This role follows a 1st shift schedule, working from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with designated days off on Saturday and Sunday.
The Ready to Heat (RTH) Machine Operator's primary responsibility is to safely operate, monitor, and clean Kitchen and Assembly equipment to ensure continuous production flow. When machine operation is not necessary or all machine-related tasks are complete, the operator will complete other production tasks as assigned, including supporting the organization of the RTH Drop Zone. The operator is responsible for performing tasks according to standard operating procedures (SOP) and best practices.
Detailed Responsibilities
Operate and Monitor Equipment
Always keep safety first while using all equipment.
Must be trained on RTH machinery (e.g., MAP machines, metal detectors, ovens, etc.) and be able to operate the equipment safely.
Follow instructions from the Lead Operator to control and adjust basic machine settings.
Monitor equipment output to spot visible machine-related mistakes or flaws and report them immediately to the Lead Operator.
Safely start, operate, and be able to lock out a piece of equipment.
Complete Equipment Cleaning and Basic Operator Checks
Perform required cleaning tasks as per SOP, such as cleaning MAP sensors.
Perform visual inspections on all machinery and report any issues or variances to the Lead Operator.
Follow the Lead Operator's guidance on documenting machine settings.
Maintain RTH Drop Zone
Assist in maintaining the organization of the drop zone.
Communicate supply needs for ingredients or packaging items to the Lead Operator.
Follow instructions for tagging and communicating with Warehouse on items no longer needed.
Safety & General Responsibilities
Follow all Lock Out Tag Out procedures and refrain from using a machine when locked or tagged out.
Follow all procedures for the safe operation of machinery.
Follow the facility GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) and support the company's food safety system (SQF).
General Responsibilities:

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the warehouse team for their shift, ensuring that each required task is executed and conducted properly and safely. Supervision of Core Warehouse Functions
The Warehouse Supervisor must demonstrate proficiency in all warehouse functions and processes and ensures compliance with standard procedures on a daily basis. Receiving:

Assesses efficiency of receiving activities and works with receivers and putaway team to improve efficiency and workflow when tasks are not being completed at expected pace.
Issuing Product to Production:
Ensures full utilization of WMS for product moves to and from the production / shipping floor.
Familiarizes themselves with all trackers and inventory items to be able to verify production needs and provide guidance to team on correct product
Stays abreast of e-mails and other forms of communication directing changes to products required for production as a result of product shorts, delivery delays, or quality issues. Supervisor is expected to communicate to warehouse team in a timely manner to preclude errors or production stops.
Ensures warehouse drop list is utilized to pull product for the production floor
Ensures product is placed in the correct quantity and location on floor per WMS and follows up when not meeting expectation
Upholds standard procedures for staging product in coolers and freezers when applicable
Must be able to read boxing call-out sheet and distinguish which meats are assigned to meals to clarify for the team and audit processes.
Works with warehouse lead to ensure team is making progress against task list
Works in collaboration with production management to problem solve when warehouse team responsibilities impact production efficiency
Conducts end of shift walkthrough to make sure that end of shift clean up duties have been completed and that all items are returned to the designated locations by assignment and temperature before leaving for the day. This requires a recap to be documented and communicated to all of the warehouse team.
Conduct audits of storage to ensure putback process adhered to by team.
Shipping:
Conducts check of pallet shipping sheet and the admin shipping list to verify documentation for cases shipped has been properly completed and all cases scanned in facility
Coordinates with logistics provider to manage pick-ups; accurate loading for outbounds via “Outbound Trailer Scheduler”
Ensures standard processes for tagging, storage, and loading of outbound pallets are followed
Verifies all special out-bounds, such as transfers, to ensure accuracy of load and all documentation is uploaded per SOP
Audits load sheets completed by the loaders to ensure accuracy
Communicates all doors remaining for pick up per recap and/or dock log. Ensures all corresponding BOLs are completed and uploaded if picked up. If still pending pickup, ensure the load sheet and BOL are prepared and left for the oncoming shift.
Logs all trailers pick up in pallet shipping sheets and ensures uploaded to file for reference.
Ensure hourly dock checks are completed so no truck is left behind or misses dock out. Escalate and Communicate any issues to logistics and/or manager for follow-up.
Supervision of Warehouse Personnel
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for leading the warehouse team on their shift. Supervisory responsibilities include but are not limited to:

This role follows a 1st shift schedule, working from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with designated days off on Friday and Saturday.
Decanter will own and manage all product coming out of the blast chiller in proper documentation before it is used in production or stored in WIP. The Decanter is required to manage all product as it is rolled out of the blast chiller, organized, weighted, labeled, and stored properly. While managing the product they are responsible for managing the WIP racks and area to ensure all product is clearly labeled, has a detailed home, and is updated as the ship week goes on.

