    Physical Therapist (PT) Contract Type: Travel Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 5×8 Days Pay: $2,660/week Completion Bonus: $2,500 per contract (up to $7,500 after three contracts) Job Description ATC Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and experienced Physical Therapist (PT) for a travel assignment in Oakland, California. This role focuses on helping patients restore mobility, improve strength and function, and regain independence through evidence-based physical therapy interventions and personalized treatment planning. The PT will evaluate patients' physical conditions, develop and implement individualized rehabilitation programs, and work collaboratively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support recovery, injury prevention, and long-term functional outcomes. Assignments may include inpatient, outpatient, rehabilitation, or residential care settings depending on facility needs. Key Responsibilities Evaluate patients' physical abilities, mobility, strength, and functional limitations. Develop and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans. Provide therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and functional mobility training. Educate patients and families on rehabilitation strategies and injury prevention. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams. Support patient safety, recovery goals, and independence. Participate in care planning meetings and interdisciplinary discussions. Qualifications Active California Physical Therapist (PT) license. Minimum 1 year of clinical PT experience. Strong assessment, documentation, and treatment planning skills. Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment. Excellent communication and patient education skills. Must be able to meet physical demands of the role. Proof of required vaccinations and health screenings as applicable by facility. Training and Experience Evaluation (Weight: 100%) The Training and Experience Evaluation is designed to measure the knowledge, skills, and abilities in job related areas which may include but not be limited to: Knowledge of disease processes; Knowledge of physical therapy methods; Knowledge of safe and proper handling of patients; Ability to evaluate for treatment plan; Ability to perform tests; Ability to provide good customer service; and/or Communication skills. Additional selection processes may be conducted by the hiring department prior to making final hiring decisions. Certification The certification rule for the eligible list resulting from this examination will be the Rule of the List. A confidential eligible list of applicant names that have passed the civil service examination process will be created and used for certification purposes only. An examination score report will be established, so applicants can view the ranks, final scores and number of eligible candidates. Applicant information, including names of applicants on the eligible list, shall not be made public unless required by law. However, an eligible list shall be made available for public inspection, upon request, once the eligible list is exhausted or expired and referrals resolved. The eligible list/score report resulting from this civil service examination process is subject to change after adoption (e.g., as a result of appeals), as directed by the Human Resources Director or the Civil Service Commission.
