The Interior Design Professional will contribute to a collaborative, integrated design practice and provide support to project teams across multiple phases of design and documentation while building technical, design, and professional skills. Responsibilities Support project teams through all phases of project delivery, from concept design through construction documentation. Modify and prepare production drawings during the design development phase. Develop solutions to basic technical and design challenges with guidance from Interior Designers and other project team members. What You Will Be Challenged to Do GFT is seeking a strategic, forward-thinking Corporate Insurance Manager to lead the design, placement, and management of all corporate insurance programs (excluding employee benefits) and to play a critical, enterprise-wide role in organizational risk management. This is a unique opportunity for an insurance professional with strong AEC experience and a deep understanding of project-specific risks-both traditional design-bid-build and alternative delivery (P3, CM/GC, design-build, progressive design-build). Enterprise & Project Risk Management * Serve as a key contributor to the company's Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program, identifying emerging risks and recommending strategies to manage or transfer them. * Participate as a core member of the APD Risk Committee, advising on project, insurance, and contractual risk for alternative delivery pursuits. * Partner with Safety, HR, Finance, and operational leadership to assess enterprise-level risks and align insurance strategies with broader risk governance. Contracts, Risk Transfer & Client Requirements * Educate contract reviewers on insurance and risk provisions in client contracts, subconsultant agreements, and teaming arrangements. * Assess and advise on complex client insurance requirements and develop practical, insurable alternatives. * Provide expertise in structuring project-specific placements and risk-transfer mechanisms. * Collaborate with Legal during negotiations, including providing recommendations for insurability and risk allocation. * Respond to internal and external inquiries on complex certificate of insurance matters * Maintain and enhance standard insurance language in contract templates. Loss Control & Internal Collaboration * Coordinate with broker/insurer teams and internal risk and safety staff to implement risk reduction strategies. * Support subcontractor prequalification and compliance with insurance requirements. * Develop and deliver training on insurance, risk management, and claims processes for project managers and operations teams. * Work closely with risk and operations personnel on project risk assessments, insurance adequacy, and internal risk reporting. HDR is looking for a project manager whose experience focuses on client development and delivery of large, complex projects. The ideal candidate should have a proven background in successfully delivering various Healthcare, Civic, Sports, Transportation, Aerospace, and/or Commercial Real Estate projects ranging from upfront planning and pre-design activities through detail design, construction support and commissioning. In addition to managing and delivery projects (which is the primary focus of this role), the successful candidate must possess the drive, experience and charisma needed to develop and secure work from a robust global client base and expand upon HDR's reputation within these markets. This individual will manage multi-disciplinary design teams from project conception to completion. Keen focus on organizational skills and follow-through are required to be successful in this role. This person will work closely with the Regional Building Engineering Services Business Group Managers as well as our global client management team. Some travel to client sites or other HDR offices is required. In the role of Project Manager, we'll count on you to: * Direct and coordinate work of single or multidiscipline teams throughout the project's lifecycle (from development and initiation to close-out) * Responsible for all aspects of complex small to medium projects or routine large projects * Produce and coordinate several small to medium projects concurrently * Establish and maintain client relations, and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings * Conduct work sessions for deliverable development in conjunction with other staff and stakeholders * Coordinate staffing and workload through entire project life cycle, and ensure completion of deliverables on schedule * Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to budget and schedule * Work with the Accounting, Operational and Business leadership for periodic project reviews * Implement QA/QC procedures * Supervise large project staffs and act as mentor for less-experienced Project Managers * 10-20% Travel to project sites, including international if needed * Control project budget, scope, and schedule * Forecasting, Invoicing and contract management * Create vital proposal content including scope, schedule and budget * Perform other duties as needed Preferred Qualifications * Working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Newforma, Procore, BIM360 Docs, BIM360 Field, and Bluebeam * Demonstrated experience in working with multi-disciplined teams of Architects, Engineers, and Designers. * Professional Engineering (PE) license * PMP certification * Masters degree * Excellent organizational, project management, and communication (both written and verbal) skills. * Availability to frequently travel locally to project locations (~50%) and regional sites as needed ( * Active in area industry associations * Healthcare, Science and Technology, Data Center facilities, Aviation and other mass transportation facilities, and/or Aerospace experience * Preference given to local candidates #LI-MV3 Required Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Engineering * 7 years related experience * A minimum 2 years project management experience * Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Primary Responsibilities In the role of Facility Construction Inspector II, we'll count on you to: * Demonstrate familiarity with a broad spectrum of construction materials, methods and processes for buildings and facilities * Conduct inspection of electrical, mechanical/HVAC and site civil * Collaborate with other field representatives or Project Managers * Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, and identify discrepancies or conflicts within documents * Conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses * Provide guidance to less-experienced field staff as needed * Conduct or Coordinate field materials sampling and testing, including concrete slump and air testing, casting concrete test cylinders, and performing in-place soil compaction testing * Compose reports with a daily log of activities, personnel, and pictures to send to clients daily. * Work may require 50% to 100% travel to meetings, site visits, and inspections outside of the Kansas City area. * Possibility for Long term project assignments. * Work outdoors and navigate construction sites in all seasons * Perform other duties as needed Preferred Qualifications * Licensed to operate motor vehicles in accordance with applicable state law * Technical school or college degree * Relevant industry certifications * Ability to interpret construction schedules * General accounting knowledge * Familiarity with collaboration products such OneDrive, MS Teams, and OneNote * PDF editing software such as Revu Bluebeam or Adobe * Strong written communication skills * Eager to Learn and Ask Questions and Perform new duties as needed under supervision * Exhibit professionalism with clients * Exercise good judgment and discretion, and independently resolve problems and issues * Utilize survey equipment to check and confirm construction Required Qualifications * Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
