What You'll Do
Provide Compassionate Direct Care: Support children and young adults with daily living needs such as feeding, bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility in a group setting.
Implement Individualized Care Plans: Follow and support care plans, assist participants in achieving personal goals, and communicate updates or changes to supervisors.
Engage in Meaningful Activities: Actively involve participants in individual and group activities while ensuring their personal belongings are clean, safe, and accessible.
Complete Required Training: Obtain certifications in medication administration, g-tube feedings, and other specialized care areas. Assist in training and orientation of peers as needed.
Maintain Accurate Documentation: Ensure timely and accurate completion of care records, medication logs, and incident reports. Communicate effectively with families and team members.
Promote a Safe and Supportive Environment: Follow safety procedures, demonstrate professionalism, resolve conflicts constructively, and foster positive relationships with participants, families, and staff.
What You'll Need
Must be at least 18 years old
High school diploma preferred
Experience working with or knowledge of children with special health care needs preferred
Must be willing to provide transportation as a ChildServe authorized driver. This includes passing a motor vehicle record check and car safety check and able to provide a valid driver's license and insurance. Must be willing to obtain your chauffeur's license to drive ChildServe vehicles.
Good oral and written communication skills and ability to accurately document all observations, significant events, and services provided.
Ability to communicate effectively in reading, writing, and speaking the English language
