Summary/Objective:Take ownership of the assembly process, meticulously assembling fabricated parts, wiring components, and fine-tuning subassemblies to create fully functional units that meet customer specifications. Essential Functions: Assemble fabricated parts, wiring and adjusting subassemblies to complete units. Perform testing and quality assurance as assigned. Receive, pull, and cycle count department inventory as assigned. Effectively calibrate and test parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications. Use hand tools when necessary. Pack finished product in designated cartons per customer order and department procedures. Perform all functions of the job by correctly following instructions and pre-established guidelines and procedures. Maintain a safe, orderly, and efficient assembly area. Work closely with the warehouse, combining individual efforts to better serve the customer. When the assembly area is slow, provide support in the warehouse reporting to the warehouse supervisor. Perform well under pressure and follow instructions in a repetitive environment to meet production deadlines. Must work extended hours to meet delivery needs as needed. Perform other duties as obvious or assigned. This is a Safety Sensitive Position May be required to operate powered industrial trucks. Objective The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for all maintenance activities on shift, ensuring that equipment and systems are in optimal working condition. This is a newly opened facility that recently moved operations from our previous site. All equipment has been newly installed. Schedule: 8-hour shift Monday-Friday on 2nd or 3rd shift (Overtime possible on off-shifts or weekends); 2nd shift: 2 pm - 10:30 pm or 3rd shift: 10 pm - 6:30 am Initial training will be on day shift Must be available to work on an on-call basis Day To Day Responsibilities: Inspect machines, develop repair lists, and identify short-term and long-term repairs so that machines run correctly. Complete assigned preventive maintenance tasks to maintain production flow. Respond swiftly to equipment breakdowns and allocate resources for quick repairs. Document and communicate repairs and parts used. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on a variety of equipment (one production line from blending to packaging, with some redundancy). Essential Functions Production Equipment Maintenance: Perform maintenance and repair on all production equipment. Review and fulfill work orders promptly. Provide recommendations for equipment replacement when necessary. Perform basic repairs as needed on building support equipment (Air Compressors, HVAC systems, lighting, water systems, vacuum pump, etc). Provide training to staff on how to operate and maintain equipment. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards in all maintenance activities, including waste disposal and emissions. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and enhanced equipment reliability, and implement these changes as appropriate. Other Responsibilities: Assist various departments (R&D, Engineering, Front Office, and Lab) with mechanical tasks. Install new equipment, make repairs, and upgrade existing equipment. Ensure that all equipment meets safety requirements before transitioning it to production. Respond to all building-related security / safety features Self-Starter: you will often find yourself working unsupervised, so taking ownership of your quality and speed of work is essential when conducting preventative maintenance or addressing equipment failure. Education and Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years proven experience as a Maintenance technician or similar role in a manufacturing environment. High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or trade qualifications are a plus. Strong knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and control systems. Must be able to read electrical and mechanical drawings. Effective problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Basic computer skills (Microsoft office). Familiarity with ERP or CMMS software (like SAP or FIIX) is a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented with good analytical & troubleshooting skills Manual dexterity & ability to lift 50 lbs. This position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment and building repair in a multifamily housing environment. - Ability to work with and repair drywall and paint drywall surfaces. - Perform basic maintenance tasks and general repairs including plumbing, roofing, appliance moving and repair. - Maintain common areas and grounds of the property. - Must be able to access and inspect property grounds by way of climbing ladders, stairwells, rooftops, confined areas, etc. - Perform troubleshooting, repairs and preventative maintenance, renovating and preparing vacant units to move in condition, outdoor grounds maintenance and property appearance. - Candidates must possess basic hand tools, valid drivers license and have their own transportation. - Maintains building, performing routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities as needed.
