Position Overview:
Employment Type: Full\-Time, 175 Ten\-Hour Shifts Annually

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Neurosurgical Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our dedicated team at Monument Health in South Dakota. This role is primarily focused on inpatient care, with responsibilities in the ICU, ward, and emergency department, as well as some clinic follow\-up, but no elective cases. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of neurosurgical experience, preferably with trauma exposure. While experience in the operating room (OR) is a plus, it is not required; ICU experience is highly valued. You will work closely with the trauma team to provide high\-quality, patient\-centered care, contributing to our efforts to improve patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive care to neurosurgical patients, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow\-up, primarily in inpatient settings such as the ICU, ward, and emergency department.
Assist in preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care in collaboration with neurosurgeons, trauma surgeons, and other healthcare professionals.
Perform advanced procedures as credentialed, including lumbar punctures, ventriculostomies, ICP monitoring, and wound management.
Participate actively in daily rounds, patient consultations, and interdisciplinary team meetings.
Contribute to the program's quality improvement initiatives and participate in professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) program.
Current and unrestricted license in South Dakota as a PA or NP.
Board certification by NCCPA (PA) or AANP\/ANCC (NP).
Minimum of 2 years of experience in neurosurgery, with trauma experience preferred.
ICU experience is a significant advantage.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications.
Strong clinical skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem\-solving skills.
Schedule and Compensation:

Minimum Qualifications
Must have a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree from an accredited medical school and successful completion of post graduate training and an approved residency program.
Must have a permanent, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of South Dakota, or ability to obtain full or temporary license prior to start date. Full and unrestricted license must be obtained within one (1) year of hire.
Must obtain and maintain medical staff clinical privileges, including any licensure requirements.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required or must be obtained within ninety (90) days of employment.
ACLS certification, and PALS certification required.

Position Overview:

The NP or PA will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver compassionate, evidence-based treatment across a range of modalities. Key Responsibilities:
Perform psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and individualized treatment planning.

Administer and oversee Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) treatments, Ketamine infusions, Spravato, and MAT treatments.

Educate patients about treatment options, expected outcomes, and wellness strategies.
Partner with leadership to refine and implement clinical workflows.
Qualifications:
Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Certified Physician Assistant with prescriptive authority in South Dakota (or eligible for licensure).
Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physican Assistant.
Willingness to train in advanced interventional treatments (TMS, ketamine, Spravato).
Experience with MAT for substance use disorders preferred but not required.

Responsibilities
The RN develops, implements, evaluates and revises a plan of care of assigned patients and families while promoting the mission and values of Vibra Healthcare. The provision of care includes direct care along with the delegation and supervision of all nursing care in accordance with the applicable Nurse Practice Act. Specific components of the Registered Nurse role include demonstrating clinical competence; managing patient care; improving quality of care; establishing professional relationships and utilizing professional skills; fulfilling responsibilities of the role of the hospital; and developing clinical expertise per specialty.
Required Skills:
* Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment required.
* Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor required.
* Current ACLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor required within six (6) months of hire.

* Previous acute care experience is strongly preferred.
