A Lead Machinist can troubleshoot and correctly diagnose even the most complex machining requirements. Works as a leader of a team to provide mechanical services that satisfies customer needs and achieves departmental goals. Primarily responsible for establishing production goals, supervising, training and evaluating service employees to ensure that work is performed in support of company's department goals. Lead position - Generally has more than 10 yrs of experience and/or demonstrated job relevant knowledge/skills. This position will quote jobs, break down prints and procedures to build a material list, order material and provide training to other team members. In addition to removal, installation, and the repair of heavy equipment components, including undercarriage. The incumbent in this position shall model the following practices daily: 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal/external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self-development. Essential Functions: Models, promotes, and reinforces the consistent use of HOLT's Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission. Performs all aspects of welding (FCAW, SMAW and GTAW, fabricating, cutting, line boring and is very mechanically inclined and can remove, repair, and install all components associated with the repairs in a field or shop environment with no direct supervision.
