Pros of working at Honsador Lumber

My coworkers and the customers that I worked with on Kauai.

Cons of working at Honsador Lumber

Based on my short tenure I would say there are obvious reasons this company is constantly being resold, management. From a General Manager who quit his position by no longer showing up for work, to a 25+ year employee that's a Sales Manager who refuses to be a team player with his co-workers, or HR and VP that think it's OK to overlook large, suspicious inventory discrepancies that affect customers and shareholders. They blamed a previous hourly employee, but that person was not with the company when these people completed the most recent yearly inventory.

Honsador Lumber benefits

Still sad I'm not there to assist customers and coworkers, but the benefit of not having to be part of uncaring management makes it worthwhile.

What do you like best about Honsador Lumber's CEO and the leadership team?

Nothing really. If I have to answer...the fact they were located on a different island than me.

How would you improve Honsador Lumber's culture?

Retrain or replace current management.

How did you prepare for the Honsador Lumber interview?

I researched the company, and obtained local knowledge...although I didn't believe some of the negative comments, I wish now that I had.

How does your compensation at Honsador Lumber compare to the industry average?

I wasn't paid enough to deal with the follies of management.

What's the diversity at Honsador Lumber like?

Considering the Hawaiian island location and my personal heritage everyone was great, except...the Sales Manager doesn't like Haole

What brings you the most joy at Honsador Lumber?

Being able to help others, especially when it's challenging
