Essential Duties and Responsibilities + Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit. + Cultivates a culture in accordance with the Flynn Applebee's Premier Card of our core values and beliefs. + Ensures the immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and staff. + Ensures guest contact as a priority with completion of required table visits established by Flynn Applebee's standards. + Maintains departmental inventory levels. + Ensures product preparation and presentation uncompromisingly meeting company standards by performing line checks. + Effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands. + Maintains effective safety and security programs. + Promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness and sanitation. + Performs routine maintenance and immediately reports to the General Manager/Area Director of needed repairs. + Promotes quality recruitment and referrals of potential team member and management candidates. + Promotes Flynn | Applebee's training procedures for new managers. + Helps maintain a trained staff through effective use of employment orientation, individual training sessions, employee meetings and implementation of company policy and training systems. + Participates in the constant development of employees using One-on-One and performance documentation, and contributes to the completion of written evaluations. + Assesses the efficiency of employees, provides fair feedback on a regular basis, and continuously works with employees on their areas of development. + Monitors acceptable employee performance and documents situations that require or could lead to disciplinary or corrective action. + Assures compliance with company policies, practices and procedures. + Responsible for controlling cost in assigned department. + Compliance with local, state and federal laws, regulations and guidelines. + Drives bi-weekly / weekly food and liquor inventories at the AD/GM's request and is accountable for completion. + Responsible for preparing and submitting accurate daily paperwork. + Assures sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department and Flynn Applebee's standards. + Provides a role model for managers and employees. + Develops self on all store related technology. + Must be willing and able to work in all positions and assist in a team member position as needed when in a restaurant. This includes cooking on the line, expo, seating guests, bartending, etc. + Uses the Management Development Program for continuous growth of leadership skills and proficiencies. Education and Experience + At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience + Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol Certifications also a plus Physical Standards: Must have the ability to: + Work various shifts ranging in hours, including weekends. + Stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to ten (10) hours in length. + Safely lift pots, pans, glassware, boxes, etc. up to 50 pounds in weight. + Read and write to facilitate communication.
