As a Uwill Counselor you will be offering teletherapy sessions by video, phone, or chat message to students at our partner institutions. This is a 1099 independent contractor role with flexible scheduling. Essential Job Functions: Manage an on-going caseload of clients from initial session to graduation from care. Conduct video, telephone, or chat sessions with students. Utilize evidence-based practices and SMART goals tailored to student needs. Practice culturally competent care to meet the needs of a diverse client base including but not limited to: first-time therapy seekers, BIPOC students, LGBTQ+ students, first-generation students, veterans, and athletes. LPC/LMHC, LCSW/LICSW, LMFT or PsyD) Master's degree in a relevant field. 2 years of experience providing therapy in a telehealth setting using a variety of modalities. Professional liability insurance. HIPAA compliant professional and secure location to perform sessions. Ability to provide sessions via Zoom on a computer or device that has a camera and microphone. Special Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities: Excellent interpersonal, and listening communication skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, critical-thinking skills, use of sound judgment. Proven ability to relate effectively to a wide variety of people of various ages and backgrounds, student developmental needs, nationality, culture, faith/religion, language difference, ability differences, sexual orientation, gender identity, or expression. Possess the ability to work with a wide range of individuals presenting mental health concerns across broad levels of acuity including first-time therapy seekers.