Decanter will ensure all materials that are required for proper decanting are available and ready for use before each shift as well as manage and maintain equipment

Organize all speed racks as they come out of the blast chiller by item and meal to ensure proper decanting documentation
Maintain WIP Racks and Sauce bay:
Ensure racks for storing decanted product is maintained and organized to flow with production
Decanters are required to ensure that all labeling for sauces is correct, that each pan is covered with a lid, and that they are placed in the designated area that is marked for sauces by the site
Each end of shift all racks are decanted and area is cleared for the following shift or day to successfully start.
SafetyChain CCP and Inventory Training
Decanter is required to be SafetyChain Trained to take and verify CCPs as well as fill out the inventory form of tote weight for each tote that is created when decanting.
Decanter is required to be trained on using Ops Apps to submit and maintain inventory records
Decanter to utilize both SafetyChain and Ops Apps to audit current inventory.

This role follows a night shift schedule, working from 6:00 PM to 4:30 AM, with designated days off on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
A Production Associate is responsible for labeling, portioning, meal bagging/kitting, and shipping while adhering to all floor safety and food safety standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Detailed Responsibilities
Labeling, Portioning, & Meal Bagging
Must be able to receive direction from Supervisor or Production Lead to fulfill production requirements
Must label packaging at the standard average rate
Must know how to use proper measuring utensils to portion ingredients
Must have strong attention to detail while picking ingredients in the meal bagging/kitting process
Must be able to visually inspect produce
Ability to transition between tasks when needed
Shipping
Must work at a fast pace with strong attention to detail

A Production Lead is scheduled to begin their shift prior to the start of production and is responsible for obtaining their production plan and targets for the day from the supervisor and setting up the portioning tables, meal bagging tables, and/or shipping line
Production Targets

Output Tracking and Inventory Management
The Production Lead is responsible for delivering counts to the Supervisor and following Home Chef's inventory management procedures. Specifically, a Production Lead is responsible for:
Counting output
Collects counts every hour (CHI) or two hours (CA) to deliver to Supervisor
Delivers numbers of meal bags and WIP produced at the end of each workday
Inventory management procedures
Makes sure that the red, grey and green crates all have clear and legible labels
Ensures all old labels have been removed from red trays
Ensures all completed portion and meal bag towers are tagged according to SOP (i.e. plastic wrap w/ meal name, count, and date for CHI and masking tape for CA)
Ensures the meal bag towers are moved to the proper storage location and ordered by date. The older meals should be in the front and the newer meals should be in the back. FIFO (First In First Out) processes should be followed.
Promoting and Upholding Employee Safety and Food Safety Procedures
A Production Lead is responsible for enforcing and executing Home Chef Food Safety Policies on the production floor.
GMP Enforcement and Education
Ensures FSQA is conducting a GMP check on all their associates at the start of the shift and after lunch
Calls out and corrects GMP violations when they occur
Understands the complete scope of GMPs. This includes but is not limited to:
Changing gloves after touching floor mats, leaving the production area, or before portioning a new item
Washing hands at the designated handwashing station
Changing hairnet when returning from the restroom
Employee Safety
Ensure associates are utilizing proper Lifting Techniques when moving and picking up items.
Attends all safety trainings to maintain safety compliance

Shipping:
Conducts check of pallet shipping sheet and the admin shipping list to verify documentation for cases shipped has been properly completed and all cases scanned in facility
Coordinates with logistics provider to manage pick-ups; accurate loading for outbounds via “Outbound Trailer Scheduler”
Ensures standard processes for tagging, storage, and loading of outbound pallets are followed
Verifies all special out-bounds, such as transfers, to ensure accuracy of load and all documentation is uploaded per SOP
Audits load sheets completed by the loaders to ensure accuracy

