design such as form, scale, color, texture, pattern, balance, and proportion.
Develop, prepare, and coordinate presentation materials and models and leads client presentations.
Participate in site analysis, including survey of existing conditions and field measurements.
Implement a creative approach to complete tasks and responsibilities on projects, within the scope of schedule and budget, in an organized, timely, and consistent way.
Review work for accuracy, omissions, legibility, and for document compliance in accordance with the Project Delivery Manual.
Express curiosity about the world of design and the industry at large.
Take increasing ownership on tasks within project teams and studio activities.
Participate in design reviews, charettes, and pin-ups.
Keep open communication within team and with designated team leader.
Coordinate effectively with partners and consultants.
To join us, you should have:
A degree in interior design, architecture, graphic design, or other related discipline
Proficient in 2D/3D production software, including Revit (intermediate), Rhino, and Grasshopper for conceptual modeling
Experienced with visualization tools like Enscape, VRay, and advanced Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
Skilled in physical modeling (3D printing, laser cutting) and presentation tools
Familiar with Vector Astor, Phantasm, and CAD plug-ins like Sign Agent
LEED GA within 6 months of hire
Professional Accreditation in one area of Living Design that interests you: LEED AP with Specialty, BREEAM AP, WELL AP, SITES AP, Passive House Institute Certified Passive House Consultant/Designer CPHC/CPHD, ILFI Living Future Accreditation or RELi AP.
