Job Summary: The Manufacturing Associate is responsible for loading component parts into and operating Plasma/Oxy Cut, Shear, Press, and Roll Equipment. In addition, the Manufacturing Associate will perform basic painting and light assembly.

Essential Functions:

Performs basic quality checks, checking and replacement of process consumables, and the safe loading and removal of parts from process equipment, de-slagging/cleaning of parts, and orienting/preparing parts for the next process station
Performs basic setup and utilize plasma and Oxy CNC cut machines to produce “Burn to Shape” / cut parts, loading component parts to Plasma, Oxy Cut, Shear, Press and Roll equipment
Assists with preparing components or products for paint including any preassembly, washing, masking, and staging
Learns and performs light assembly of components
Transports of materials can involve overhead cranes, jibs, forklifts, carts, magnets, and other devices · Performs basic conformance verification (inspection) of completed work to specification prior to movement to next station
Performs basic processes as outlined in Standard Work developing consistency between shifts and areas
Communicates and reports all quality defects defined by engineering specifications or manufacturing engineering in-process specifications
Performs basic performance of equipment through regular operator checks and processes (Operator Performed Maintenance - OPM)
Learns performs and maintains the performance of equipment and work area through regular operator checks and maintenance resulting in operational equipment and work areas in good, clean and orderly condition (Sort, Set, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain)
Participates in Rapid Improvement Workshops (RIWs) and Kaizen events to continuously improve processes, safety, and quality
Adheres to contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations
Assists with quality inspections, complete reports/documents and any other necessary paperwork and enforces required rework before the customer
Works overtime as required by workload and customers' needs
Requires regular and punctual employee attendance
Performs other duties as assigned

HOLT CAT in Waco, Texas is seeking a Field Service Paving Machine Mechanic with at least 2 years of paving construction equipment repair experience and an acceptable driving record. The Field Service Paving Technician travels throughout the Northern Region to provide face-to-face service to our customers located at off- and on-site locations and is responsible for the inspection, troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and reconditioning of paving construction equipment.
Essential Functions:
Performs repairs and troubleshooting offsite with minimal supervision
Performs troubleshooting and diagnoses of equipment malfunctions and failures
Removes and installs parts, disassembles and assembles components, and tests and adjusts assemblies
Repairs and/or replaces components according to CAT standards
Tests and verifies proper operation of all repairs and adjustments
Prepares and completes all job-related documents, writes service reports, orders parts, and maintains clear customer records; in addition, accesses databases required to complete the job (work order, parts order, Vision Link, DBS, SimsSI, SIS web)
Operates equipment and vehicles with possession of all necessary licenses and certificates• Maintains service vehicle inspection records, daily inspections, and driver logs as required by the Department of Transportation
Adheres to contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations
Maintains all company equipment, tools, and vehicles in good, clean, and working order
Communicates job progress to supervisor and customer as needed
Complete assigned jobs and tasks to meet/exceed flat rate times and re-do metric standards
Works overtime as required by workload and customers' needs
Completes all assigned Technician Training Path courses and safety training in a timely and proficient manner
Projects professionalism with both internal and external customers, including personal appearance
Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
Requires regular and punctual employee attendance
Performs other duties as assigned

Essential Functions:
Identifies, organizes, labels tool room inventory to assure accurate input into computerized database.
Maintains tools in branch inventory to assure safe and serviceable condition and availability for use.
Processes tools from inventory into work orders and returns them to inventory after use by service technicians.
Records tool information into computerized database on an on-going basis.
Inspects, cleans, and repairs, (or makes arrangement for the repair of) tools after return from service technicians before returning them to inventory.
Analyzes new product introduction information and recommends procurement of tooling needed to support Caterpillar and allied product in the Holt Cat service territory.
Reviews tool budget and records to maintain awareness of costs associated with providing tooling while assuring best usage of company financial resources.
