What you'll do (high-level)
Translate strategy into infrastructure, technology, and capital initiatives; co‑lead long‑term planning.
Lead IT strategy and serve as executive sponsor for the Technology Committee.
Oversee facilities, maintenance, construction projects, preventive maintenance, and regulatory compliance, act as Owner's Representative.
Build and mentor a high‑performing administrative team, partner across Finance, HR, Programs, and Executive peers.
Own risk management, insurance, claims, incident response, business continuity, and serve as Safety Officer and sponsor of the Risk Management Committee.
Provide executive legal/contract oversight and coordinate legal strategy with CHRO and general counsel.
Co‑sponsor business development efforts alongside the Chief Strategy Officer.
Essential Job Functions
Strategic & Organizational Leadership
Serve as a core member of the Executive Team, advising on organizational priorities and long‑term planning.

Facilities & Construction Management
Oversee all facilities management, maintenance, and capital improvement efforts across multiple sites.
Serve as Owner's Representative for new construction and renovation projects, ensuring scope, cost, and schedule integrity.
Ensure preventive maintenance programs and safety systems that ensure regulatory compliance and operational continuity.
Partner with CFO, COO, and President & CEO on capital budgeting and financing strategies.
Serve with Chief Strategy Officer as Executive co‑sponsor for the Business Development committee.
Legal & Contractual Responsibilities
Serve as the organization's executive lead for legal affairs, ensuring that all contracts, real estate, facilities, and administrative agreements align with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards.
Provide agency‑wide legal oversight, including contracts, insurance, regulatory interpretation, and general counsel coordination for the organization.
Partner closely with the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), who leads workforce legal oversight, including employment law, labor relations, and investigations. Ensure coordinated legal strategy and consistent organizational interpretation across workforce and agency domains.
Negotiate, review, and approve contracts for services, leases, vendors, construction, and technology in collaboration with legal counsel and the CFO.
Ensure proper execution, documentation, and storage of all contractual instruments.
Oversee compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to physical plant, workplace safety, environmental health, data security, and emergency preparedness.
Advise the President & CEO and Board Committees on legal or regulatory risks related to facilities, technology, and vendor operations.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Work alongside the other Chief Officers of the organization to turn vision into coordinated action, making sure that strategy, operations, people, quality, and resources all move in the same direction.
Shared Agency Responsibilities
Execute the enterprise strategy - convert the Board/President & CEO strategy into annual plans; remove barriers and hit milestones.
Own outcomes & transparency - maintain reliable dashboards for quality, access, experience, equity, workforce, and finance; surface risks early and report to the President & CEO.
Lead people & culture - build diverse, high‑performing teams; develop successors; strengthen engagement, wellbeing, and a culture of safety and learning.
Guard risk, compliance & ethics - proactively identify and mitigate risks; uphold policies, privacy/security, licensure/accreditation requirements; ensure effective corrective actions.
Steward resources - plan and manage budgets; optimize operating and capital expenditures; support the culture of philanthropy.
Other duties assigned by the President & CEO.
Education/Specialized Knowledge Requirements
Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MPA, MEng, or related) preferred.
Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership in operations, administration, or infrastructure management-ideally within healthcare or another complex nonprofit or mission‑driven environment.
Demonstrated success overseeing facilities, IT systems, risk management, or capital development at scale.
Proven record of leading cross‑functional teams and managing large budgets or capital projects.

