Job DescriptionSenior Material HandlerLocation: Bridgeville, DelawareSchedule: Varies. Must have open availability Pay Rate: $16.25 an hour The role of the Senior Material Handler is to organize, sort and redistribute all incoming merchandise to ensure safe and clean working environment using machinery as necessary. May also serve as back-up to Team Lead in their absence. In addition, to serving as back-up to Transportation if holding current driver's license and a clean driving record.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES: Follow safety policies and procedures ensuring maximum safety, security, and protection of all customers and company assets. Responsible to fulfill and assist with all production and donation functions. Certified Forklift operator and Certified to operate Bale/Recycling Machinery. Ability to serve as back-up to Team Lead in their absence. Perform baling functions such as operations of equipment designated to create bales, stack bales, and load bales on truck. Ability to sort textile from hard goods and miscellaneous items, distinguish between quality merchandise and recyclable commodities and trash, maintain continuous flow of materials to achieve production goals, price merchandise according to company guidelines, and stock merchandise by classification on the sales floor. Perform housekeeping functions that ensure that workstation, production and/or donation area, and sales floor are kept neat, clean, and organized. Ensure maximum customer satisfaction. Work cooperatively with all consumers, community groups, co-workers, and subordinates to promote the achievement of the company mission. Assist with loading and unloading trucks, using proper techniques and equipment to prevent any damage when handling the merchandise. Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates. Attend meetings, training sessions and committee team activities as required. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred, along with a minimum of 6-12 months related experience and/or training. Essential Job Responsibilities: * Make initial and ongoing material deliveries to job site using company vehicle * Daily cleanup of job sites when job is scheduled to last multiple days * Perform thorough final clean ups of the jobsite including trash pick-up and property walk around * Gather unused material from job site * Receive and organize materials delivered to the warehouse by outside vendors * Maintain clean and orderly appearance of the warehouse * Load and prepare vehicles for next day's deliveries * Return unused material to vendor when needed * Keep delivery vehicles stocked with needed supplies including refueling at the end of a shift Hours: 6am-10am Monday-Friday

Position Responsibilities Receives incoming materials, checking packing slips against actual merchandise received. Inspects materials for obvious defects, solving related problems and notifies supervisor as necessary. Stock shelves and ensuring materials are in their designated area. Pulls materials from warehouse shelves to fill current orders, back orders, inter-branch transfers and will call orders. Identify correct quantity and customer specifications. Utilize RF guns for picking and packing. Packs and ships materials in designated cartons per customer order and department procedures. Assists with loading and unloading trucks. Assists customers with pipe purchases. Cuts wire for counter, will call, and other specific sales orders to meet the customers specifications. Check email and trackers daily for time sensitive company information. Posts purchase orders via RF and other related data into the computer system. This is a Safety Sensitive Position May be required to operate powered industrial trucks. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. several times a day, bend, twist, and climb.
