Compensation and Employee Benefits
Public Employees Retirement System: The City provides the PERS retirement program at the following formulas: 2.7%@57 for new members and 3%@55 for classic members. The City does not participate in Social Security.

Vacation: Vacation time starts at 80 hours annually increasing to 200 hours based on time in service.

Police Officers work on rotating shifts and work a “4-10” schedule (four, ten-hour work days). Lakeport officers are well-supported by the community and the department with a healthy equipment budget, opportunity for collateral assignments, and high-value professional development.
CLASS CHARACTERISTICS
This is a flex class. Positions are typically budgeted at the higher level, Police Officer II but are under-filled at the Police Officer I level until the incumbent acquires the full range of knowledge, skills and abilities required of a journey level Police Officer. The progression of a Police Officer I (entry level) to a Police Officer II (journey level) requires an evaluation of employee skill and performance levels by management.
Police Officers are assigned to any of a number of functional areas within the Police Department on a rotating basis.

Performs undercover and surveillance activities; interviews victims, complainants, witnesses and suspects; collects, preserves, and maintains evidence and property related to suspected crimes; serves warrants and subpoenas.
Prepares investigative reports and case information; files criminal cases with the District Attorney's Office and works with the District Attorney on case filings; provides testimony and evidence in court.

Other Functions

Any combination of education and/or experience that has provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for satisfactory job performance. Example combinations include graduation from high school or equivalent and successful completion of a POST certified basic academy. One year of current full-time experience as a police officer in a California public agency is highly desirable.

Responsibilities
Will drive a bobtail flat bed truck with lift gate.
Efficiently deliver materials to customers, providing support with loading and unloading and ensuring accurate documentation of deliveries.
Manage customer returns, meticulously validating product details to facilitate credit requests.
Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, fueling the vehicle as needed, and promptly reporting any issues to the supervisor.
Strictly adhere to DOT standards and regulations to ensure compliance and safety.

Qualifications
High school diploma (or equivalent) is preferred. Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance of the job would qualify.
Possess a valid California Class C Driver's license and be at least 21 years of age.
Must have clean driving record.
Can pass a background check and drug test.
Previous warehouse experience is strongly preferred, but not required.
2 years of professional driving related experience and/or training.

It is vital for the outreach coordinator to assist the target population in awareness and access to victim services. As the outreach coordinator, you will have the responsibility of ensuring grant activities are carried out on time and within budget. Grant activities include attending community events, reaching the youth population, referring clientele to the Tribe's victim advocate, and conducting an annual Victim Awareness Event.

Early Head Start Home Visitor Reports to: EHS Family Services Coordinator
SUMMARY: To provide comprehensive and culturally sensitive support services to families participating in the Early Head Start program with the purpose of support and education. Maintain consistent on-going contact with families and work with all other program components (mental health, health and nutrition, disabilities, family services) to integrate educational goals and developmentally appropriate practices into the family setting. Drive to family home and deliver developmental, social and nutritional information and parents via weekly 90- minute meetings for each family on roster. (up to 12)
Assist parents in establishing and implementing long and short-range goals for their children, facilitate home interactive educational activities and model effective parenting skills in order to help strengthen and increase familys knowledge of child development and understanding of how children grow and learn.

Job Description
EDMO's summer team members spend about 6 weeks of summer connecting with kids, honing leadership skills, and making a real impact - all while rocking wacky costumes and getting pied in the face! Our summer positions offer a unique opportunity to help kids uncover hidden talents and dive deeper into existing talents. Spend your summer pursuing your goals and developing invaluable, transferrable professional skills (including problem solving, classroom management, and coaching).
The Instructor is responsible for teaching all science/maker curriculum for elementary-aged school children. They train on all EDMO curriculum and will teach 4 periods of enrichment. This year's maker themes include: Dinosaurs, Chemistry, Forensics, Earth Science, Engineering, Art and Movie Making. Instructors should be prepared for a summer filled with personal and professional growth, classroom management practice, and a whole lot of FUN! Note: These programs are taking place in-person for summer 2023.
Main duties include:
Approaching education with passion and excitement and building positive role model relationships with campers
Leading four periods of enrichment curriculum daily with themes varying by week
Coaching Counselors working with you
Refining curriculum and adding personal contributions as seen fit
Working closely with other staff members to create fun camp games, songs, skits and activities - and participating in all
Helping to lead daily camper check in and check out procedures
Interacting with parents in a professional and energetic manner
Helping to cultivate healthy self-esteem and a natural love for learning
Ensuring all campers are safe and have a positive experience in our program (this includes diligently following all EDMO Covid-19 guidelines)
Exhibiting the EDMO Vibe and demonstrating through actions and words each of the social emotional learning (SEL) skills of empathy, responsibility, initiative, collaboration, problem solving and emotion management, while also reinforcing these qualities in other staff and kids
