Position Description: The Child Development Specialist is responsible for assigned responsibilities involving professional work with a high degree of flexibility in providing individual and family services to increase parenting skills and enhance the developmental potential of young children and/or children with developmental and acquired disabilities. * Conducts groups and workshops to educate parents in child development through materials and curricula developed for this purpose.
* Provides developmental assessments of children's birth through kindergarten-age; teach parents ways to enhance their child's developmental potential.
* Keeps confidential records and writes reports essential to this work.
* Assists in the selection, preparation, and distribution of materials on child development which will further the purpose of this program.
* Provides in-service training in the areas of child development and parenting to staff at Head Starts, day care, preschool programs, or other programs as necessary.
* Counsels' individuals and families on topics related to parenting and child development.
* Recruits' clients for child development programs through contracts with community organizations such as public health clinics, hospitals, childcare centers, civic organizations, pediatricians and the news media.

* Participates as a member of a multidisciplinary/transdisciplinary team by staffing individual cases and groups and developing treatment plans or Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) pertaining to child development.

* Provide services to children and families in the child's natural environment or the environment determined most appropriate by the child's early intervention team.

CNC Machinist - Weekend Shift

The CNC Machinist - Weekend Shift is responsible for reading and interpreting sketches, prints, and other related technical data to produce quality parts using conventional Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) machine equipment. This position is for our weekend shift, working Friday through Sunday, 12-hour day shifts.
Responsibilities and Duties
As a minimum, the following is a basic description of typical duties and responsibilities expected of the CNC Machinist - Weekend Shift. These duties are not exhaustive and are subject to change as the needs of the organization require.
Operate and maintain lathe and milling machines
Review drawings, instructions, or samples ensure accurate production of parts.
Take precise measurements for cutting or shaping.
Select appropriate machine and settings for given task.
Plan proper sequence of task to complete the assignment.
Monitor production of parts, adjusting feed and other settings as necessary.
Maintain inventory of completed products.
Check output for quality assurance and document defects.

The primary purpose of this position is to assist in the administering of medications to residents under the direction of the attending physician, Charge Nurse/Nurse Supervisor, and the Director of Nursing. The administration of medications shall be in accordance with established nursing standards, policies, procedures and practices of this facility and the requirements of the state.
Duties and Responsibilities
Administrative Functions
Follow the policies and procedures of the facility governing the administrationof medications to residents.
Report errors in the administration of medications; complete medication administration error report as appropriate.
Participate and cooperate with any facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies as requested by the Administrator or the Director of Nursing.
Perform administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms, charts, reports, etc., and submit these as required.
Committee Functions
Attend and participate in care plan meetings as necessary.
Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) programs, the Pharmaceutical Services Committee and any other facility committee or program that involves the medication administration process.
Medication Administration Functions
Accurately and safely prepare and administer medications that are ordered by a licensed practitioner.
Measure, document and report vital signs according to facility policies.
Observe resident to detect response to medications and prepare report or notify designated personnel of unexpected reactions in accordance with facility policies.
Record and restock medication inventories, process discontinued medication as directed by the Director of Nursing in accordance with facility policies.
Be familiar with commonly administered medications including their use, typical dosages and significant side effects or interactions.
Duties and Responsibilities
Be familiar with common medical abbreviations, symbols and terms relative to the administration of medications as used by the facility, pharmacists and physicians.
Follow established guidelines concerning the storage of drugs and biologicals.
Follow facility procedures governing medication receipt errors including notifying the delivery source and the Director of Nursing.
Follow the facility's procedures regarding resident self-administration of medications.
Follow the labeling policies and practices of the facility.
Follow the medication card practices of the facility.
Observe and verify that medication is taken or applied as directed; document any instance where prescribed medication is not administered or taken.
Participate in the development and implementation of the resident's comprehensive assessment as necessary.
Promptly notify the Charge Nurse/Nurse Supervisor or the Director of Nursing of any errors or reactions to medications by residents.
Staff Development Functions
Attend continuing education programs as needed.
Attend and participate in orientation programs as necessary.
Attend annual in-service training programs as scheduled (e.g., Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), tuberculosis (TB), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), abuse prevention, safety, infection prevention and control, etc.).
Participate in an in-service training program prior to performing tasks that involve potential exposure to blood or body fluids.
Working Conditions
Works in office areas as well as throughout the nursing services area (i.e., drug rooms, nurses' stations, resident rooms, etc.).