Sets up for each activity according to standard operating procedures (SOPs)

Detailed Responsibilities
Core QC Functions
A QC Tech demonstrates mastery of all core QC responsibilities, specifically:
Labeling
Performs visual inspection during labeling process (including bottles, jars, bags) for proper placement of label, correct name of product and/or ingredient per Q.A. sheets
Portioning
Issues correct QC samples to production team leads/production associates prior to production, utilizing QA sheets to ensure correct portion amount for the specific ingredient being portioned
Issues the proper measuring equipment (i.e. scales, measuring spoons, measuring cups, spatulas, pumps)
Reinforces training for production team leads and associates on proper measurement using the equipment
Confirms the portioned amount with production team leads for each portioned ingredient prior to starting production (based on QA sheets)
Performs final verification of portioning and sign-off on portioning line prior to starting production
Conducts hourly visual inspections of portioned ingredients for accuracy
Meal Bagging
Utilizes production sheets to verify proper meal bag line setup
Verifies that all ingredients required for the meal are present and within shelf life
Confirms ingredient amounts with production team leads and associates (particularly for ingredients that require multiples)
Sign-offs on production sheets
Conducts hourly visual or physical inspections to ensure meal bag accuracy (by unpacking completed meal bag)
Maintains continuous watch over meal bagging line and helps to close bags at the end of the line
Performs random meal bag inspections to ensure produce quality and double check ingredient quantities on days when shipping lines are operational
Shipping Line
All Lines
Verifies set up of line (meat, meal bags, recipe cards, box call outs) using boxing call out sheet prior to start of shipping
Communicates back to production team when errors are identified on the line
Visually inspects meat for quality (e.g. freezer burn, discoloration, broken seals) when serving in the role of protein QA
Understands and can conduct sanitation process for proteins that have fallen on the floor or have been otherwise exposed to potential sources of cross-contamination
Similar Line:
Verifies the setup of the line prior to each run, ensuring correct product is present, and initials similar sign off sheet with start time
Ensure correct pick quantity (e.g. 4 serving run) has been communicated to the production associates working on the line
Unique & Hybrid Lines:
Confirms correct proteins, meal bags, box call outs, recipe cards, and ice quantity have been placed in each box utilizing the pick ticket
Receiving/Outbound Transfers
Completes and properly documents QC inspections of all inbound/outbound ingredients
Escalates issues to FSQA Supervisor/FSQA leadership of any issues regarding quality or food safety
Other Responsibilities
Final Box Verification
Removes boxes systematically from each line and completes the final box verification form
Documenting issues identified in the box as well which shipping line it was packed on
Provides feedback to production supervisor and or team lead running the shipping line when issues are identified
Corrects issues identified in boxes checked and ensures box is placed on pallet for shipping
Post-op Clean up
Collects all utensils (scales, dishers, measuring cups, measuring spoons, etc.) from sanitation after they have been cleaned and sanitized and places them in designated spots within the QA lab for the next shift
Places QA sheet / clipboard / tablet in designated storage area
Equipment Setup and Maintenance
Sets up portion fillers with ingredients requested
Verifies Scales used in portioning
Issue Escalation
Promptly notifies FSQA Supervisor and/or FSQA Leadership when quality issues arise such as produce quality, portioning quantity, or missing ingredients
General Responsibilities
Follow the facility GMP's and help enforce them throughout the facility
Support the efforts of the company to maintain our food safety system (SQF) and quality programs

