Hospital-based Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to assist our Trauma Surgeons with trauma/emergency room patients and inpatients to join our growing Level II Trauma Facility in Augusta, Georgia.
Qualified Candidates:
We are recruiting for a full time advanced practitioner (PA or NP) that is comfortable with all aspects of Trauma.
2 years of PA/NP trauma and critical care experience preferred.
Position includes three 12 hour shifts per week with coverage of trauma/emergency, general surgery patients, mostly hospital floor inpatient coverage.
This position is a key team member of the trauma team, assisting the trauma surgeons in critical situations and ICU patient management while facilitating patient progression to discharge. (Does not include duties to assist surgeon in the OR.)
Responsibilities include: round on floor patients, ICU patients (trauma only), responding to trauma resuscitations and assist with trauma consultations in the ED; progress notes; H & P; Discharge summaries; respond to nursings phone calls; write orders.
Requirements: NP/PA GA license(unrestricted), ACLS, BLS, ATLS preferred
Desired characteristics: Clinical background in ED or critical care, strong critical thinking skills, able to function autonomously, strong communication and computer skills, comfortable working across disciplines to facilitate patient care.

Nestled just a few miles from the shores of Lake Hartwell, Lavonia, Georgia is conveniently located between Atlanta and Greenville, South Carolina. Lavonia has the best of both worlds with a quaint historic downtown and a growing interstate exchange with many lodging and dining choices.
Thousands of people come to Lavonia each year thanks to its location right on Interstate 85 at the Georgia-South Carolina state line. Lake Hartwell and Tugaloo State Park are prime attractions in Lavonia, as well as the city's parks.
Visitors to 56,000-acre Lake Hartwell enjoy all types of water sports including skiing, boating, sailing, jet skiing, and canoeing. Boat rentals are available from Harbor Light Marina and Harbor Light Marina South, both on the lake in Lavonia. The natural sand beaches along the shoreline are perfect for swimming, picnicking, or just relaxing.
Situated on a wooded peninsula, Tugaloo State Park's cottages, yurts, and most campsites offer spectacular views of Lake Hartwell in every direction. Some cottages even have private boat docks for overnight guests. Tent campers can choose between the developed campground or primitive sites a short walk from the parking area.
Four miles of trails are open to hikers at the park. Both the 3.6-mile Sassafras and 0.7-mile Muscadine hiking trails at Tugaloo State Park wind through oak, walnut, mulberry and cherry trees. Other activities at the park include geocaching, horseshoes, mini-golf, tennis, and volleyball. Kayaks and canoes can be rented at the park on a seasonal basis.

Ensures all credentialed providers meet minimum qualifications for membership and privileges.
Assists in maintaining compliance with Joint Commission standards and other regulatory standards and requirements.

Mobility: uses various devices that enable resident to ambulate independently (i.e. cane, walker, wheelchair, crutch, etc.)

What do I need for this role?

What You Should Know About the Personal Care Specialist FLOAT Role:
is a DRIVING position seeing patients in both homes and facilities
TRAVELING is required within Ohio's Hospice South Region which includes counties of Butler, Champaign, Clark, Clinton, Fayette, Greene, Miami, Montgomery, Preble, Warren

other surrounding counties
This is a FT DAYS position, available shifts are your
choice of:
5-8hr shifts
OR
4-10hr shifts
OR
3-12 +4hr shifts. All shifts equal 40 hours per week and chosen shift hours is what you will work on a weekly basis

The Personal Care Specialist's Essential Duties Are:
We provide superior care for patients in families in homes/facilities. Our STNAs are titled "Personal Care Specialist" because they are valued for their expertise in taking care of the patient's personal needs with dignity, compassion and empathy. You could become a Personal Care Specialist that provides quality nursing assistance to patients, assists the family with the care of the patient and works with a team that relies on your input from the close relationship you develop with the patient.
Personal Care Specialist Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED;
Certified State Tested Nursing Assistant with the State of Ohio without any board actions;
one year of experience preferred;
Certification in Hospice & Palliative Medicine (CHPNA) preferred, required within two years of employment;
Computer skills sufficient to properly document services and care.
Ability to drive during daytime, nighttime or inclement weather.
Valid Driver's license with Safe Driving Record.
State minimum automobile insurance coverage.

* Represent IDEXX to customers and academia which may include hosting seminars and continuing education sessions on company products to key influencers at Veterinary Hospitals, University and Veterinary Schools, etc.
* Partner with the Sales organization and other IDEXX areas as needed to collaborate, providing medical support to sales and marketing, technical medical training, market trials, and other applicable activities.
* Proactively support the company's products through assisting with, creating and reviewing technical materials and presenting technical medical subjects to a variety of audiences. May assist and write technical medical documents and/or provide input and approval oversight on marketing and field selling materials.
* Provide support to IDEXX Training Department, creating written materials, presentations, and conducting training sessions as appropriate.
* Assure compliance with all lDEXX SOP's and procedures relative to product questions/concerns, client records and administrative responsibilities.
* Handle customer (veterinary and end-user) questions providing technical medical advice and following through on product complaints.
* Adhere to and model the IDEXX Purpose & Guiding Principles.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
What you will need to succeed:
* DVM degree or equivalent.
* Advanced degree or board certification preferred.
* Typically, 5-8 years of experience in the Veterinary Industry and/or in Veterinary Practice
* Licensed to practice in at least one state a plus.
* Solid knowledge of current topics and issues in clinical veterinary medicine.
* Strong business acumen, including specific knowledge of products and services sold.
* Seasoned business and medical professional.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others effectively and appropriately.
* Strong facilitator, able to resolve conflict through mutual understanding and respect.
* Excellent customer service and business relationship-building skills required.