Position Summary: The Community Specialist creates individualized (1:1) or small group community-based services and supports, based on individual's goals, competencies, choices, and priorities as identified on each participants Individual Support Plan. Mentors and facilitates independence and integration into the community by strengthening special interaction, and community connectedness. Job Responsibilities:
Remains knowledgeable in and supports development of Individual Support Plan (ISP) in collaboration with the individual, family, director, support coordinating agencies, and funders.
Provide community living/community integration supports, such as routine household tasks and maintenance, activities of daily living related to community integration, personal hygiene, shopping, money management, medication management, socialization, relationship building, leisure choices, or participation in community activities.
Provides or coordinates transportation to all activities.
Provides direct supervision, training, care, and positive interaction with adults on a one-on-one or small group basis.
Sets up and helps individuals use assistive/ adaptive technology including communication systems (with he help of the ATRC)
Uses an integrated teaching approach that embeds opportunities to improve social, communication, cognitive, and motor skills (developmental functions) during community integration routines and activities.
Adapts learning activities to support diverse abilities and learning styles. Provides assistance (supports participation) and offers/respects choices.
Engages individuals in physical activity relative to community experience to build strength/endurance/range of motion
Shapes development of appropriate behavior and social interaction skills by encouraging communication and positive interactions with others, modeling positive social skills, redirecting, and purposefully mentoring development of personal/social responsibility.
Provides opportunities for reflection after the community activity to support active learning.
Prepares/completes required documentation including time/attendance records; contact notes for each date of service to include supports and services provided; a detailed monthly summary note documenting progress in achievement of individual objectives; incident reports, etc. with accuracy and in a timely manner.
Provides care services required during the provision of community-based services and supports to address basic life needs including physical handling of individuals wheelchairs for transfers, positioning, personal hygiene, toileting, dressing, emergency response, and other tasks as needed.
Provides direct supervision and positive interaction with individuals during all personal care services.
Assists individuals with any type of personal care needed, while encouraging individuals to actively participate in all personal care activities to foster increasing levels of independence in addressing personal care needs.
Participates in medication administration training, as needed, and as directed. Administers medication, as required by policy and accepted practices.
Seeks medical attention for individuals exhibiting signs of Illness or injury. Administers first aid or CPR as need.
Communicates pertinent information regarding each individual's services, care, and well-being to the assistant director.
Education/Qualifications:
bachelor's degree in any field from an accredited college or university with one year of experience in the field of intellectual or developmental disabilities.
Highschool diploma and five years' experience in the field of intellectual developmental or developmental disabilities as an alternative to a degree in the human service education requirement

About Being an Early Childcare Education Lead Teacher: This position provides oversight for a specific childcare program area, staff supervision of assistant caregivers, and compliance with all regulatory requirements including NAEYC and STARs.
Serves in a dual role to provide direction and supervision for ECE Assistants while sharing all duties related to mentoring, training, researching and implementing age appropriate curriculum activities and complying with all regulatory requirements.
Implements and manages operational changes in the assigned childcare program area to comply with regulations, STARs and NAEYC.
Reports staff disciplinary issues that need attention to the Program Manager/assigned supervisor or to the division director.
Provides input to the Director/assigned supervisor for staff performance evaluations.
Directs the work of volunteers assigned to the classroom.
Provides oversight for the accurate and timely completion of all required documentation including attendance records, individualized goals, service notes, reports for the family, incident reports, food service forms, etc.
Sets up and assist children in the use of assistive/adaptive and computer technology for structured or independent learning and to perform functional tasks.
Collaborates with other assistants in establishing children's individual objectives.
Attends meetings as assigned.
Communicates pertinent information regarding each child's care and wellbeing to all other assistant caregivers, and relevant people.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Computer Skills - Possesses a working knowledge of Microsoft office skills, internet software and database programs. Able to accurately enter data into a database, search for information, send and receive email and attachments.

What Easterseals RedwoodRequired Education and Experience:
Child Development Associates degree or preparatory work towards that degree or college coursework, associates, or baccalaureate degree in early childhood education, special education, or closely related field.
At least two years' experience working with children with special health care needs.
Work Environment: Work is performed with children with special needs/disabilities in classrooms in EastersealsRedwood's building, on the grounds, and in the community. Redwood's building is climate controlled with standard lighting. When conducting duties outside of the building, lighting and temperature reflect seasonal conditions. Noise levels are moderate. There is minimal-to-no exposure to hazardous chemicals with occasional exposure to contagious conditions, such as the common cold. Children may display disruptive behavior.
