Essential Functions: Treats all information about residents, their condition, and family as well as personnel matters as confidential information. Complies with established Corporate and Departmental policies and procedures, and maintains established standards and practices. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques. Provides accurate and descriptive records of medical and nursing care of the residents. Assigns daily resident care duties to Nursing Assistants and Hospitality Aides, monitors and evaluates the delivery of care. Accurately transcribes and carries out all physicians orders and assists with physician visits. Participates in resident care planning. Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Associate Executive Director is responsible for the overall operational performance of the following departments: Environmental Services, Food Service, Community Services, Therapeutic Recreation, Wellness, and Volunteer. Essential Functions: Responsible for the overall performance of the following departments: housekeeping, maintenance, laundry, security, dining, activities, wellness, volunteer services and community services. * In collaboration with the Executive Director, hires, disciplines, supervises, trains, and professionally develops department directors reporting to this position in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures. * Periodically conducts performance evaluations and quality assurance audits, monitors resident satisfaction, and promptly responds to any areas of concern. * Responsible for monitoring each department's budget compliance and shall exert control to ensure sound fiscal operations of elements. * Supports sales and marketing, nursing, assisted living and other department leaders in delivering services, programs and regulatory and legal compliance. * Assists the Executive Director and Corporate Office staff in program and facility expansion planning. * Coordinates the efforts of the respective managers to guarantee the delivery of quality service efficiently and economically. * Ensures and maintains compliance with the rules and regulations promulgated by the various governmental authorities. * In collaboration with the Executive Director, utilizes consultants to meet Homewood objectives. Executes and manages consulting contracts, evaluating consultant contributions to ensure maximum value and contract compliance. * Ensures good relations with the public, community staff and residents, and direct reports. * Ensures that the rights and dignity of each resident and co-worker are secured and respected. * Treats all information about residents, their condition, and family as well as personnel matters as confidential information. * Complies with established Corporate and facility policies and procedures and maintains established standards and practices. * Performs other functions as directed by the supervisor. Essential Functions: * Treats all information about residents, their condition, and family as confidential information. * Complies with established Corporate and Departmental policies and procedures, and maintains established standards and practices. * Handles and prepares food according to proper dietary procedures, infection control procedures and sanitary regulations. * Inspects and tastes prepared foods for temperature, quality, quantity and correct seasoning and cooking techniques. Makes appropriate documentation. * Recognizes the value of special diets and makes food palatable for all residents. * Responsible for the daily cleaning and sanitation of equipment and work areas by following established work procedures and standards of sanitation. * Assists with special food functions (banquets, teas, etc.). * Assists with the transportation of food carts. * Assists in the supervision of dietary staff in the absence of the supervisor. * Performs other functions as directed by the supervisor. Qualifications: * Experience or education in food service preparation. * Knowledge of cooking procedures and large quantity recipes. * Ability to understand and follow oral and printed instructions. * Ability to read, write and understand English well. * High degree of personal hygiene and cleanliness. * Ability to do repeated pushing of tray carts, and lifting or carrying a minimum of 25 pounds throughout an eight hour shift. * Ability to stand and walk throughout the course of an eight hour shift. * Must treat residents and the public with kindness and respect in a cheerful manner. Physical Requirements: Must be able to constantly work on their feet during an 8 hour shift; bend, stoop, twist, and turn constantly throughout the shift in performing regular duties. Must be able to lift and move large kettles, pots, pans, stacks of dishes and trays, boxes of food, large pieces of meat, fish, poultry, and other assorted items weighing 25 pounds throughout the shift. Must be able to move small and large pieces of equipment for use and to clean around. Must be able to react quickly and decisively in response to unexpected emergencies such as fires, burns, spilling of hot liquids and foods, etc.

Administer and record medications as ordered by the physician, in accordance with certification regulations. Essential Functions: * Treat all information about residents, their condition, and family as confidential information. * Comply with established policies and procedures and maintain established standards and practices. * Assist with or provide personal hygiene care, including bathing, shaving, changing clothing, nail care, and toilet needs. * Ensure residents have clean, dry linen and make beds as needed. * Support proper resident nutrition during meal and snack times. * Perform resident treatments as assigned by the Head Nurse and within the nursing scope of practice. * Accurately observe, record, and report changes in resident condition or needs to the Head Nurse. * Actively participate in the planning of resident care. * Promote activities of daily living according to the resident's service plan. * Conduct resident lifts and transfers according to the resident's service plan and the Lift Free Program. * Prepare and administer oral, topical, and inhalant medications, recording administration in the resident's medical record, and monitoring and reporting changes in condition related to medication administration. * Perform other functions as directed by the supervisor. Qualifications: * Must be certified on state registry as a Medication Technician within 120 days of employment. * Ability to frequently lift and transfer up to 30 pounds of resident weight (approximately 15 times) throughout the shift. * Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, and turn constantly throughout an eight (8) hour shift. * Strong organizational skills and ability to perform sequential tasks. * Motivation and desire to work with geriatric residents. * Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, to carry out care plans and provide appropriate resident care. * CPR certification and basic First Aid preferred. * Licensed Nursing Assistant in the state where care is provided a plus. Physical Requirements: Must be able to work on their feet constantly during an 8-hour shift; bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently throughout the shift while performing regular duties. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds of resident weight and/or transfer and reposition residents at least 25 times throughout the shift. Must be capable of quick and decisive reactions in emergencies and in response to unexpected resident behavior during lifting, repositioning, or other direct contact situations. Must be able to physically transfer residents to safer locations in the event of a fire or other emergencies. Ability to perform sequential events/tasks efficiently.
