Job Overview: As a Cardiac Catheter Lab Registered Nurse (CCL RN), you will assist physicians and allied healthcare staff in performing a variety of diagnostic and interventional cardiac/endovascular, EP, Vascular and structural procedures. You will utilize knowledge of pathophysiology to ensure patients are prepared/educated/supported during procedures, whether monitoring, circulating, or assisting with scrub procedures. As a Per Diem Cardiac Cath. Lab Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for TEE, CV, tilt table tests, ILR procedures, as well as pre- and post-care of patients, including admissions, discharges and transfers. Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center (CBMC) Catheter Lab specializes in cardiac catheter, vascular, neurovascular (stroke) and structural heart procedures, as well as electrophysiology. Procedures performed in the Cath lab include the following: left and right heart catheterizations along with percutaneous intervention as necessary, intracoronary ultrasound, rotational atherectomy, balloon pump insertion, Impella insertion, left atrial appendage closure, catheter-directed thrombolysis for pulmonary embolization, structural procedures (TAVR, Mitra Clip), neurovascular cerebral angiograms, stroke treatment, carotid stenting, treatment of cerebral aneurysms with coiling and pipeline interventions, peripheral and renal angiograms with intervention as necessary, Watchmen, CardioMEMs, and Electrophysiology (cardiac devices, ablations, PVI's, laser lead extractions). Qualifications: Cath Lab experience is strongly preferred. A minimum of 2 years of critical care experience is required. Telemetry experience required. Strong critical thinking/assessment skills. Must be I.V. certified from an approved facility or complete the requirements for I.V. certification within 90 days of hire to the unit. Completion of all orientation requirements of Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center. Successful completion of all Orientation Programs.
