Job Purpose
The Supply Chain Management Operations Department is responsible for the oversight, standardization and technical leadership of the internal material handling operations at the Honda automobile powertrain and final assembly sites across North America. The Process Engineer position is responsible for engineering and executing the internal logistics flow of parts through a specific Honda plant to the production line. This position will be responsible for supporting the development and design of internal material delivery processes, working and communicating with stakeholders, and developing solutions through process analysis, time studies, work balancing, etc.
Key Accountabilities
* Support development, documentation and implementation of processes utilizing engineering tools (Maynard Operation Sequence Technique (MOST), AutoCAD, Visio, QMF, Excel, etc.) required to achieve project and business plan targets.
* Areas of responsibility include manpower planning, process and vanning layout design, expectation sheet development and New Model packaging evaluations.
* Identify and support implementation of process improvements in support of business plan objectives and general cost reduction.
* Execute tasks as prescribed by and maintain Specified Action Plans (SAP). Create SAP's for projects with limited complexity (less than $100,000).
* Maintain assigned process design through daily maintenance, process audits, and continuous improvement.
* Ensure all process related documentation is completed in the standard format, stored in the proper location, and communicated to all of the appropriate parties.
* Assist investigation of production related issues through situation analysis, using established problem-solving techniques and support the implementation of countermeasures.

Job Purpose:
Serve as a Process Engineer responsible for assembly process development and determining the sequence of assembly for new spec parts based upon existing process/parts lay out/process standard time (ST) and/or the maintenance and optimization of established process.

* Collect feedback from the production floor and address their concerns.

Job Purpose

About this Position:
The Supplier Process Principal Engineer position leads supplier delivery and characteristic improvement activity with automotive part suppliers in North America. Responsible for evaluating negative delivery, production, inventory management, plant/equipment, sub-supplier management, packaging control and/or workforce trends within the supply base; and developing and implementing systemic countermeasures to ensure acceptable delivery characteristics for Honda products and parts. This includes leading cross-functional collaboration in areas within Supply Chain Management, as well as New Model, Procurement, and Supplier Assurance to drive supplier characteristic improvement.
Responsibilities include:
* Lead supplier improvement activity as part of Department Business plan, reporting performance measurables and targets, forecast impact, monitor results & develop gap elimination plans to achieve Department goals
* Identifies problems on an operational and/or systemic level and conducts problem analysis / situation appraisal, which may include analysis on a specific part or assembly process (Tooling / Equipment Spec / Part Drawing Spec or Evaluation / OEE / Volume Assessment, etc.) to provide best practice processes and develop effective countermeasures to correct problems or potential problems to avoid impacting delivery performance
* Perform in-depth analysis related to the supplier's production planning, results and/or current business practices and correlation to Honda systems/requirements (example CMS) and propose improvement options
* Manage engagement strategies for suppliers that are causing impact/risk to Honda. Performing deep root cause analysis through supplier Situational Analysis, establish commitment from supplier top management, and work collaboratively to understand supplier SA and manage an overall activity SAP.
* Lead activity with concerned suppliers to understand current progress to overall SAP. Monitor, report on, and escalate suppliers that are not capable of meeting project milestones within the timeframe established.
* Perform analysis of NARS reports (A-Rank, mislabel, etc) and applicable parts and identify actual and potential problems, clarify and review with applicable departments, implement countermeasures to avoid problem occurrence from production planning through delivery
* Serve as subject matter expert to support and/or train Delivery associates in performing deep root cause analysis through data analysis, and oversee supplier situation analysis
* Collaborate in supplier selection activity with cross-functional areas to confirm and improve actual supplier capability
* Lead characteristic/systemic assessment and improvement activity after initial supplier crisis activity, as needed, to ensure supplier operational stability, efficiency, and characteristic improvement
* Lead reporting and Gemba activity for root cause analysis/countermeasure implementation to solve complex problems with/ attention to closure speed and effectiveness. Execute continuous improvement through cycling Plan Do Check Action (PDCA).

Job Purpose
Controls Engineer responsible for planning and implementation to upgrade existing and install new building controls utilizing self, team, and contractor abilities. Design Mechanical systems, develop schedules, budgets and forecasts, select materials, equipment, project staff and contractors. Estimate costs, resources and time required to complete. Ensures controls architecture consistency between sites and analyzes technology trends. This position will be joining the Facilities department in Honda Development & Manufacturing of America, LLC's (HDMA). The Facilities department is responsible for the building which includes new construction, remodels, utility management (electric, compressed air, natural gas, water), building maintenance, end-of-life equipment replacements and upgrades. The goal of the department is to create a facility that we are proud of and to serve our customers.
Key Accountabilities
* Manage BMS/BAS(Building Management System/Building Automation Systems) specification, design, and operation. Develop and implement multiyear strategy to complete BMS migration. Collaborate with HDMA Facilities controls leaders to standardize a unified approach. Manage and oversee programming and work with IT networking team.
* Support operation of Facilities mechanical and electrical systems including but not limited to centrifugal fans, burners, cooling/heating coils, pumps, centrifugal air compressors, centrifugal chillers, heat exchangers, utilities, metering, communications. Manage and maintain documentation for the site Mechanical Systems. Communicate critical updates to site system operators.
* Implement new engineering strategies and technologies to replace facilities equipment and systems at their end of life (EOL)
