POSITION SUMMARY
The Substance Use Counselor is responsible and accountable for the delivery of contracted substance use disorder services in the facilities within the Navajo County Detention Center. Primary duties include the screening and assessment of substance use disorders, assessment of appropriateness for residential treatment and implementation/oversight of a residential substance use program. The Substance Use Counselor will also work with designated Navajo County Reentry Staff to assist in coordination of aftercare services in the community.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Reviews intake screening of patients and assesses potential readiness and appropriateness for referral to the residential substance use disorder (SUD) program. Works with county staff to determine placement into the SUD program.
2. Reviews referrals received from healthcare providers, medical staff, programs staff and security staff to determine severity of need.
3. Completes screening tools for particular substance use disorders as needed.
4. Conducts assessment with referred patients to gauge the severity of an individual's substance use and provides a comprehensive overview of an individual's addiction-related issues.
5. Provides group therapy services focused on treatment and management of substance use disorders.
6. Coordinates the SUD Program within the Navajo County Detention Center. Ensures all tasks associated with continuity and induction MOUD services are effectively scheduled and completed:
o Screening
o Consent for participation
o Medical clearance
o Lab work and drug screening
o Inmate-Patient readiness assessment
o Group therapy
o Individual therapy, as needed
o Personal or self-help study

10. Obtains patient signatures on any refusals for SUD services.

Job Description
UL Solutions, will be installing a solar monitoring system (SMS) near Holbrook, AZ on behalf of one of our Clients. The station occupies 650ft2 and consists of a solar panels, (2) 7-foot tripods, and scientific measurement equipment surrounded by a locked chain link fence. The station will be monitoring the solar irradiance as well as other meteorological and weather-related parameters.
The station requires weekly maintenance, on the same day each week during daylight hours to ensure consistent and accurate data is being collected for a minimum of 1 year and maximum of 2 years. Your duties will include the following:
Uphold highest level of communication as first point of contact for equipment in field;
Ensure all equipment is level & clean on a weekly basis;
Provide troubleshooting (w/support from UL Solutions) and when requested, repair(s) for low-medium complexity issues;
Ensure there is no debris obstructing the system (depending on site/region, grass cutting, snow removal, or clearing brush); and
Confirm the system is secure and hasn't been tampered with.
Each maintenance visit should take 60-90 minutes. UL Solutions requires a weekly excel logbook uploaded via internet along with photos and other documentation to support the visit which should take 45-90 minutes. The entire process is estimated to require between 2-4 hours each week, including travel time to and from site.
Occasionally, UL Solutions may request your assistance in replacing or troubleshooting equipment. A Senior Engineer would contact you to walk you through the process. They will support you while onsite and review data after the equipment repair.
Qualifications
No solar experience is required. Training will be provided remotely via phone and video, potential onsite training when possible.
Must be able to take instruction remotely throughout length of contract term.
Must use own transportation to and from remote SMS location. The SMS is located on undeveloped lands accessed via unpaved roads, so 4WD/AWD vehicle will be required
Willing/able to walk to and from site, typically no more than ¼ mile in one direction.
Required to climb and work comfortably from a 6 or 8-foot ladder (provided).
Required maintenance of equipment utilizing levels, screwdriver, and other hand tools (provided).
Must have demonstrated computer literacy with reliable internet. Must have ability to upload before and after photos with proper naming conventions to our SharePoint website.
A smart phone is required to take site photos as well as to communicate with UL Solutions' staff while on site in an event of an emergency, etc. Laptop or desktop CPU is recommended for weekly uploads.

Interprets design/drawings for Superintendents and Foreman in the field as required. Coordinates with the Project Manager and Site Supervision to resolve drawing interpretation issues, conflicts, interferences, and errors.
