Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, performs routine treatment procedures such as enemas, application of appliances for heat and cold.
Able to release, remove, and reapply restraints to patient under the direction of an RN. Ensures patient is in proper position and alignment.
Assist Registered Nurse and/or LVN/LPN with complicated patient treatment procedures.
Serves and removes patient meal tray in timely manner. Assists with feeding and/or preparing items such as opening milk container, cutting food for patient.

Position Details:
Location: Various clients across Bergen County, NJ
Schedule: flexible availability
Pay: $18 per hour
Employment Type:hourly shifts. Up to 40 hours per week.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility
Provide companionship and emotional support
Assist with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and errands
Follow personalized care plans and report any changes in client condition
Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment
Requirements:
Current NJ CHHA license (required)
Reliable, punctual, and compassionate demeanor
Experience with elderly or disabled clients preferred
Valid drivers license and transportation is a plus

Neighborhood Self Help by Older Persons Projects (SHOPP)is a dynamic and innovative non-profit organization that supports older adults, caregivers, and individuals with disabilities. SHOPP offers 12 essential programs, including CCNP (Community Care Network Program), 4 Older Adult Centers (Casa Boricua, Leon, Soundview, and Guess), NORC (Naturally Occurring Retirement Communities), Pop Up Caf, Case Management with Friendly Visiting, Elder Justice, Caregiver Support Program, and NY Connects. SHOPPsmissionis to enhance the strength and resilience of individuals, regardless of age or ability, through innovative programs and support services
The Program Aide is responsible for providing clerical and program support to the Community Care
Network Program. Duties include handling telephones, reception area supervision, heavy filing, typing
letters and preparing reports, managing supplies inventory and equipment, providing Information and
Referral (I&R) , data entry in DFTA database system and assisting with program activities. The Program
Aide reports directly to the Program Director. The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent,
computer literacy in Microsoft Office application and database systems. Excellent people skills, knowledge
of community resources for Information and Referral. Spanish language fluency preferred.
The Program Aide is specifically responsible for the following tasks:
Clerical:
Screen calls.
Triage Intake calls.
Track program services and prepare reports.
Assist with coordinating activities of volunteers.
Maintain various databases, mailing lists and monthly agency program levels of services report.
Maintain inventory of office supplies. This includes: completing approved purchased orders,
placing orders, receiving and checking purchase items upon delivery and storing supplies
which vary in weight up to 20 lbs and may require reaching overhead and utilizing a step
stool.
Perform heavy filing tasks daily, including pulling and refiling client case records in up to 5
drawer filing cabinet.
Maintain agency equipment (computers, copiers, fax, etc.) inventory, troubleshoot problems and
arrange for service and maintenance on timely basis as needed.
Restocking office supplies including office printers with reams of copy paper.
Assist in member/participant/client registration and enrollment.
When necessary, provide Telephone Reassurance and Case Assistance as assigned by
supervisor.
Provide Information and Referral.
Other Duties:
Supervise reception area and reception staff, volunteers.
Participate in SHOPP staff training programs, staff meetings, community meetings and other
meetings as assigned.
Assist in resolving any administrative problems.
Be available and willing to perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Provide shared support for assigned students with a disability as assigned by classroom teachers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides shared support to students with special needs with activities that might be necessary as described in IEPs; duties may include escorting child in and out of building at start and end of school day; assisting child at recess and during fire drills or other emergencies; in addition, may be assisting with toilet skills and eating lunch.
Incumbents of this position may also be employed to provide one-on-one service for students with special needs. The work is performed under the general supervision with more direct supervision from instructors and therapists in matters regarding health-related procedures; redirection. The work involves direct, daily contact with students; may be 1:1 in some circumstances. Supervision over others is not normally a responsibility of this job.
APPOINTMENT:
Appointment will be made by the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the Superintendent following assessment of training, experience, certifications, credentials and evaluation of service. Personal interviews shall be conducted where appropriate.