This role follows a 1st shift schedule, working from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with designated days off on Saturday & Sunday.
The RTH Decanter Lead will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Decanting and the assembly CI production. This role involves direct supervision of the RTH Decanters, ensuring that all product coming out of the blast chiller is managed with proper documentation, accuracy, and efficiency as well as any production of assembly CI's that are produced for mapping. The Lead will ensure the team adheres to all safety, inventory, and quality control procedures, maintaining an organized and production-ready area.
Detailed Responsibilities
Supervision and Training:
Serve as the subject matter expert for all decanting procedures, providing hands-on training and guidance to RTH Decanters.
Monitor the Decanters performance, ensuring all products are correctly weighted, labeled, and stored in the WIP racks and Sauce Bay.
Monitor production associates producing assembly CIs, ensuring all assembly CIs are being accurately produced with high quality.
Ensure the team follows the proper procedure for organizing speed racks by item and meal for accurate documentation.
Audit inventory records and CCP submissions for accuracy and compliance.
Zone and Inventory Management:
Manage the Decanting zone and verify that the Decanters have all necessary materials and tools, including Brute totes, utility scales, Zebra printers/labels, carts, and decanting hand tools.
Ensure all labeling for sauces is correct, each pan is covered, and placed in the designated area.
Confirm that at the end of each shift, all racks are decanted, and the area is cleared for the following shift's successful start.
Utilize SafetyChain or Ops App to verifying CCPs are accurate and fill out the inventory information form for tote weights.
Utilize Ops Apps and SafetyChain to submit, maintain, and audit current inventory records.
Manages and is responsible for RTI throughout the week ensuring minimal waste is caused.
Ensure that waste is logged in Ops Apps before disposal.
General Responsibilities:
Must be able to submit progress of production throughout the shift
Follow the facility GMPs and help enforce them throughout the facility
Support the efforts of the company to maintain our food safety system (SQF) and quality programs
This position requires 0% travel.

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient maintenance of facilities, equipment, and systems to maximize productivity and minimize downtime through the plant. The Maintenance Supervisor will lead a team of maintenance technicians, prioritize tasks, and contribute to the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs. They will install, maintain and replace automation systems. These responsibilities include troubleshooting component parts, motion sensors, control components, photo sensors, PLC's, and other automation-related equipment. In addition, the Maintenance Supervisor will own contractor management as well as ensuring all techs and contractors follow GMP and Safety policies.
Detailed Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance
Services and maintains production-related equipment, which includes motors, conveyors, vibratory fillers, tub washer, flow wrapper, cookers, chillers, vertical and horizontal Form/Fill/Seal, modified atmosphere packaging equipment, etc.
Installs new production equipment
Provides guidance and training to machine operators to increase efficiency and reduce downtime on production equipment
Reads and interprets equipment manuals to troubleshoot equipment and to assess functionality
Quickly learns how to properly maintain and repair any new equipment brought onsite
Executes preventative maintenance plans on all equipment as scheduled by the Maintenance Manager
Maintains records of PMs and emergency work in the CMMS for equipment history
Identifies what spare parts are needed and communicates with the Maintenance Manager when they need to be ordered to maintain equipment uptime
Facility Maintenance
Responsible for keeping the facility in good working order and in compliance with all safety requirements
Coordinates work orders related to facility improvements and repairs such as dock door and dock leveler repairs, plumbing repairs, building access control, etc
Oversees contractors conducting facility repairs on the air compressor, hot water heater, and the fire suppression system
Documents work related to facility improvements and repairs in the Home Chef CMMS to maintain history
Maintains records of equipment related to compliance requirements such as pH probes, condenser water treatment, or ammonia sensors
Maintenance Shop Organization
Directly responsible for making the maintenance shop audit ready at all times, this includes but is not limited to properly storing flammable lubricants and maintaining records of critical safety equipment
Keeps the shop tools and spare parts well organized so that all shifts can conduct required maintenance
Communicates proactively with the Maintenance Manager when spare parts need to be ordered for specific equipment for the facility
Time Management and Continuous Improvement
Works under pressure when emergencies occur
Works with a sense of urgency to minimize production downtime
Prioritizes work orders to minimize impact to production and employees
Accurately predicts time to complete work orders
Communicates progress and expected completion dates with management
Utilizes Fiix to log hours worked and close work orders
Identifies opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction
Employee and Food Safety
Conducts all work in accordance with sound safety practices and proper work methods or procedures; wears all personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
Complies with all environmental laws and regulations for chemicals and lubricants as well as disposal and storage
Performs work in accordance with all quality systems requirements and understands what Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) are and is willing and able to fully support these requirements
Conducts routine safety checks on the production equipment
Team Leadership
Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of maintenance technicians.
